I personally don't know why anyone would want cbbe.  The textures are flat and most people don't want to have to deal with crazy body slider programs just to have a decent looking body.  The base cbbe breasts sag too low for me.  I would also like to point out that this is a video game and not everyone is looking for realism.  Some of us are sick of the real world and would like to live in a fantasy land where all of the women have large perky breasts (sevenbase). Nothing wrong with that as long as they aren't slamming you for wanting a more "realistic" (in a video game... LOL) body.  As far as realism, the UNP body is a little too real for me.  I hope I didn't come off as rude or anything.  I truly respect your opinion and I hope you are enjoying your CBBE as much as I enjoy my 7base and UNP.  It all comes down to personal taste and what you want out of the fantasy land that has been created for all of us to enjoy in our own way.

And CBBE/Bodyslide requires too much fiddling. Why get Bodyslide and tweak it to make it look like a crappy UNP/7b when you can just get a high quality UNP/7b ?

 

I think at this point every popular body has the same amount of support/content, I can't imagine any "deal breaker" (as in you would ditch your current body to have it) armor/clothes staying exclusive to one body for more than a month. So it's really just quality and shape. 7b really is sexy, wish we could have it in bodyslide.

I started off with UNP and switched to 7B half way through that play through. 7B is like a fitness model body and resembles Caitlin Rice, who basically has the best body, you're welcome. I now use CBBE bodyslide only because of ChronoTriggers amazing armors. I can see the lower poly count around the shoulders, boobs and ass.

CBBE has normals issues in the body mesh that cause seems (butt lines, etc) when not using high textures. Tried to fix it, but that's not so easy as a noob (I can fix it in 3dsMax with a script I downloaded, but the fix doesn't show up in the game ). Therefore I use UNP and it's variants, until I can somehow fix it, then I'll just use whatever looks nice in terms of outfits.

I liked CBBE more, because it looked a little more natural. The proportions on CBBE are like perfect, nothings too big or too small. The breasts look natural and the nipples don't look out of place like most of the bodies out there. Sadly, I switched to UNPB because it's hard to find CBBE versions of alot of the armors I'm finding here.

I tried some of the body mods...and below I'll give small simple summaries of my experiences.

 

In order of install and use. (once I figured out what I was doing)

 

UNP/B : both of these body types are wonderful, lots of support (mainly unp, not so much unpb), simple install, very few mods required to make them run as you like.

 

CBBE : Fuck me sideways....the most frustrating two weeks of modding I ever had. Not only is there like 20 different versions of this, but the instructions are so over complicated that even after finally getting it working, and getting armor mods on it, it took one or two mods to break it again. ALSO I'd like to note all the skin textures are VERY low grade, even the 'hd' skins, not only that but elbows and knees really bent weird all the time making armors look off, uninstalled and never going through that horrendous install and debug process again, period.

 

Sevenbase (and it's variants, I use bombshell) : My current and favorite, no odd bending unless you really do something weird (as with any body) , high detailed textures, massive support (shoutout to Shocky, we love you) . Install (like unp/b) is super simple, one body, a skin, done, no fiddling, no crazy required files like cbbe, just short and simple.

 

TBD (touched by diabella) : relatively new body, very much the same quality as a unp/b or sevenbase body, got some good textures as a base install, support is slowly rising, but I'll stick to my 7b until this gets more armors made/converted, then I may go back and check it out again. Install is again, very simple.

 

In the end, yes CBBE (And it's gajillion variants), has more support and has been around longer, BUT it's older, and hasn't been refined as much as unpb, 7b, and tbd have. If CBBE found a way to increase it's vertices, smooth out the install process, and get some really high quality textures going for it, I might go back to it, but right now, CBBE is a hobbling mess to me.

Been a long time UNP user, I generally prefer its slim frame and as people already mentioned its bit higher quality in terms of polys/verts, but Bodyslide coupled with EBD and Lootification really added variety to my playthroughs... cant imagine going back to regular body replacers now with everybody looking the same. That being said, I have high hopes for blabba's Citrus, should combine the "best of both worlds" in this regard

I personaly like the CBBE version much better, but I could never get the jigglly parts to work right on CBBE with out a lot of trouble. UNPB was just easier to set up with full fuctionality, at least it was that way for me.

 

  CBBE was able to take full advantage of the HGEC model's ( Which Oblivion Modeler's spent a lot of years Prefecting), and of course it looks better, and is a much more fantasy type body, and much more ViVatious looking to me.

 

   I did use the CBBE until I started using SexLab, and then I found that over all the UNPB gave me less trouble's.

 

  But thats just My take on it, Probablly you all have other thoughts.

I want to use UNP but for some reason no texture I try ever works correctly. I always end up with these freakish/shriveled looking hands. Not to mention that FULL Vanilla Armor/Clothing replacers for UNP/UNPB are nearly impossible to find.

