Apropos - Feature Request and Descriptions Submission

It would be great to incorporate this: http://www.loverslab...and-defloration


It's a virginity/defloration mod that shows blood.


 


It seems like a waste to just have it occur once, though.  It would seem to me that it would be ideal in the following cases:


- Loss of virginity


- Large insertions (Compare size to pliancy)


- High arousal would lower chances of it occurring, low arousal would increase chances... I've said before that I think arousal should be taken into account in the W&T system generally, not sure that it is already


- Random chance of it occurring in case of nonconsent


 


Adding text to Apropos that indicates that it has occurred ("Blood begins to trickle down your leg") or something would be good too.

I'd love a way to turn off the cheesy extra stuff and be left with the bare bones of what's actually happening. Raping an npc's and having the game say they got off on it has completely ruined many encounters. It seems like so much of the writing has been done with the porno idea that it's better for everyone to be whores, and banging=pleasure etc, that it would be better to just have basic stuff. At the moment a lot of the rape dialog just seems like domination, not to mention the immersion breaking way it tends to bring up boyfriends, fathers and other odd social conventions, which almost never fit into the situation, whether it's rape or consent.

 

I just want to be able to enjoy the solidification of having words, without the cheesy and often delusional sounding parts. If it's possible to do this already, i apologize and would love to know how. My dragonborn is not crazy in the way that would let them believe all the nonsense his mod spouts off. I mean sometimes it's fine, but having every rape victim get off on it or characters whose families are long dead bring up their fathers..it's just weird.

 

If there is a less fantasy, porno or more realistic/dark version, i would be alot happier. The words just improve the conveyance of what's happening so much in a lacking animation system which cannot handle the complexities of emotion and more subtle physical behaviours that i won't stop using it even with the cheesy stuff. I just prefer to play a more immersive and realistic skyrim, which the current text fails to truly convey. Like i said, its porno dialogue which is by nature less realistic than dragons and guards attacking you mid dragon fight.

There is totally a way to do this.... it is called editing the database to remove the lines/words you don't like, or just redoing all the lines from scratch to suit what you want the mod to present.  There's nothing stopping people from making a "matter of fact/immersive" database that has no erotica style lines.

 

As for how to - read the last few pages of the thread and you'll see people have been sharing their databases and snippets of databases for others to use, you'd just need to follow their example.

Pretty much this, but I'm sympathetic to those who kind of just want it to exist without doing the work: The writing for it takes more time than it looks, and its actually not easy to get it in good quality.

 

I'm pretty much working on my non-consensual files with that very thought in mind, for that very reason.  I want to help out other people. Bit busy, thus a delay in updates but I can crank out some specific animations if anyone is requesting.

If you only need a statement on what is happening, technically you need a lot less lines than the typical database. All you need is one variation per sex type, or even less depending on what you are into and then copy, and then paste it for other situations.

I think if there was a list of animations, a bat script or powershell script or something could make all the folders and fill them in.

Couple of quick thoughts that may help:

 

1) There’s a tab in a workbook I posted which lists a number of animations, their registration name and description. Doesn’t cover everything but could be a start. There’s a column “unique” which means that I deemed it necessary to use language in the animation which differed from the “standard” descriptions. I built this list by spending a bit of time watching animations in game and creating the descriptions. I only included the animations that I was interested in and that Apropos will support, so there are some gaps. Apropos can be set to provide output to the console so you can read the registration name as the animation starts by pressing the [~] key. Keep the workbook open while you do this and you can switch back and forth and add your data.

 

2) I divided animations into vaginal, anal, oral and other. Then subdivided by stages. Then subdivided again by actor’s position. So I have a set of text I like for each stage of “standard” vaginal sex (which I arbitrary decided was defined as actors in the missionary position) which serves as the base. I then tailored that text for vaginal sex with actors in various different positions. The degree of tailoring required depended on the amount of language in the given sentence that referred to the position of the actors. I consulted the list of animation descriptions referenced above and built out a complete set of text for each subsubcategory of animation. Once I had this built it was easy to then read the animation description and copy and paste suitable text. If, as mentioned, the intent is to have neutral language that mostly describes the animation, this should be quick. I spent some time working on the initial base text descriptions so that I would have enough content that I liked before tailoring it.

 

3) A synonym heavy sentence structure can be easily adopted to different tones by changing the values of the synonym.txt fields. Example:

"{PRIMARY} {MEEKLY} {ACCEPTS} {ACTIVE}'s {HUGE} {COCK} into her {PUSSY}, just like {MFAMILY} taught her."

