Solicitation for keys has been changed, so you get actual keys (which means you can now use this feature to escape devices requiring rare keys as well).

Ohhh that sounds useful!

 

Does it also mean the "drop useful keys" option will now also drop useful keys for Cursed Loot devices? (for example only feet restraints keys when you're wearing slave boots, only head restraints keys when you're wearing the striptease collar and so on?)

If you're using buffs to encourage keeping devices on, have you considered support for Enchanted Devious Devices?

It's obviously in the pretty early stages, but it looks like it would mesh with Cursed Loot perfectly!

 

I have chosen a simpler approach. Instead of changing each and every DD item out there, Cursed Loot's device buffs feature is just checking if a type of DD device (e.g. Chastity Belt) is worn and applies the respective buffs if that's the case. This way the feature will be compatible even with DD devices Cursed Loot isn't aware of. That and I don't have to override hundreds of devices. I am lazy like that. ;)

Is there any chance for Leah/Leon stuff to give you a "trusted" item set when reaching a certain disposition?

 

Instead of it just removing  another piece, the thing syou have to wear at all times are now:

Collar (ofcourse)

Thigh ebonite ballet boots

Ebonite gloves

Ebonite Corset

Bra and belt with plugs and piercings

 

So you no longer are stuck with arm cuffs, ankle chain, gag and catsuit (and maybe allowed to wear a non armor dress ontop)

 

Kind of like you served Leah well enough so you get some extra freedom overall.

Ofcourse if you screw up too much, it's back to the full original set :P

Hello! So on my new play through, whenever I get any restraint put on me by an NPC, I get this huge papyrus spam (a part of it is shown on above spoiler). It doesn't go away when I get the restraints off. It causes huge lags, and my papyrus log reaches like 100mb un half an hour.

I really wasen't interested in airing dirty laundry, i kept my mouth shut about the details all this time regardless of how betrayed i feel, but i guess now i have to interject just to defend what little legacy i get to leave behind here after i'm gone. Well done.

 

 

You know that reason i hate the CBBE body, the one you'd rather not mention? The fulcrum on which the entire issue pivots? Yeah, that one. Let's bring that into the light shall we?

 

 

Those of you who have paid attention to the last few pages of the DDx thread already know this, but for those of you who haven't, here's the deal:

 

I'm a childhood rape victim, a fat hairy old man raped me and subjected me to non-stop psychological abuse for almost an entire year when i was 8 years old. This kinda screwed me up inside, as such things are want to do.

 

For the last 15 years i've been trying to get help to deal with the severe psychological trauma this left behind (Chronic major Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, General Anxiety Disorder, Gender Dysphoria, Social Anxiety Disorder, Trust Issues, all of which i have been officially diagnosed with), and for just as long i've been denied any help at all, outside of the Doc giving me some Anti-Depressants to eat. We live in a society that see's rape as purely a "womans issue", even though we know that it isen't, and thus, male victims are an inconveniant truth. There is little to no help avalible to us.

 

Why do i hate CBBE? Well let me tell you what happened the first time i downloaded that body and installed it for Skyrim: I launched the game, left Breezehome and walked about Whiterun for a bit to have a look at it, and suddenly this cold feeling of dread starts to creep down from my neck, into my shoulders and down my back.. something about it just didn't seem right to me, part of the body was hyper feminized, but others, like the wide feet and shoulders, seemed strangely masculine to me, something just didn't.. and then it clicked. In that moment i was hit by a post traumatic flashback in which i remembered a.. scene.. from my childhood. I've had many flashbacks to the rapes themselves, but this was almost worse.. in that moment i remembered what happened after the first time he raped me. I remberrd comming out of the room, and i felt like i needed to take a dump because i just had this guy's cock up my arse. I went to the bathroom, i sat and waited for something to happen, but all that trickled out was blood. I rembered how i sat there for 3 houers, alone, afraid, silent, trying to process the horrible feelings inside of me, trying not to break down and cry.

 

I have been unable to look at the CBBE body ever since without feeling like i need to vomit, or that i'm about to have another horrific flashback.

 

Oh, is this unpleasant to read? Well tough, i have to deal with it every moment of every day.

 

 

You want to portray me as some petty child, quitting the mod because i didn't get things my way. Well i'd ask you all, having just read the above, does my dislike of CBBE still seem petty? Would any of you be able to play with that thing, if it made you feel that way? If it made you conjure up such memories?

 

 

No Kimy, despite my disdain for that body mod, i none the less gave it equal and full support in all the time i worked on the DD mod. I had another mod on the side for my own personal use, it contained several UNP only DD items (the meshes only had a UNP version), but i never released it, and i never put those items into DDx. Why? Because i didn't want to screw over part of the mod's userbase. Because i never wanted to split the DD community into two caste's of the "Have's" and the "Have-not's". I put aside my own feelings and played equal and fair.

