Yeah, that's what I think too. Took me a bit and then I realized Fort Hraagstead is just to your right. Kept trying to think which ruins were in enough northern snow and pine trees yet WSW of a road someplace.

 

Might have answered earlier but I was getting the Atlas mods. Then again, they might be the only reason the location came to me. Hoping the world encounters notification is what I hope it is.

 

I wonder if all the ruins look the same because that's the only way they knew how to make arches that didn't fall in, or if it was some kind of dragon GPS so they knew which were real and which were trap locations. :P

 

 

If the ancient Nords were anything like the current Nords, 99.99% of them were swinging axes and swords, and only one figured out how to build an arch.   :D

Well, unless you flooded the western Pale and that's Mzinchaleft rising out of the water as seen from Frostmere :P

There's a tower of a very lonely witch below you too. I can never find the pathway in and often have trouble sneaking up on her.

This might be easy or hard... I have some LOD issues in this one I think (and have issues generally with LOD I would like to fix at some point) probably relating to the summer overhaul I am using (and I wouldn't mind replacing, I'd like shorter grass).

 

I didn't realize I could see something from this location though, so I'll post it. There should be more than enough clues to name it but whether you can name what I was surprised to see .. dunno.

I had been there recently and recognized it because of the Dibella statue, the gems on the barrel, and of course the Argonian himself.

I was using one of the dwarven bikini cyborg models trying to see if a floating magical mechanical would look strange or not. Turns out the one body type that hides the head arms and legs does let you wear a helmet though the gauntlets aren't workable. Weapons are though, and will "float" where the hands would be and certain helmets make oral sex visually possible. Overall I did not quite get the armor golem concept I was going for and abandoned the playthrough.

 

I wonder if Deekus and Derkeethus would play well together. And if I can rename Deekus "Kobold" instead.  Seems like there was a BG2 expansion with a character of that name.

You are thinking of Deekin in NWN1. I hated him with a passion. He later turned up in a mod as a down and out alcoholic.

Next offering. I am facing sorta ENE if the compass isn't clear enough.  I am liking the options in the MCM for atlas markers and will probably remove the carriage mod I had since I will be able to fast travel to more locations with the markers explored.

Yeah I was on top of a tower at Fort Snowhawk and I have a summer overhaul that does remove the snow.

What's the name of the overhaul and is it any good?

I don't know the Atlas name but I think that's east of the path to the Thalmor Embassy, kinda straight north from Solitude.

 

The mountains don't like quite tall enough... I remember that spot and the head because I keep thinking I can go over the hill there to the caves on the north side and there isn't a way.

 

My overhaul was "Summer Overhaul" by a Aceeq modding. Suggested by someone else on the boards here but the grasses are generally too long and thick for me. I like the water and mostly just want green instead of white. Shag carpet, not knee height savannah grass.

Exactly right.  If you go up the path to the Thalmor Embassy and bear right instead of left at the fork, you get to those dwemer ruins, which have a leveled weapon and some burial urns.

I gave it a go and it looked fantastic, apart from the mega-grass. In the Reach Stormcloak camp, stormie sat on boulder next to cooking-spit and all I could see of him was the pommel of the 2H weapon on his back.

 

Tried the Springtime version but that wasn't in the same class. Couldn't find anything else apart from tropical. Gutted. So near yet so far.

Here you go.

 

I go there for the Skooma and the badly crayoned khajiit 2000 septim promissory note.

 

(It's sort of behind Whiterun, with Skooma dealers/bandits and more Skooma dealers/bandits when you open the chest. From the point of view posted Halted Stream camp would be on your right going forward, (in modern youth speak parlance),  and fecking Silent Moons Camp sort of towards the left).