Let’s say you don’t like the tone of the sentence that comes out using the values in my synonym.txt file. If you could change the values in the synonym.txt file for {MEEKLY}, {ACCEPTS} and {MFAMILY} to neutral values, you will get an output that fits your desired tone. The advantage in this approach is that it is relatively more efficient to make changes to a single .txt file compared to a series of changes across many unique text files. This is not going to result in 100% satisfactory content every time but I think it gets you a 70% solution. Disadvantage, as has been pointed out, is that it is much less elegant than original tailored content. Again, this tailored approach is most successful in sentence structures that feature a lot of synonyms. Looking quickly, I’m not sure how much of what I posted will be viable. I like the idea though, it is a lot easier to make changes to one text file then to track changes across an entire database.

Thanks.  I was going to look at your spreadsheet at some point. Haven't gotten to it yet. Been playing and testing other mods, (there is a College of Winterhold NPC overhaul I found via the Amourous Adventures mod forum.. very nice. I did think about doing what you mentioned in 3) but after seeing what it makes, and what your dialogs have made, I am not sure if I want to.  Picking the right synonyms is very important, or you get some really wierd combinations. That was partially what developed into my "longer phrases" idea, where you construct fragments and then string them together, either as he says/she responds, or orders and actions, or something else similar.

Hello, Gooser and co! First off, love the mod. Really helps keep things interesting, though I have a question regarding it. Not sure if this has been brought up, but is there any work being done for this mod to work with Fill Her Up? That, or is there an inflation database, perhaps? I know that base Apropos touches on the concept, but I thought I would ask, as I use Fill Her Up, and think it would be interesting to see them work in conjunction. Just a thought.

Earlier I made post to the main Apropos thread I should have put in this thread instead... Here is it again:


Here's one thing that annoys me a bit, and also couple ideas:

From FemaleActor_Male_HandJob_Rape_Stage2.txt, 3rd Person:
(this is just an example, this problem appears in thousands of cases)

"Will the {ACTIVE} be satisfied with this? What if he wants {PRIMARY} to suck him?",

This can show up as this:
"Will the Imperial Soldier be satisfied with this? What if he wants Sonja to suck him?".

Or this:
"Will the Ulfric be satisfied with this? What if he wants Sonja to suck him?",

Article "the" shouldn't not appear in the latter case, not when {ACTIVE} is an named NPC. At the moment, the article is hardcoded into the description files, but it would be nice if we could make it dynamic.

Here's one solution:

1. Replace all entries (quickly done with batch find-replace) of "the {ACTIVE}" with "{THE_ACTIVE}"
2. Add String THE_ACTIVE_NAME_TOKEN = "{THE_ACTIVE}"
3. Change the GenerateStandardTokenMap function

In some animations like in those where the player is a male and he is having sex with a female, he is the activeActor. I'm not sure if playable races (vanilla or custom races) are flagged as unique. You could solve this by changing the above example a bit:

With small changes to the above solution we can apply this fix also for those cases where {PRIMARY} is the generic NPC. Unfortunately, we cannot quickly fix the existing descriptions as "the" should not appear every time a generic {PRIMARY} is mentioned. But this would at least provide a way for any new (or edited) descriptions to be correct. The old entries can always fixed bit by bit.

I'm not 100% sure if IsUnique() works in every case, but I think that is only good way to make a distinction between named and generic NPCs. Maybe checking if they are in the leveled actor list in which case they are not unique.

Another option to all this would be to prune the article at later stage, but you might need to change the code a lot more to have access to the actorRef. Well, maybe you could make a global variable that contains the actorRef, but I'm not sure how that would work with threading (multiple) scenes with Apropos would work, maybe make an array and couple it with an ID? Doing it this way might make sense if you have any ideas how this could be useful in other ways.

Another thing that would add to the immersion is to make masturbation and W&T descriptions more dynamic.

In some cases the actor has fantasies, but that might not reflect their sexuality: "I'm so hot, so overcome by lust... Alduin himself could present his {COCK} right now and I'd gladly take it."

An example for female actors: in DisplayFemaleActorMasturbationMessage we would check their sexual preference and pass to db.RetrieveFemaleMasturbationDescription -> db.RetrieveMasturbationDescription, in which we would add extra suffix to the full path. "male" and "female", maybe even "creature". The description files and their content for masturbation scenes would be split into 2-3 files, depending their context. Or rather, the entries would be copied and synonyms would be changed (with some minor changes to the wording) and if one doesn't feel like rewriting then you would delete the unfitting descriptions.

