Debuffs and Level baded progression will be completely optional. You will be able to turn it off in MCM if you don't like it.

In order to keep all happy most of the new features will be optional

I have a problem with version 1.59 (I havent tried 1.59a): I cant get past stage 4.

 

stage 1: arm cuff, stage 2: leg cuff, stage 3: slave boot, stage 4: either collar+belt+plug or harness+bra+plug

 

after that, I get the message "device added" but nothing new get added.

 

if I look at my inventory with a "show inventory", I dont see any new item.

 

I tried waiting, but it doesnt change anything. The zad animation start, I can try to escape and I have the electric shock effect playing, but ther are just no new device put on my character.

 

any idea?

 

edit: this a new game with everything freshly installed (sexlab 1.55, DD 2.7.5)

Again open to any suggestions etc.

 

My main concern is the mod becoming incompatible with other mods with debuffs, such as realistic needs. The ball gag is already a death sentence. I would avoid stacking common debuffs like stamina and magic regen.

 

The bra already has a decent effect on it, reducing bow and melee damage. Other unique effects would be much more interesting. Maybe the collar increases the cooldown on shouts, or it makes it impossible to shout. Perhaps the arm/leg cuffs reduce armor rating or magic resistance. I believe the heels already have a slow effect built in that isn't displayed. Stamina/Magic regeneration and move speed are already very common things to have debuffed. The later is also incredibly annoying.

First of all, only as long as they all remain optional. (Kain already confirmed this, but I just wanted to reaffirm the importance of this.)

 

One thought to prevent defeat at higher levels becoming a guaranteed chore would be if the multiple equips was semi-random. For example, if you'd normally get four devices added, you get 1 - 4. Defeat then carries a risk of being real debilitating, but the bandits could also be ignorant of the threat or just cocky (they did just beat you down, after all).

 

This seems like it would be best to code the random generation to instead be a random increase of your current progression so that if you're already at summit level 2 and your character level qualifies you to go up to submit level 8, the random roll would add 1 - 6 levels.

Armbinder: I thought this completely incapacitated the db until escape, already. What more is needed?

 

Legs: Definitely a speed debuff. Also, a chance to ragdoll (like RND's drunk effect) whenever you don't walk would be awesome, though I don't know well how ragdoll plays with bound animation.

 

Bra: I don't ever want this equipped. However, some interesting effects might change my position. A milking effect? Maybe describe a nipple piercing attached to the inside of the bra and deal damage when sprinting. One-handed, two-handed and archery debuffs. Or simulate the added pain of getting jostled every time you get hit with a damage resist debuff.

Thanks for all your replies. I am aware of this mod slowly doing the feature creep thing and I don't want it to become a bloated mess that causes issues with other mods etc.

 

This mod is about getting your character getting forced in to bondage devices and poses after being defeated and shouldn't stray too much from that or try and be an all encompassing mod. Therefore I think the addition of debuffs on devious devices is outside the scope of this mod. I still think it is definitely needed, but as a separate mod that people can use with this mod or any other mod that uses the devious devices.

 

As such I'm going to ask Kain if they can release it as a separate mod, maybe "Deviously Cursed Devices" :)

 

That way everything is nice and tidy.

MixedupJim please follow Kain with his manner of giving mod names in Mod Manager. It's hard to realize which version of "Sexlab - Submit + devious devices + PB" I shold activate :P

I like all your suggestions, especially the random number of items, that's really good.

Right now my level 35 or so character is going straight to gag+armbinder, no chance for funtime and posing in between device adding. Gotta go back to the previous version just so I can enjoy the progression.

What is belt/harness inventory slot?

 

Also, am i suppose to get several courier messages after my stuff gets stolen. I manage to get (some) of my stuff back from the bandit and i think he had receipt or something, then courier gave me 2 messages so i had 3 different locations. Am i suppose to buy my stuff back or is there some other way? All the PinUp Poser rings never appeared anywhere tho.