 

Infact, i have actually released hot-fix patches for two of the DD Bodyslide conversions in the past. Certainly not because i had any interest in them, but because the authors were AWOL and people really needed a patch to play and enjoy DD, and i didn't want them left out in the cold. I have also helped the guy who maintain(ed) the "for him" conversion on several occations, i have no interest in males, and given my past i think you can all guess why, but again, whilst i had no interest in it, i knew that others would and wanted them to have fun aswell.

 

I know that the problems i have with CBBE are uniquely mine, and i have never asked for anyone else to share them, or for it's removal. Hell, i rember that Min at one point seriously asked if we should can CBBE support, and i said no, people use it, so we should be supporting it. All i asked was equal support for a viable alternative, and for the people i called "team-mates" to have my back and show me the same considderation in kind.

Clearly i asked too much.

 

 

You want petty? Well lets examine how DCL lost UNP support:

 

Ever since you found that CBBE catsuit mod, you started talking about how you were tempted to include it in DCL. I asked to please reconsidder as it would cause a lot of problems for the UNP side of the mod's userbase, aswell myself and other UNP based members of the team. For a while you agreed, only to bring it up again later. I begged you to reconsidder, saying that i would be a huge problem for me, but also help split the community, and asked you very politely that, if you were going to do it anyway, if you would atleast give me some advanced warning so i could prepare for it. You assured me that you would, and that you were not planning to include it, just tempted to.

 

Not long after, Koffii was done with the restrictive set, and as he waited for the set to get released, he was working on a catsuit alongside other items, because it stood clear that people did want a catsuit.

 

But then the fight happened over Skype..

 

You were really annoyed at the way the corset/belt combo was scripted to work, and got into a huge furball over this with Min and Aelie over Skype chat. I was there aswell, but seeing how heated that got, i decided to stay the hell out of that debate. I rember saying "Wow this is getting ugly. I think i'll listen to something more pleasant, like.. Slayer." and keeping out of it for as long as i could. In the end though, people got insistant that i weigh in on the issue, and i had to answer honestly, saying "i rather like the way it's been coded, i think it's a fairly elegant solution.".

 

You stormed off after that, we didn't see you for a few days, only for you to return and say.

"So, i released a new version of DCL".

"Oh, and i included that catsuit mod".

 

I knew i would probably have to quit the team the moment you said it, as i predicted that as soon as DCL did it, more would follow suit. And sure enough they have. Thus i finished up the textures i had promised people and quit the team.

 

 

No ill will Kimy? Seems to me that you wanted to lash out, and since you coulden't find a way to hit Min or Aelie (whom you probably wanted to lash out at the most), you settled for doing the one thing you knew would hurt me instead.

 

And for what? We had a catsuit in development, all you needed was a bit of patience. But it was never about that, was it. You didn't get your way, and you are so damned sure that your way is the only right way, so of course it diden't matter if someone else had to pay the price.

 

 

You violated my trust Kimy, and after i was nothing but helpful to you. Aswell you did it for the most petty and selfish reasons imaginable. After 15 years of battling alcoholism, suicidal thoughts, and fighting to get even a chance at getting some help from the medical system, working on the DD mod was the only real respite that i had left, my ray of sunshine in the storm. You took that, and you did the one thing to it that would twist it into a constant reminder for me of the rape and psychological abuse that i lived through as a child, all that i was trying to escape from. You not only hurt me Kimy, you removed the last bit of trust or faith that i had left in the empathy of people. This was the straw that broke my back.

 

That is why i added you to my ignore list, and have not wished to speak to you since.

 

 

I do hope that Coopervane understands this and comes back to us.

UUNP is no better for me than CBBE is. Why? Because they have the exact same base-shape (to facilitate conversions), which means i'd be triggered by it every single time i open Bodyslide to do anything with it, or do any kind of development for it. So it's a no go, i coulden't work with UUNP any more than i could CBBE (and for the same reason).

 

Aswell, not a single person on the DD team has bothered to speak to me since i quit the team. Not even after i made it public that i'm not doing well and actually made a serious attempt on my life a while back.

 

With friends like that, i've no need of enemies.

You're not the only one that's had to deal with really bad shit in your life.  You're not the only one that's been raped(male of female doesn't matter).  In addition to rape,  I've been blown up, shot at and seen friends killed more times than I can count in Iraq and Afghanistan(still play combat related games too as well as going to the range to shoot with my husband).  Is it shitty?  Yes,  but I choose not to let the shit in the world define who I am.

