Hah, I think I was spamming YouTube in a small way recently by commenting a couple of times on Skyrim mod videos to check out LL. I removed one after I realized not everyone uses adblock and might get some unwanted adult pics showing while at work or while being underage. Funny how I forget the "adult" side of LL.

Actually, I've posted some comments on Nexus, and they contained the word "LL". Some good friend of mine warned me to delete those LL or I'll get banned from it. Then I got Confused. Why? Why in Talos' name I should not write LL in TesNexus? Is this the Hogwart or something so I must not say HIS name?

 

So I've read all 23 pages of comments in 'I got banned from Nexuss...' thread.

 

Actually... I was a high-ranked member in my local community. This means, I can access all the files from there. But I hate that VERY point. They discriminate people for their rank. And I've left our local community, mostly because they've banned people just for joinning their 'rival' community. I've not been banned, but it doesn't mean it's not unfair.

 

... You know what? How they could know if a member is registered in certain 'forbidden' community? OMG, they joined THAT site and watched who are the members. And it was the most ridiculous...or disgusting thing I've ever seen.

 

 

so this is my question. Should I hate the NEXUS too?? argh... I really coufused. I thought the Nexus is fine place to be my new home, but...

I wasn't familiar with this "Nexus" until reading this thread. Or rather I got half way through it so far. But I do plan to come back later and read the rest. It's kind of compelling and draws me in. It's amazing to me how many people have such vicious things to say about a web page dedicated to video games. 40+ pages no less... speaks volumes about the shenanigans going on. If even a tenth of these things are true, (which there has been ample evidence provided here already). This Nexus is clearly the work of the Illuminati. I'll be sure to steer clear from utilizing it in the future.

I'm new here and I'm new at The Nexus.

 

Being a newbie to the PC version of Oblivion, I joined Lover's Lab after reading HanPL's posts at HongFire and seeing the sexy Oblivion pics. Beats the PS3 version I've played for years! Decided to spend a few bucks and get Oblivion for the PC, and I registered at Lover's Lab. Got a LOT of help here. Even when I was frustrated - I received assistance. No insults - no warnings.

 

So...

 

I make a post here (at LL) because I'm pissed off at the lack of help The Nexus provides to newbs (maybe they helped people before - not so much now). I was pissed at how I have to clean almost every single mod I download from that site, pissed at the ass kissing sheep who'll recommend a mod that doesn't actually work, and pissed at mods that break other mods. Its an authority site - just not a very bright one.

 

Because of The Nexus, I've reinstalled this game three times since January. I pretty well have a grip on things now, but here is my bit:

 

I get a private message to my account at The Nexus telling me to remove my anti-Nexus post here at Lover's Lab or risk being "reported". This message "requested" that I do not ever again speak about The Nexus at Lover's Lab.

 

My username is the same here at LL as it is at The Nexus. I'm an idiot, I know. I was new and wanted to play a sexy game. Didn't realize there was politics involved.

 

I can always make a new account there - which is what I'll probably do - but I'm not sure I want to. I think I've leeched everything from them that I'll ever need.

I find myself curious as to if it was a staffer or some random tattletale that likes to scope out bad remarks about the Nexus. Someone reported a thread on Mods Reloaded because DarkOne himself registered an account just to post a single (or as I like to call it, a drive-by snarking) remark. You don't have to elaborate if you would rather not. I won't pry. I would suggest you ask to be banned on Nexus so that you can register a new account without running afoul of their "rules." Then you can name it something different.

I would not be doing that. They still have means to track you down. Then anyone behind a proxy will be penalized by it. Since it could also remove this in a future. Then no one would be able to use proxy on nexus.

 

There was a hacker who also hacked nexus who was hiding behind a proxy they still managed to track him down. And then they could release the police on you since it is technically a crime what you are sying in your post.

I've noticed users on the Nexus Skyrim forums frequently and openly tell others certain mods can be found at LoversLab. I've seen a ton of load orders posted in the Fallout sections with Sexout mods in them. None of those people get disciplinary action.

 

I'm going to guess the Nexus has adopted a live and let live policy.

There I said it for you and the Nexus can suck my left nut as well as whatever brown-nosing sack of crap sent you that threat. I guess it is wise to use different email accounts as well as login names for both places (not to mention a proxy for the F'ing Nexus). Personally, I actually don't mind the Nexus itself but just hate all the trolls and moderators over there.

Off topic, but I have the "Elsweyr Deserts of Anequina" mod. It's also on 4shared. I was going to upload it as an additional mirror but I can't find anywhere to take such a big file. I have my own 4shared account but it's been crapping out with big uploads lately. If anyone has a suggestion on a good file host for big files please let me know.

Back then, a ~500 MB upload was still possible, it just took a long time. There's also Gregathit's Mediafire version split into four parts, links to it are in post #8 of the same thread. It's clearly a disadvantage the thread is hidden away in the less frequented 'Oblivion General Discussions' instead of 'Oblivion Non-Adult Mods'. Maybe a moderator could move the thread there (in that case I'll refresh the link above then)?

 

Unfortunately I don't know any good file host for large files besides 4shared, their 2 GB limit is what made me register there in the first place.
