Loogie Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I'm slow on the uptake. What practical benefits are there for NX_SetEvConversationSpeaker and NX_SetEvConversationTarget?
jaam Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I remember having a use for that a few month ago, which is when I wrote it. So when I published the fix for the arrays, I published it with it. Now why did I needed that ? Hum! Can't seem to remember...

zippy57 Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I found your problem: i use nexus mod manger for fall out new vegasDo not use NMM for FNV. Use FOMM instead.
daeri Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 warning! when i tried to download this file again (explaind here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/49318-nvse-extenderdll-keeps-disapearing/?p=1236037 ) my antivirus blocked the page because it found Gen:Variant.Graftor.207429. the dll's within the fomod also contains this threat so my av keeps blocking them. is this a real threat or is is my av simply paranoid?
nyaalich Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 If it's from the first post in this thread/page's download link, it's legit...aaaaand required.
daeri Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 If it's from the first post in this thread/page's download link, it's legit...aaaaand required. yeah, i know its required but i'm not going to install it if its a potential safety risk. the first time i downloaded it i didn't get the warning, but now my av recieved an update threat list its considering this a threat. and its not because the uploader is legit that the files can't be comprimised.
Halstrom Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 All I can say is look at how long the files been uploaded, how many people use it and if you can find any legitimate complaints of it being unsafe. Without it forget about running Sexout.
RitualClarity Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Its clean. It is a false warning. scanned by ESET and Malware bytes. Nothing there. This has been on this site for years and I just re-download a fresh copy just in case something happened and this site was hacked etc. ..what you are worried about. It is however up to you. If you don't want to use it.. you won't be able to use the rest of the mods for Sexout..

RitualClarity Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Turn it off for 5 minutes. . Then turn it back on after downloading and then if you feel the need .. scan your system to be sure that nothing is currently or recently been installed.
NineLifedKhajiit Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 When I tried to activate the mod with FOMM, it gives me an error saying "Access to the path C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp\FOMM\0\files\nvse_extenderdll is denied. The mod was not installed". When I tried to install the mod manually by extracting the fomod file, the dll files disappear after about 2 seconds and I can't use them. Help? What's causing this to happen?

What's causing this to happen? Sounds like your antivirus software is quarantining the .dll files, this is what's known as a false positive. The .dll files are safe. You will need to temporarily turn off/disable your antivirus protection, re-install the FOMOD and then add the .dll files to your antivirus as exclusions so that your antivirus when turned back on does not delete/quarantine the files and instead ignores them. The path to the .dll files is : \Fallout New Vegas\Data\NVSE\plugins either add the NVSE folder as an exclusion or the .dll files themselves.
NineLifedKhajiit Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Thank you very much, that was indeed the problem.
Bullw Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Hi! Just bout to do a reinstall of new vegas, two questions though. Any problems with latest on nvse silverlock beta version 5.0b2 ? Any probably more important should i install extender 16 or the one on previous page nvseEXv17Beta1-20150531.zip?
Halstrom Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 How can i install NX extender 16 with nmm?No idea because most of us use FOMM and avoid NMM like the plague because of bugs it has.....
RitualClarity Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 How can i install NX extender 16 with nmm? Same exact way you install all the other FMODs through NMM . How can i install NX extender 16 with nmm?No idea because most of us use FOMM and avoid NMM like the plague because of bugs it has..... I am not sure.. however Halstrom might be correct on one point. In the past NMM didn't like installing NXextender. Perhaps someone here can chime in to be sure it is or isnt' still true. If you still have problems check the spoiler and install it manually. Instructions can also be referenced or cross referenced using BruceWayne's Sexout tutorial link in my sig.
Bullw Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Love to everyone and especially this forum, but can't find info (sorry for double post). Would really like to know, for general gameplay (with sexout), should i install v16 or the v17beta? Thanks n love
RitualClarity Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 General rule with NVSEextender and NVSE itself and sexout. Use the latest and greatest unless you are told otherwise. For the most part it is backwards compatible, just some new features added to the extenders.

Bullw Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 And it looked like a blue box previous page. a dropbox link, it said merge request #4 which is why i'm asking, does that mean that the linked v17beta contains atleast 4 bugfixes? Well i'm about to install the v16 on main page. Is any one acctually using v17beta? or is it just some temp less stable test (also know as a beta).

I wouldn't use it until it has gone main stream. It will be posted when it is confirmed properly updated. Jaam even stated that it didn't go right and he was going to fix it later. Just worry about the one in the main downloads unless a mod specifically states to download a newer version.
Odessa Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 17 has a bug fix in it, I've been using it for a while. Sexout works with 16 or 17, because it dodges the bug. Use whatever you like.
