I stay away from the Buddah (I can't remember how to spell it) fellow and DarkOne and there is a lady (I assume it is a lady I don't know) who I just steer clear of. Although their site seems a little broken for me right now with Chrome. I can't get their tabs to work >_< I can't download anything and I am starting a fresh install dangit. :/

It's nothing more and this sounds rather silly to me; no offense.

The group at the top are administrators. Dark0ne is the site owner, Axel is the website guy but I don't think he interacts with the membership. myrmaad is the lady of whom you speak. She's active on some other forums as well. Guest †Foggy♥Sugar† Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 My biggest thing was that calmly and (what I thought was rather polite) criticism amounted to two hours of being harassed by not only the people commenting on the mod but also the author themselves then being threatened. I just don't talk anymore to anyone directly on the forum. There's literally nothing anyone can do about it. You speak out you get the thread locked, you get harassed by children or banned. Why bother? I just want to get the mods I want and leave. I come here to actually talk to people.

And its almost always the same comments being spammed over and over "not lore-friendly" "skimpy=unrealistic" "omgitzanime". Fucking annoying. Example: "Get rid of that stupid X on the dogs face. This is Skyrim not some asspie manga". Seriously? That piece of shit hasn't been banned yet why?

You entered this thread with a long post yourself as if this was a big deal to you. Seemed heartfelt. But, now, it sounds like you're doing a 180 and saying that it is nothing.

I'm not going to sit and be ridiculed by someone who can't take criticism about a mod or by someone who seems to want to start some odd crusade. I really don't care for the tone and I'm done with this. I didn't come crying into the post about it, I thought it was a conversation about things that had happened on the site clearly I was wrong. Don't worry, won't happen again.

The mere fact that we can discuss this openly is enough proof to me at least how nice this place is in comparison. As far as the other stuff, I just don't feel like it.

Do they all equate copying with stealing? It's a false equality enjoyed by those living in luxury. Using his example, if I take a pie out of a store without paying, yes, that is stealing. However, if I walk into a store with a fancy device that can scan the pie and make a copy for me, leaving the original pie, then that is NOT stealing. Only the rich and crazy would think so. It's even more insane that he actually used an example of real food. Any bets on whether or not he has ever gone a day in his life without food?

The guy was obviously getting banned for piracy and the mod author said her share. What good does his poor example and wall of text do? Say a copy of Skyrim was a full course meal and the pirated copies were the appetizers...

To me the Nexus is two things: * A mod repository place where flaming against a mod will give you instant ban and it's a good thing. Go, create your account, take what you want and be nice, thank the modder and skip what you don't like. * A forum where any opinion against a modo or what they think is risky. This is where they fail: in the forum part. I hate censorship and was particularly hurt when the word "loverslab" was removed, even in my PM. The only reaction to that is to be more tolerant and show that we can be mature by not flaming and raging. We may attract more members in our forums just for that but noone wnats to enter a pub when there is a brawl...