Sexlab already keeps track of number of sex partners (men, women, creatures) and also sexual orientation that is calculated from that (but that doesn't take creatures into consideration). These could be used to figure out what they prefer the most, but it would be cool if masturbation fantasies would revolve around the last partner (who could even be referenced by real name if unique) instead of being based on general preferences. This would also be needed for W&T improvements that I'll explain soon. Even better idea would be to do a scan which (if any) actors nearby are naked/having sex and as masturbation is triggered by high arousal, making references to those other actors would make most sense. Then new words like {PASSIVE_RACE, PASSIVE_RACES} (which could either be man/men or woman/women or {PASSIVE_NAME} for direct reference.

I noticed that Sexlab also used to keep track of sex partners: FormListAdd(PlayerRef, "SexPartners", ActorRef, false). It's still present for the 1.59c but it's been commented out in 1.60. Also, that only applied for player characters.

As we already have OrgasmStart we cound add to there a call to new function (or just put the code in DisplayOrgasmStartMessage) and keep track who the actors has had sex with, we don't need to keep a whole history, so just saving the lastPartner would be enough. It could be ActorRef (which has more uses) or partner type (men, women, creature). For masturbation we would have one entry that would only update when the actor has consensual sex. For W&T another record would be kept which would update on both consensual and victim/rape scenes.

Now, the problem with W&T is this: you'll sometimes get things of this sort: "That {COCK}... That {HUGE} {COCK} was just inside my {WTANAL} {ASS}...". If the woman just had sex with a creature or another with a strap-on, the above description is not very relevant.

This could be used in W&T descriptions to provide contextual descriptions who actually was responsible for the increased W&T. As with the proposed improvements to masturbation messages, the descriptions could be split into 2-3 alternatives, the actual lines would be copied/moved around and synonyms changed with minor edits if needed.

I'd love a way to turn off the cheesy extra stuff and be left with the bare bones of what's actually happening. Raping an npc's and having the game say they got off on it has completely ruined many encounters. It seems like so much of the writing has been done with the porno idea that it's better for everyone to be whores, and banging=pleasure etc, that it would be better to just have basic stuff. At the moment a lot of the rape dialog just seems like domination, not to mention the immersion breaking way it tends to bring up boyfriends, fathers and other odd social conventions, which almost never fit into the situation, whether it's rape or consent.

 

I just want to be able to enjoy the solidification of having words, without the cheesy and often delusional sounding parts. If it's possible to do this already, i apologize and would love to know how. My dragonborn is not crazy in the way that would let them believe all the nonsense his mod spouts off. I mean sometimes it's fine, but having every rape victim get off on it or characters whose families are long dead bring up their fathers..it's just weird.

 

If there is a less fantasy, porno or more realistic/dark version, i would be alot happier. The words just improve the conveyance of what's happening so much in a lacking animation system which cannot handle the complexities of emotion and more subtle physical behaviours that i won't stop using it even with the cheesy stuff. I just prefer to play a more immersive and realistic skyrim, which the current text fails to truly convey. Like i said, its porno dialogue which is by nature less realistic than dragons and guards attacking you mid dragon fight.

I tottaly support this. I was thinking about removing appropos coz messages are to often just inapropriate to the scene and turns out every woman is a whore who is doing it 50 times per day with whatever can be sticked inside her.

Yes, as has been said many times in this thread, if you do not like the messages in the various DBs posted here, you can always go in and delete the messages you don't like. and as an added bonus, you can ever replace them with ones you write yourself to make them absolutely PERFECT for your tastes. This is the most customizable mod EVER, it just takes a little effort on your part. otherwise, you are just going to have to live with messages that OTHER people think are perfect for their tastes. If the DB authors took out EVERY message some one didn't like, we would have a 3 line DB and very boring and useless mod. DO like the other DB authors have done, open up the files and let your imagination run wild. I have Fully customized my DB to my exact tastes, you can too!

I am not sure why either of you have this mod then, if all you want is a description of what you can see.

 

If you want basic dialog, I have to ask which other databases you have downloaded.  Here is majority of the content from the Male actor, female victim, vaginal, rape first stage file (there was a lot more of the 3rd person category). You can open any of these with Notepad and delete out any of the lines you do not want.

 

If you do not know how to find the files, or how to name them, or how find the ones you do not like by name... ask that.

Those options are obsolete in the latest version of Apropos. What version are you using?