 

One replacer keeps me with CBBE and that's Chrono's amazing Remodeled Armor for CBBE, it covers every armor and clothing including that of the DLC's and looks amazing as well. Also I've never had such texture issues with CBBE.

 

The freak hands issue is really the only thing keeping me from UNP. I fixed my neck seam with TexBlend but I cannot fix the hands. x.x

Ive tried: ADEC, UNP, UNBP, CBBE and now doing 7Base

Adec: Love the curves of that body but to little support for it.

UNP/UNBP: All over great but im a boob man so I had to let that one go.

CBBE: To much work and so easy to break. But when you get it working its great but im never going back to it.

7Base: My personal favorite. Its like UNP only with better curves and bumps. Everything just look great with this body.

But to answer youre question: People like diffrent things and that is exactly what these body mods are, diffrent from each other.

Im just wondering because there is so much more sexy amrors and sexy stuff for UNP and Sevenbase.

 

CBBE has so much customization, you can adjust any part of the body you like, you can raise the boobs lower the boobs, move the nipples closer or farther apart, you can raise or lower them, you can change how fat they are all in 1 body slider.

 

Now UNP and Sevenbase have different options but not nearly as customizable, even tho the diff versions have diff boob sizes they still are the exact same shape... Yet they have way more support as far as people making armors, bikinis ect...

 

Sevenbase looks really good but am I the only one that thinks the nipples are to high and to close together? Just not natural looking. Even if it was a PB model with fake boobs still wouldn't look right lol.

If your problem is boobs, then you might not really be in any frame to appreciate anything else. CBBE is fetish; pure fetish. UNP isn't. It's really that simple. CBBE is hyper exaggerated to fit a very specific fetish type, and that's the main purpose.

 

It's like an ENB like K or Jasmin. It's got all the oohs and aahs of very SPECIFIC range of taste and aesthetics and literally no provision for anything but that. CBBE, like the above ENBs is essentially relegated for taking exaggerated screenshots, and to that end, it's fine.

 

For gameplay and actually having a set of attributes that allow both variety and an upgrade to vanilla skyrim, it's simply not up to UNP's level. The CBBE mesh is simply not made for PLAYING and being played by; skyrim. The topology is wrecked, it deforms in absolutely immersion breaking ways, and for whatever reason, the skins and normals available for it absolutely pale in comparison to UNP and 7B.

 

CBBE is also super derivative of HGEC, and has many of the same issues that HGEC still hasn't fixed after how many years now, whilst UNP is specifically designed for skyrim's rendering pipeline and standard model referencing and it especially shows in cutsom animation, armor and outfitting.

 

UNP is also more realistic, and having a nation where thousands of people look like 70s swedish porn supermodels, even the anthropomorphic ones, completely wrecks any attempt at immersion, and that's pretty much CBBE in a nutshell.

I have to totally disagree 27. I did need to get some other mods to correct things CBBE did wrong, but it actually was the only body type that let me have smaller breast size. All the other mods have the national bust being a 36DD and that drives me insane! There is the option in CBBE to make H-cup nightmares that make my back hurt just looking at them, but the strength of CBBE is that it easily lets you tailor bodies to your tastes.

The things that bugged me most about CBBE was it's wonky nipples and meh vaginas, so I got this normal map fix (which also makes this texture work without driving me insane, but the normal map fix works with regular CBBE as well) and this improvement to ladybits. Since the problems with the lower poly-count mostly affect larger busts, I haven't bothered with finding a solution to that, I'll worry about it when I get a real gaming PC again.

I must say that is an odd choice seeing as normal unp has the smallest stock weight 0 breasts and doesn't require bodyslide to do it which means you get a wider range of armor seeing as you don't need bodyslide enabled gear.

There are several UNP variants that allow smaller breast sizes. Like base UNP (the new HDT version is my new favorite body), UNPCM, UNP Skinny, UNPetite, Venus and TopModel. Even UNPB can go down to small B cups. There are probably more.

The best part is that there are quite a few clothing and armor mods available for these thinner UNP variants. And more of the bigger sets keep getting added from time to time.

That's why I copied the Dream Girl weighting to my UNP & UNPBO body since it has similar issues. Still not optimal but definitely a lot better.

If you want thin and some armor support then maybe try UNP Top Model? There are some big armor sets for it, like Brokefoot's Mashup and others, and all the boots/gloves/jewelry/head pieces for other UNP variants works, as do nearly all the stuff for UNP Skinny, UNPetite and so on (like Hmmm....What to Wear, LDW's cool stuff here on LL and others).

At least there is more stuff for it than there is for CBBE Slim. Plus it's a higher poly body with much better available textures (the FSC Univision textures on the TM download page are excellent actually). And Top Model is ready for TBBP or HDT, even with the smaller breast sizes.
