Apropos - Feature Request and Descriptions Submission

A simple thing that I have wanted for awhile is some control over what kinds of messages come up, like being able to make it so that submissive messages do not appear.

 

So write your own messages!

 

Gooser made this VERY easy to customize. Decauk has done most of the work for you. Start by removing the "submissive" messages you don't like. Then write some you DO like.

I wouldn't mind sharing mine when I'm done. Kind of expanding the femalexfemale in place and wanting to add some custom animation descriptions provided from NSAP that is more loving and doesn't deal with nonconsensual/submissive/aggressive sort of sex. I find myself sort of mimicking the style in place for femalexfemale and hope by breaking out into custom I can work with my own voice a bit more. Maybe will add for some of the creatures as well, though they're lower priority.

 

When making descriptions for custom scenes, is there a way to differentiate for when the two actors are the same sex, or when they are different? If not, I'll probably stay with gender neutral terms.

Post #3 updated, new version of db. Mito's Tease & Leito Cunnilingus added. Both are Pre-Sex Foreplay compatible and are consensual only.

Next update might be a while, I'm planning on stripping back existing 'generic' files, to remove any reference to position and pace. Basically, so you no longer get messages describing how the PC has bent over or spread her legs when she clearly hasn't, or that it's a fast fuck when it's clearly not.
 

The generic files (vaginal, anal, etc) will only contain generic messages that should work in any situation.

Feature request: Detailed Pregnancy Events support for beeing female.

Suggesting events pop-ups when trimster change , feeling kicks , feel sick , water broke or feel being impreged.(And have a switch for turning those option on-off)

 

I very much second this. In fact, hypothetically speaking how possible would it be to create a new mod that hooks into BeeingFemale and Apropos and reads the state from the former to output messages through the latter? I'd totally be willing to write the descriptions and stuff but I wouldn't know where to start with the scripting.

Thanks for these! Do you also have an updated list of tags (to include NSAP anims)? I know that we can see them in the Apropos log, but I have disabled logging to improve game performance and reduce CTDs (it makes a remarkable difference!)

Still working on collecting tags for the latest NSAP. Doing it together with MNC, and the latest MNC seems to be a little bit screwed.

 

I'm also getting massively sidetracked with rewrites of some other favoured mods, like Approach & Working Girl.

 

Tangents aside, my priorities right now are to refine the existing generic messages, and add generic FF lines. FF will just be NPC fucking PC for now, until Apropos supports both ways and Gooser finalises a naming structure.

I just started using the Clams of Skyrim body with the HDT vagina, and I was wondering, how feasible would it be to tie a 'gape' effect into the Wear and Tear system? Something that pushes the vagina open at high wear and tear values. Would it cause problems for people not using a body with a HDT vagina?

I can't tell you how much I have appreciated this mod and the work that has gone into it. I wanted to share my own wording preference in the attached.

 

Quick explanation: I use this spreadsheet because it is easier for me to work that way.

Each tab corresponds for an animation category, for example FemaleActor_Male_Vaginal or FemaleActor_Male_Vaginal_Rape and contains columns for each stage.

Each column corresponds to a stage in the referenced animation category.

The text is JSON friendly formatted so that you can copy and paste it right into .txt file.

All text is intended for use with the 3rd Person view.

 

The only exception here is the Synonym tab, which of course, corresponds to some, but not all, entries I tweak in that .txt file.

I haven't gotten around to working out different themes, so all content is there.

 

I just think it is easier to edit and work on one spreadsheet then trying to work across multiple .txt files. This also makes it easier if anyone wants to take a look and see if anything is of interest here.

I have a description file that works for .... I think it's fdThreesome. It plays description for characters in position [0] and [1], but nothing for position [2].

 

The issue I've come across is that when I got it working for a player character it was written with the male in the default male position. Now in SOME mods, they'll play a threesome and he's actually in a different position in the animation. So the description is... off...

 

So I need to go back in and write it a little more generically. It's still only going to describe 2 of the 3 actors, but..... until we get another update that will handle threesomes, this is probably the best I'm going to be able to accomplish.

 

REALLY want to see FF handled as well. But..... I know this stuff takes time and Gooser probably actually has a LIFE, so.... whenever.

So you mean a voiced recording of specific Apropos messages (word for word translation from eye to ear)? That would be relevant to this mod, but there is still the question of which messages to record. The closest thing we have to a default is Decauk's collection of files, but many people write their own and there is no one universally used file (though many people use Decauk's as a starting point).

 

I actually think your idea is very good, but most likely to bear fruit outside of Apropos (which was always conceived as written not spoken communication). Hence my suggestion (meant to be constructive, not discouraging) that you post it on the Mod Ideas thread. Finding an actress willing to record Apropos messages might be a challenge, but maybe you are well conntected?

Unfortunately not, but it would be really good to happen.

I know Apropos meant to have written messages, but imagine that your character would tell you what is happening with her with her own voice (this is why voice acting would be superb, because the voice actress could do it naturally (if she is good) and it would be realistic.

 

Might I will post into the mod ideas section, it certainly would add a lot to the immersion.

After giving it more thought, I think your idea might complement Apropos, all the more so for NOT duplicating the written messages. The written and aural statements could work together without competing for the same space. So while the written text could describe what is happening, the actress's voice could comment in first person (narrative complementing drama). But the difficulty will be finding a lady to contribute the sound files! If I say "Good luck with that", I mean it literally not ironically. Good luck (to all of us) with that!

