I loved the Cursed quest...the little surprise is an incredibly underused character...hehehe, stupid me and setting the maximum setting for high-security and parting gift...I think Master will be interested in the plans for these...all the more reason to avoid the shop for a few days...

2.0 gave me some issues after I finished your fantastic Cursed Collar quest. Container events wouldn't trigger, even with a clean save. Turns out that Cursed Loot needed Actor Events running. Not sure if that's intended. Also, the belt was having issues detecting the piercing, but I think that's just because I haven't done a clean save of DDI/DDx in a while. Ended up having to remove that check from the script. 

 

Anyway, loving the update! Keep up the awesome work!

 

I have the same issue as above, i get to the chest and pick up the items and can wear all but the belt always fails to equip as it beleives plugs or piercings are missing.

 

If i continually mash the equip on the belt it adds it but does not progress the quest. i tried progressing the quest via the console but that didn't work either.

 

the mod is awesome and maybe its something i havent done right but i cant progress past this section. any assistance would be great.

The belt checks if there are -both- an vaginal -and- anal plug, plus a vaginal piercing equipped. You need all three, otherwise the belt can't be put on. If you can't equip the belt despite wearing all three required devices, it's quite likely a savegame issue. Can try starting a new game and see of you can equip the belt to confirm whether that's the case.

I had a run on the updated mod and can only say "Wow!!!"

You're really did it, especially the cursed collar quest!

Only gripe i had that it was metal boots used and not ballet ot pony ones, but it's ok.

Oh, and how about making those gifts at the end random?

And maybe include some more items? :)

Quick question RE: Cursed Collar

So I'm probably going to start this quest today (Arousal > threshhold -> 100% chance of event -> 100% Special -> 100 Curse Collar w/0 for everything else; this should work, yes?) and I just wanted to see if this quest carries the same risk as the Forbidden Tome quest.  What I am asking is this: is there a chance of a location for advancing the quest being in Solstheim because I'm not really doing the main story and I don't especially want to go there?

 

Second question:  Is it likely to cause any problems if I revert my settings to what I normally use while the cursed collar is equipped or should I resolve the cursed collar first?

Yes, settings like these would work.

 

If my memory doesn't completely betray me, I didn't add Solstheim to the list of possible locations, so it should be safe for main quest avoiders. :)

 

You can safely revert the settings back to normal after getting locked into the Cursed Collar. Mind you to set any escape options (e.g. key drop rates) to your preferred values -before- you start the quest though, for they will be inaccessible when wearing any restraint.

Good to hear.  If I end up playing Skyrim again after the current play through (highly likely) I'm almost 100% sure I'm just going to disable the Dragonborn DLC (possibly Dawnguard too though I'm not 100% certain that I'm not using mods that rely on its assets).  Last question...for now!!!

 

Any idea how the slave collar, cursed collar and high security restraints interact with the Captured Dreams 'Assist a Customer' quest?

I haven't tested it yet, but the CD master would be unable to remove any non-generic DD device, either from my mod or any other using the same mechanics for quest DD items. See the section "Conflicts" of the Cursed Loot module readme.

A few bugfixes:

 

Version 2.1

Fixed - The trapdoor to the Deep Dark Dungeon should no longer be locked when it..well...shouldn't be locked.
Fixed - Yet another attempt at fixing properly cancelling sneak mode when getting equipped with cursed loot.
Fixed - When unequipping the slave collar, the nudity enforcement effect is now terminated reliably.
Fixed - The slave collar and its keys are now getting destroyed on unlock.
Fixed - Removed several skeletons from Deep Dark Dungeon that could theoretically equip cursed loot on you during the collar quest.

After finishing the quest, that mad deadra locks me une few chastity devices. I had some keys to unlock them but... it works for the collar, the belt but the bra (Hight Security Chastity Bra) says me it's impossible to release me. I just can't access the menu to force it or unlock it...

Yes, that's intentional. You cannot unlock the high security items with conventional keys. You will have to go to a blacksmith to do that (and pay their bill).

A few bugfixes:

 

Version 2.1

Just gets a bit tiresome having to completely un-install the previous version before installing these new versions. Especially when it's just a bugfix.

Hm, Cursed Loot is not exactly a heavyweight in terms of download size. And in your mod-manager, the difference between a patch and a full update is exactly one click (the one click being the uninstall button), no?

Well, i have to go to an inside cell, disable the mod, save, exit the game, uninstall the mod, reopen the game, save, exit, install the new version, run BOSS and the SkyRe Reproccer, reopen the game, and hope it doesn't CTD. And the save/load stages is x4 since i have four characters at the moment.

Would be nice to have it as a patch, so i just go to an inside cell, save, exit, install patch, then reopen the game and load.

Help i can t seem to understand why its not working:

 

i have to equip the cursed plugs and the piercing

 

Then i try to equip the belt but it says i didnt equip everything and also CTD often.

 

 

i Attached my papyrus that by the way is quite dirty :( (help appreciated)

This log does indeed contain an error that would explain that.

Thing is that the OnEquippedFiler() in question looks only for standard DDI keywords. They should absolutely be there if DDI is installed properly. Is this a new savegame or an older one?

Only 130, and the vast majority of those are simply armor or weapon mods. I rarely have any sort of problems with Skyrim, really. I'm not sure why the logs are so horrible. 

 

*nod nod* Looking at the log, I think the function checking for the optional mods is having a hiccup, that's why I was asking.

 

 

Ah, I see. I guess I should have mentioned at the beginning that I have all the required mods and none of the optional ones installed. I ALSO should have led with the fact that I'm a big fan of your work, and of your quick responses. Thanks for both!

 

 

A hunch tells me that you might get this to work if you'd install Captured Dreams (even if you have otherwise no plans to use it) and run LOOT on your installation if you haven't already. I know that this sort of defeats the purpose of optional mods being optional, but looking at your log, that's what it doesn't like.

 

Ah, thanks! Set up a quick test, and it does seem to have fixed it. That's fine - CD is great, too. I had actually uninstalled it temporarily just to try to avoid heavy loads or issues during initialization of a new game. Oh, the irony!

 

 

Yeah, this bug is quite odd. I didn't actually change that particular function since Cursed Loot V1.0, but it seems with heavy mod load it hiccups when some optional mods aren't present, despite the code is written to deal with exactly that. Skyrim being Skyrim I guess.

 

Skyrim being Skyrim indeed. Anyway, great work! Played through the new quest, which was as awesome as the rest of the mod has been (which is to say, very)!

Quick question about special events : does the %age of special events apply to normal events, e.g 30% of cursed loot events are "special", or is it a separate roll? it's quite hard to grasp at first install.