Updated Submit Progression. All new features mentioned by MixedupJim are included. I also made it compatible with DD - Integration 2.7.6

Someone edited something in the ZadQuest in the past. I removed the dirty edits the person did in the past xsmile.png.pagespeed.ic.5Yux4gu5_h.png

MixedUpJim will upload the new version soon I guess. Fresh installation/clean save of DD and Submit is recommended.

it's working really good, but is it possible to change manually the % of the debuffs on the devices? my actually pc doesnt have a real problem with current stats, and i wish to be actually punished if i get in trouble.

also, would you kindly make another sub-menu on the submit MCM menu? its a bit crowded there and easy to miss this mod features. :D

and in the end, i would advise for a no-sprint debuff  on the slave boots(like the leg shackles on SD+) with an average of 70-80% base movement speed. (you can run almost fast, but without sprint)

I recommend using Nexus Mod Manager to install this mod as it will easily allow you to select which version you want to play.

If by this you mean the FoMod Installer works with NMM it also works with Mod Organizer and though I don't know for definite I'm pretty sure Wrye Bash will Handle the FoMod installer also.

Better to simply recommend using a Decent Mod Manager.

I'd suggest Decent Mod Manager but if you want to include NMM that could be stretching it.

I've a low opinion of NMM but being a MO user my expectations are much higher than it.

Wrye Bash is Very Good for all but Skyrim, they dropped the ball by trying to merge Wrye for Skyrim with Oblivion.

The Mod's Original maker, Wrye, split the Game versions for very good reasons, he's been vindicated by the current state.

The Wrye Merger Plan is much like NMM's Mod All Games Plan, both are knee jerk reactions to the threat Steam Workshop appeared to be when it launched.

Only MO rightly ignored it as irrelevant, it never was any threat to real modding, if anything it produced more interest in modding.

Steam Workshop is just an overly aggresive downloader not a mod manager at all.

Skyrim support pretty much stopped and stagnated with both as they concentrated on other goals.

Both ignored Skyrim and planned for a tommorrow that may never happen.

Wrye Bash developement for Skyrim actually restarted this year with what should have always been the top priority.

Bashed Patches now it actually does more than make Levelled Lists, not much more but any improvement is welcome after so long with none.

There is now hope this much loved and long served manager can challege MO's Best for Skyrim.

I reject Steam Workshop as ..., I just reject it as its shit.

I reject NMM as not for Any Game, it's the jack of all games but Master of None, simply this. I choose the best manager for each game, this is not the best for any of those games.

I who once rejected Wrye Bash as not for Skyrim, still do, but it now has some potential, for now I use only the bashed patch.

Only MO keeps getting Better and Bettter for Skyrim all else is pointless diversion.

with version 1.6, I do not get any device at all with a character level 2, is that normal? shouldnt I at least get the arm cuff ?

 

For that, see this:

 

Characters below level 5 will now not receive any devices when knocked down.

Over level 4 you are now fair game and will receive 1 item from the progression list each knock down.

This number will increase by 1 every 5 levels. So by level 20 you will be receiving 4 items per knock down. 

When you hit level 35 and over you will no longer have the gag removed when you get the armbinder. You will now get both. At this level you basically get everything added each knock down

For some reason my level 7 character was getting no devices added, and my level 11 character is getting only one device at a time. As though all the stated criteria were actually shifted five levels.

Ok i checked better, when i get an armbinder equipped by this mod i have some issues...and if i try to save i get a crash.

Also i don t get any animation or scene (don t know if is supposed to be one) but i am free to go with the arminder and the submit button even with no valid targets mess with character animations.

 

I am the only one with this issue?

the armbinder will cause your character to get immediately "free", because having the armbinder is not compatible with the zad animation/scene (or at least it would be visually problematic).

 

im not really sure to understand the second part of your sentence ("and the submit button even with no valid targets mess with character animations."). can you develop a bit ?

New verison out that adds the "no sprinting" debuff to the leg cuffs as well as some coding corrections for the devious plugs.

 

Everyone, me especially, needs to give Kain1978 a big congrats because they have really fixed this mod up. Without their help things really wouldn't be working as well as they are, and the mod certainly wouldn't be as fun or configurable as it is now!

And it's an awesome addition to the mod :) Not knowing what is going to happen is pretty damn cool :)

 

Just uploading a new version as I think I have finally worked out AI Packages. Your last attacker will now walk up to you after the sex scene and say their dialogue lines wile you go through the bound poses. At the end they should return to whatever they were doing before the attack.

 

If they are close by when you escape then they will now react correctly and come after you (if they were hostile before) instead of just standing around waiting for you to hit them. If they've wondered off then you should be ok.
