Why even upload a mod if you won't let anybody download it? Seen several mods on Nexus that have been hidden for over 6 months straight. (http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/20780) is the mod that suddenly appeared on the site even though in the list it shows its been on the site over 18 months.

I'd be most probably posting a question on the Nexus regarding why there is such need as an "Adult Tag" despite them eliminating people posing stuff with nipples and round jiggly things(nyahaha) exposed and stuff. With or without tag. Especially the Image Section. (Which will most probably anger the mods and probably ban me for "trolling")

If you want to ask a question with a risk then I'll be intersted in knowing if they will finally stop screwing around fixing things that worked before (they nicely fucked up the multi part archive) and actually prevent posts in the comment section to become public as opposed to be tagged as the mod itself.

 

To be clearer: CLS is an adult Mod that requires you to register and accept NSFW content to be displayed but the comment made on the webpage of the mod is public!!!

 

I called some Modo fucktard on it and he gave me a lecture although I clearly pointed out the major flaw in his system and my clear obdedience to the rules... Doesn't matter, idiot watchdog is idiot. I think I already rant about that here somewhere...

This is definitely a case where I wish that the site owner wasn't always on the side of his staffers and would listen to people. The way this moderator is being is callous and rude and if I thought it would accomplish anything I might shoot off a PM to DarkOne and mention it.

I seem to remember watching one of DarkOne's YouTube videos where he basically called people "whiny bitches" with pretty much those exact words. I see no reason to presume he's any better than his dogs who work for free while he sits on his throne of gold.

 

But, damn, reading that thread, they are all nuts. Did you catch this from Cynster, "Some day it may be a site owner's obligation to report pirates to a government/group by law." Self proclaimed proud member of Nexus, too. And tjobbins, even after all that, still goes on about loving the site and actually wants back in! That kind of corruption is not easily dealt with, and a PM to DarkOne will only put a target on your head.

 

Best if everyone just left Nexus. Problem is that so many are fucked up in the same way and Nexus is not the source of it. They're just another obvious manifestation of it. And too many people care less about what is important and more about just getting their game mods.

I've read a lot of threads that people started where they had a problem with both the error and how it is worded. And that was 2 or 3 updates ago on the NMM so they obviously could care less what people thought. Their responses ranged from "Its free, deal with it" and "We're not referring to you, deal with it". I'm glad its free and works well, otherwise, I would've demanded my money back and damned it to hell XD

 

They're non-commercial website so they treat people however they see fit.

Indeed. This is precisely why I strictly refused to even have a look at NMM. We don't need it, it's useless and sooner or later it'll be yet another Nazus tool to teach you how to live your life. OBMM [insert here other name for other games] works perfectly fine and as a modder: just fucking learn how to compress your resources into a damned BSA, that's not that hard...

 

Then your mod will be easy to (un)install.

I also work for free, check my mod page and tell me if any of our team member was rude even to all the players that are challenged by multi part archive only... That'll be never. Why? Because why bother making something for a community if you're not ready to offer support for it?

I am just going to say this, the Nexus is why I am jumpy on all forums now and feel I have a ban waiting around the corner constantly. I was almost banned some time ago for not liking a certain mod I had downloaded and tried, offering images as to why I thought it needed work. I was called a 'flaming troll' though I don't understand the term to be honest; someone in the comments section even linked me to some YouTube video I didn't watch. I was harassed for a good two hours from the author and commentators before a mod pulled all of the comments off completely, after I asked them to. I was very surprised I had to ask them to put a stop to the childish behavior. I was even more surprised when I was the one who was slapped on the wrist. I was warned for 'trolling' and agitating or something like that an since then I keep my opinions to myself. I'm not a rude person, I'm never impolite and confrontation results in a physical response that is less then pleasant. There is a fellow I have been talking to on the Nexus site for maybe almost a month now who made a mod I was very interested in. He was mostly interested in a useless popularity contest and I didn't realize it for some time. He got what he wanted but the mod itself is just... awful. It's game breaking awful. Would I ever say anything like this? No way. People will sometimes for no reason it seems; defend something they have nothing to do with that is obviously inferior quality just to defend it it would seem. I'm sorry I'm really going off I don't mean to sound like this it is just very frustrating when you can't talk on a site to the people you want to talk to. It's too scary, literally scared of being yelled at and cussed out again followed by a stern warning. After reading the thread that lemonbalm shared (oh my stars your picture is SO CUUUTE!) I realized how dehumanizing it is to deal with some of those people sometimes. It just reinforces my fear and anxiety of their attitude and I feel for the guy but to walk on your knees begging for forgiveness isn't the way to go.

I've been around since Morrowind although at that time I usually played around more on Planet Elder Scrolls to be honest. It hasn't been bad all the time, it used to be just a fun community site (kind of) like this one. I'm sure it had something to do with money though, people let money make them bad. I would be some what rich now if it wasn't for money, how is that for odd? But that is a long story that fills me with too much hate, sadness and regret to get into. I'm not sure when it happened but they started treating people like minions more then anything who they don't seem to want to deal with rather then just talk to. I don't think they are all like this, only the ones you see calling people idiots, morons, useless, etc. are the ones I steer very clear of.

I'm assuming its the fame and attention that they acquired. Started to feel higher than the ordinary member. They WILL SILENCE anyone who defies them. That includes CONTRADICTING opinions especially AGAINST THEM.

Unfortunately that person's blog had the same user name and they banned that person -no joke- apparently making up that the person had linked it in their sig and they said they were soliciting their site.

The other funny thing, I think it was a prostitution mod for Morrowind that got me interested in the site that now will ban you for uploading naked pictures. Although there are mods with sexual activities. I dunno their rules contradict themselves so much now it's too hard to keep up. I rather just grab what I need then get out of dodge. I use NMM for Skyrim but it screws up Oblivion royally for me. I can't ask for help though.

NMM was more designed for Skyrim anywayz.

When my OBMM was temporarily unusable. (Cant remember why any more) i installed the HGEC body mode. I COULDN'T use it. Anyway back to teh topic. If you can go back page 54, i was planning to ask the same thing to them.

lol I have no idea. Someone posted the link on here then suddenly there was a blow up (this was maybe a little over a month ago) on the Nexus site and suddenly that person whose blog I mentioned, was banned. Mods stated they had the link in their sig, when people stated this was false the thread was locked toot-sweet. It ended as fast as it had begun. Another reason I just shut my mouth when it comes to the Nexus. They openly talk about having the authority to read PMs, Administrators & Moderators alike. For any reason they deem important, as stated by their Mods & Admins. So I just don't speak up ever.