It is true that I unsuccessfully lobbied the DDI maintainers to offer official Bodyslide support for DDI. I completely respect(ed) their decision not to because it's their decision and nobody else's. But yes, when I saw little chance to reach common ground, I decided to add an own item library to Cursed Loot which would support Bodyslide only. It was a decision based on personal preference (I use Bodyslide and yes, I really wanted to add latex items to Cursed Loot, since that's a huge passion of mine) and what I thought is best for the mod in the long run (even back in that day, fixed body mods lost market share in favour of Bodyslide, despite UUNP wasn't even available then). In all brutal honesty, I do not feel obliged to support the same body mods DDI does just because DDI happens to be a hard requirement for Cursed Loot. DDI maintainers make decision for their mod. I make decisions for mine.

Yes, as a consequence of my decision, Bodyslide became pretty much a requirement for Cursed Loot. And I am completely fine with that. Mods have requirements, and Bodyslide is one of my mod. That's all. People who don't like Bodyslide are welcome not to use Cursed Loot. I don't like Death Alternative at all, but you won't see me going to SkyrimLL's thread and throw a tantrum there because SD+ requires DA. I put a four digit number of hours into making Cursed Loot. I believe that gives me the right to support the body mod I am actually using myself, no? Nothing I do on my end impacts the DDI framework in any shape or fashion. If a DDx maintainer doesn't want to work with Bodyslide or look at the bodies produced by it, I am hardly forcing them to, nor could I. DDI and Cursed Loot are independent projects. When UUNP took up steam I added support for that as well. Yes, Cursed Loot will never support any fixed body mods. Again, if people don't like Cursed Loot's requirements (which include Bodyslide) they are welcome not to use it. If people want to mod DD and support UNP, they can help mod the DDI/DDx framework (which still supports that body) or start their own mod. That's all I have to say to that matter.

Do you really think i don't understand that horrible things happen all around the world? That i've never heard of the Rwandan genocide? Josef Fritzel? 9/11? The "dancing boys" of Afghanistan? The holocaust? Do you really think i belive that i am the only person in the world who has ever lived through something bad?

 

 

Do give me atleast a modicum of credit..

And no, i am not "claiming PTSD", i've got the diagnosis to proove it. Just because teenagers on Tumblr love to self-diagnose themselves with all manner of crap, does not mean that everyone's a faker. And if you have trouble understanding how a "cartooon body" can trigger a flashback, well, try telling that to the war vets who have experianced flashbacks watching children play with toy guns.

 

It doesen't work that way, triggers do not always make conveniant sense. Sometimes, it's really odd and unexpected stuff that ends up triggering repressed or traumatic memories. Look into it if you wish.

 

 

And for the record, i am sorry for the pain that you've had to go through aswell.

Why did you feel the need to write all of this? You're effectively belittling him for his trauma. Is it because you think Coopervane isn't telling the truth? I don't know him, and I couldn't verify if what hes saying is true, but I have no reason to disbelieve his account of childhood trauma. Triggers probably can be weird and idiosyncratic. They don't always have to make direct or logical sense. I'm pretty sure lots of combat vets with trauma still retain a love for say, shooting, even with the connections to their trauma. Same thing with sex games.

 

Is it because you think he's coping with it badly? You're obviously awfully resilient in your own way - no doubt about it - but that's absolutely no reason to belittle him this way. After all, I'm pretty sure combat vets without trauma diagnoses would typically *not* judge those who struggle with trauma more. Same with childhood sexual trauma. And childhood traumas are even harder to cope with in many ways - children don't have the same coping strategies as adults. There's greater vulnerability.

 

And funny thing is, however resilient we all are in our own idiosyncratic ways, we all have our weaker points too.

 

Is it just a Coopervane vs Kimy thing? That is in many ways, between them. I'd rather not choose sides - I see both of them as humans who have contributed much to this community out of their own good will, and whose fight may well have arisen out of misunderstandings, frustration, human misjudgements, lack of communication, what-the-fucking-ever, rather than pure malicious unadultered intent. I'm a bloody forum lurker, not a judge or mediator. I'd hope none of us here would encourage personal attacks against either Kimy or Coopervane.

When I said 'claiming' it was ment to refer the part about the body as opposed to rape mods, not the actual existence of the condition.  Sorry for the confusion there.

 

As for the first part, obviously you wouldn't claim to be the only person with issues, but you do come across that way.  It really sounds like someone a few months back that was pretty close to demanding Kimy change a specific feature of the mod because it was incompatible with something else he used.  Perhaps it isn't intended, but it does come across rather self centered.

 

Finally, on flashbacks, as a vet of both theaters, I'm well aware of wartime issues(see the part in my original post.  That doesn't mean they can't be overcome.

I don't use it Zhash61, but neither will i directly contribute to it any longer.

