Used to hangout with 4 other people in Team Fortress 2 for 5 years. Russel typed something out, put my name in front of it and made it look like I said something completely uncalled for and unlike my character. They then decided to believe him over me just because he was co founder of the clan. He HATED me. It was biased and they knew it but still refused to listen to me and blocked and deleted me over Steam and banned me over TeamSpeak. 5 years WASTED! It broke my heart. It shook me pretty bad and I felt very depressed.

 

3 years had gone by since they all deleted and blocked me. I had JUST moved on. One of them added me again recently named Slayer. I was very close to this guy and we were good buds, havin' fun and talkin personal shit. He betrayed me and ditched me along with the group.

I decided to "humour" the situation for a bit and "hear him out" so to speak. He was like "they backstabbed me too and kicked me out not long after... blah blah blah!" I was like "mhmm", very dismissive, still pissed and biting my tongue.

Long story short, he was like "Do you forgive me?"

I thought about it for half an hour. I finally got back to him, told him I couldn't forgive him for betraying me and cannot rely on him not backing out again in the future, then blocked and deleted HIM. That felt real good. He used to hang out with his friend Grim whom he prioritized over me during that 5 year period and even then, during the 3 year one, still prioritized him but figured I could be a good "backup plan" should shit go south with Grim or if he isn't on. Fuck that noise.

 

 

Then, another one of those fuckers named Fail who also co founded the group, added me back not long after and acted like nothing happened. Soon as he was like "Just thought I'd add you and see how you've been."

"How I've been?! Fuck YOU! You fucked up the only meaningful friendship you had and you thought to add ME back with no apology? FUCK OFF!" I said and blocked and deleted him too.

It felt fantastic. Finally, I got to be in control of the situation. THEY didn't get a chance to defend themselves. They now know MY pain.

 

So yeah, needless to say, I know exactly how you feel.

This doesn't "piss me off" so much as it makes sigh at how pathetic it is: the the Beth Supporters vs. Beth Bashers arguments over on the FO76 Announcement thread. By now both sides have said everything original they can say. Yet they keep talking and bringing up the same tired points. It's exactly like watching fanatics argue over religious issues. Or political issues. Or sports. TV shows. Even fashion styles...

 

I dropped out of the discussion entirely. Basically everything that I expected and feared Beth would do, they did. And I'm tired of being pounced upon by the pro-Beth fanatics. I wish I could say this was a new experience. But having Asperger's it's not. People have misinterpreted and/or used anything and everything I say since I was a child. Which just reminds me of the areas in which I'm dysfunctional.

I don't even fall into either category yet I get the impression that my posts might have been mistaken for both at some point despite a complete lack of Asperger's Syndrome. Don't see it as a failing on your part when Tunnel Vision and projection from others is a more likely explanation for the communications break-down.

I don't have a dog in the fight, so to speak, so it just amuses me somewhat.

Vengeance isn't good. however, if you know you and someone don't mix. Can't mix or work together and just will cause pain (to either party) it is time to separate and go your own ways. It is the  healthier thing to do.

It's sad how Black Friday is a thing. 

 

Lot of people here tried fighting it, petitions on Change.org, people want to be with their families on Thanksgiving, not opening a damn store at ungodly hours. 

 

It started with making store employees coming in super early, 4 am Firday, then it was midnight Thanksgiving night. Now it's working Thanksgiving. as well as Friday.

 

Then you got the mobs rushing the doors at opening, sometimes killing or injuring sales clerks who open the doors. 

 

But money talks and people swarm the stores for those bargains. If they wouldn't the stores wouldn't open.

 

I stay home, and, yeah, I'm getting stupid internet crap.

People who turn into petulant, irrational children if anyone says anything even remotely bad about FO76. Not (just) on this site but IRL as well. A friend of the friend who had me play his copy to see if I would buy it defended the game up and down and then threatened me with real violence when I said, in as many words, "It was buggy and dull, so I didn't care for it."

 

A stream of invective and baseless assumptions came out of his mouth, followed by threats that he would bleed me "like a stuck pig." Unfortunately for him, an associate was recording the scene on her smartphone. He's currently in jail awaiting trial, actually, with the video being held as evidence. His little outburst attracted the attentions of an off-duty cop at the bar. Depending on how he pleads, I may be making an appearance in court as a witness some time soon.

 

This experience has made me realize I'm better off leaving the subject completely. I don't have anything against those who like it. But I do have an issue with being attacked verbally or otherwise when I express my honest opinion based on my experiences.

 

The worst part wasn't the threats but the assumptions. Whenever someone "assumes" anything they make an ass out of u and me. I don't care if they make an ass of u, but don't make an ass of me. That's my job.

Some of us 'Muricans are fed up with "American traditions" as well. Black Friday isn't even a "tradition" but something FDR instituted during the Great Depression to stimulate the economy by encouraging people to spend money. And businesses have kept it going as a gimmick to make more money. A lot of those same companies are now the ones who "import" the idea to other countries.

 

Black Friday is a practice I would actually like to see killed off. But I don't expect it to happen. "Money talks" and all that.

I was told (and seen at least once) from a friend that works in retail, where a person acted like it was a fucking swap meet... when the price was 150 dollars they tried to get a deal lower by showing others selling it for a lower price. In the personal experience (went to meet them for lunch and was waiting) they had the balls to stated "I'll buy it if it was x dolllars (crazy price low)  and other shit.

I am older... I would appreciate it but where I live even the "twice older" or those that are "old" aren't interested in romance...

black Friday is a scam I agree. (part of the required posting for the thread :P) when you can go a few weeks later or early the next year and find it way cheaper than the price on black Friday or worse on cyber monday you find it cheaper... They could have done better.. they have at times (and I had proof) raised the price for the black friday weeks before the actual event only to lower it to a few % below the previous perm price. Such a scam.

The first number (before a decimal) is a thousand, three numbers after decimal are hundreds, and two numbers after second decimal are Lipas (100 Lipa = 1 Kuna)

Most of those sales on Blak friday are fake. The shops indreses the prices few days or weeks before the Black Friday and they just return the prices back.