I don't think it's the difficulty in finding the voice actors.  The people who did the voices for fish's SexSlave mod would probably be receptive to it.  The problem I see is you would need sounds files for each of the lines in apropos.  How many voices files would that add to the mod?  And double that so that it's not sexist (some people may want to hear a sexy MALE voice instead of a sexy FEMALE voice - and frankly I'd think there would be more of a problem getting the male voice than the female voice )  And what about the lines of dialog that are supposedly spoken by the involved parties?  If you use a generic voice for those lines, there will be lot's of complaints about how it's immersion-breaking to hear a different voice for Lydia while she's being rogered compared to her normal voice.  Maybe to bypass all of this, maybe someone could figure out how to tie Apropos into the new mod Fuz Ro Bork .

I hate to rain on the parade, but it's an impractical idea. Primarily because the text from Apropos is assembled dynamically during the game. To record actual audio for all the variations would be a HUGE undertaking.

Trust me - I'm not saying it's a good idea, or even feasible.  In that post I was thinking of the complete text, but with the word substitution done, you'd have to have basically a sound file for each word of the synonym lists, in addition to the base text being broken apart into separate sound files that have to be glued together on the fly.  And if you add on the inevitable "But I want the audio to sound like an Orc talking with a mouth full marbles!" (or whatever someone's preference are), it can get really out of hand.  So yeah it's definitely not worth it.

 

HOWEVER, with the ability of that other mod I mentioned (Fuz Ro Bork), there seems to be a way to have complete sentences given voice by using Windows built in TTS capabilities.  My only suggestion is that assuming FRB has some API for take text directly rather than through a dialog selection, it could be someone could develop an Apropos/FRB addon that sends the text to FRB.  Not me though, cause I don't actually give a flying crap about hearing someone describe to me what I can read .

I confess I had never heard of Fuz Ro Bork (FRB) until this thread. Metaton ( but shouldn't it be Metatron?) deserves our thanks for making that development visible to those of us who are pathetically behind the times. First FHRIP, now FRB. Right in the bork (whatever a bork is)

A bit of information:

 

Fus ro bork is fun, and amazing, but it's got some problems. The voice is too loud compared to other voices, and you cannot turn it down (yet)

For good voices you need Ivona voices or similar (high quality voices) which is not free. (There is a way however)

Even with those voices (they sound really nice and sweet) still a bit "artifical" and emotionless.

I am using FRB now and I quite like it, I think it is really clever idea.

However a true voice acting with all the sad/ happy / joyful voices cannot be beaten and I think a lot of people would be still happy with a bit of immersion breaking (Lydia's different voices...Mias Lair give different voices to female npcs anyway.) if they need to choose between this and complete silence. Also if the voices would be optional it would be up to the individual if they want to use it or not.

 

I did not know that the amount of text is that massive.

Ok, there is something else you might not aware.

 

It is called Estelle's apropos utility.

 

I cannot copy in the URL my phone is just being stubborn.

Google it. There is an option for Apropos TTS. Same principle as Fus Ro Bork, except that I cannot make it work, and nobody gave me any information what I am doing wrong, so...

I would be still happy with Estelle's stuff if I could install it properly.

One more thing, it is not working with the latest apropos.

The mod seems a bit dead to me, so it would be fun if somebody could pick it up or help to Estelle if she/he is still around to make a better version.

Gooser, Apropos I think one of the best SL mods out there, I bow before you.

 

While I am still here, on the request page, I have some more new ideas:

 

 

1. Some new textures would be awesome for wear and tear,

2. Also what would be really ,REALLY awesome to have a slider to control when the textures being applied (after how much damage.) For me it is a bit of immersion breaking that a troll rape my character 4 times and nothing, because the wear and tear level is not high enough.

 

3. Also there could be more stages, more damaged, ruined states beyond what we have now.

Scars are fine, could be some bite marks as well, scars or blood around the vagina etc purple or black marks on the skin.

4. Would be really cool if somehow you could implement a cum texture which would be smeared on the body and the character needs to bath to wash it off otherwise you get sick or debuff to speech or else...(npcs take advantage of her /her state.

Also : (Disgust - facial expression disgust ) until she gets rid of it.

I know for that you would need high quality textures, but hey, I am just trying.

 

5. Also what would be good is a different set of debuff for wear and tear which is a bit more realistic.

You could implement animation with slowed walk /run speed where is the character is dragging herself on a ground or just trying to keep here balance, not just a simple penalty.I know there are some anims , I have seen something like that. Also could be some poses / idles like after serious damage (like whimpering on the ground / laying or hug herself in pain, or bleeding with visual effect (even from the vagina (i think zaz got a dripping anim for vagina it might needs recolored))

Sound effects like crying/ moaning, panting. Just like in realistic need and diseases the sleepy/ hungry noises.

Could be also pain / sometimes staggering or tripping.

Character can't sit? Message: Your groin is still burning and in pain you don't even think about sitting. (Or something like this.

 

6.Crying if the character loosing a virginity. (She could keep weeping for a day or two sometimes.)

 

7.Bathing in Skyrim patch:

 

Sex with animals and beasts could make you dirty / cum covered.

From what I see, there is no API yet.. <daydreaming>Would be awesome though. Progress makes huge steps and once we'll have better voices, strings will may contain some 'emotion' data. Apropos would read voice settings, like tone, rate, volume and send assembled string and the settings to FRB.. </daydreaming>

Thanks for this, found it quite easy to add your lines to my database with how you have it set up.  There's a *lot* of content here, and lots of new synonyms to mix it up.  I'd recommend more people to check out your file, as a lot of work has obviously gone into it and the way it is presented makes it much easier to add to an existing database without trying to copy/paste between two different sets of text files with the same name.

 

Suggestion for Gooser if you don't mind the extra maintenance - it might help files like this get more visibility if you could repost them in the OP, as I'm sure nobody will be checking page 43 of this thread once it rolls over to page 44 .