 

If you've missed it, i'm not a random "demanding" poster, i'm was one of the Developers of the DD framework (i ran both the DDx mod, and also the maintenance of the DDa mod after Zadil left, alongside running maintenance on the DDi mod and contributions to the CD mod among many others), i was working on DD before Kimy even joined this community. I have made textures that are included in this very mod. Go look at the "Credits" section of this mod and you will find my name. There is history here, personal history, a whole lot of history and conversations, Skype chats, development planning and discussions, that you haven't been privy to, but that Kimy and myself have.

 

 

And no, i'm not saying this to make myself sound important (i'm really not that kind of person, i've never really cared about titles or "prestige"). I'm saying: Shit went down that you don't know about, and it's personal between Kimy and myself. I woulden't have said a thing, i didn't for over six months and i have stayed out of this thread for a very long time, but then i got an email telling me that i just got named and shamed here, and so here i am to tell my side of it.

On my last quest I got captured by a slave chastity belt and found a slut collar. Naturally the quest-giver raped the dragonborn during the debriefing (without stopping talking) while his sister stood by, looking down and commenting on how grateful everybody was for me :)

 

Awesome accidental scene and timing, but shouldn't the slave chasitity belt have interfered a little bit with the sex?

 

Not if it was considered an Open back chastity belt. :blush:

It's not that simple, as someone asked Kimy what she did to Coopervane, while posting a link to a post made by Coopervane in a different thread. Kimy responded. Someone notified Cooper, and, well the results were as thus.

 

I guess the person whom asked Kimy the question could have done so via a Private Message, Kimy could have chosen to either ignore the question or respond back via a PM. And Cooper could have chosen to ignore the response. But since none of that happened, we were witnesses to the crap storm that occurred in this very thread.

 

Now, to get off this subject, I got a question on what is happening with my current playthrough.

 

So I started a new playthrough, and a cursed loot event happened which placed on me a full set of gear. Now I am heading to Windhelm as the quest to free my character from this Yoke sends me there. What is weird is that it appears any enemy mob that attacks me dies in an explosion that gets triggered once they have landed a hit on me. Anyone know what is causing this if it's caused by DCL at all?

I just wanted to tell my side of the story after the linked-below post got pointed out to me. Well that, and also i've not eaten for days, and i was just starting on my second bottle of cheap vodka for the day, so i kinda felt like venting some pent up frustration (call me what you want, but atleast i'm beeing honest about it).

My response was as short and universal as it's possible for me in a foreign language, but i thought you would get what i'm trying to say w/o having to read all the details.

 

Points is:

You keep telling people what your point is over and over again. isn't your free time as precious as ours?

 

Reading Kimys post after yours, it's hard to re-arrange things especially if they have the dimensions of your postings.

So all i get out of this - from a pure objektive point of view - is that you both have perferences that you followed but that for one reason or another excluded each other. But where exactly did the problem come up that led to those postings?

Maybe i'm to rational (remember: objective view) to see what's going on, what finally prevents me from understanding why both of you aren't just bringing this to an end, preferable by at least trying to have a conversation or if needed just avoiding each other.

 

Why an objective view? Because i wasn't there when the shit supposedly hit the fan, so i try to keep a point of view, that's as neutral as possible.

i'm not going to pretend that i understand things on a personal level, because i don't. i'm not going the way of a hypocrite.

Guys and girls,

May I suggest everyone taking a deep breath and dialing back magnitude of the crap storm that is raging here?  I've been a part of this awesome and friendly community for some time, albeit a silent part, but still...  my impression from all this  (yes, I know I that my opinion is un-informed and probably I don't know alot...), but based on all that I have seen and read in LL so far, am pretty sure that there were no ill will from anyone here.

 

Yes, stuff got ugly and personal, feelings were hurt, there were probably a couple of misunderstandings on top of that... When we are talking about a group of people, different people with different interests, such things WILL happen sooner or later, and they are never pretty. The big question I think is - shit happened, and what now? Do we continue with the crap storm, or perhaps we should take a step back and look at the bigger picture - this forum is a  very nice, accepting and relaxed online place

 

Coopervane - if my un-informed opinion means something in those circumstances,  I really do not think that anyone, Kimy included truly meant you any harm or had an ill will of some sorts. Yes, you were mentioned in this thread, but shamed? My impression is that Kimy simply stated her opinion and thats about it. You stated your opinions and reasons. That is legitimate, and personally, I understand very well the reasons for your decisions,  considering the horrible events in your past that you've described.

On the other hand, I think that Kimy is right as well here - for starters, simply because it is her mod, her work - and she has all the rights  to do anything with her work. And that includes decided what is required and what is not. From what I gathered up until now, I think that events simply got out of hand, then personal feelings were involved and then stuff went downhill very fast.

 

In any case, be safe Coopervane! Obviously, I cannot speak for others, but personally I really appreciate all the work you have done for the community. 

 

 Anyways, thats what I think - a perspective from someone uninvolved...
