I had no problems running Skyrim aside from the occasional crash after playing for an hour or so; that I'm used to. Since trying to get some of the newer versions of Captured Dreams running, I've had CTD issues. With the earlier versions of the latest CD update, I was crashing on startup. Now, with the current version of it, I managed to play for a couple hours yesterday, then got the inevitable crash. Since that time, I can neither load any save game, nor can I successfully start a new game; using Alternate Start, I load into the cell after character creation, I see notifications that some of the mods are loading through, then I get a CTD. My load order seems to work just fine if i revert to the previous version of CD. I'm fairly sure all the really important mods are up to date, though my luck I've missed one. Here's a load order and my latest Papyrus logs. I'm guessing that its some random incompatibility or a mod out of date somewhere. I just don't know why it ran fine once and now it refuses to; never had this much trouble getting things going before. This is due to the skipmutex command in DDi which was used in the quest device equip function which bypasses the checks, I have my own in it but it seems to be ignoring those. v4.06 uses a different setup for equipping devices which will fix the issue with harnesses, for now set the preferences to metal items in the MCM menu.

The orange lines are the odd ones, I have not seen that before and may be the reason for the belt and plugs to not be equipped.

Example in smithy, the book doesn t record the end of the day and ze dra doesn t check the amount of item crafted ...but it can happen at any stage of the quest.

I often had the same problem during the house maid part. No, that script was specifically for the trigger box in the smithy that starts the timer for the day. Master should fire her building inspector. How did this get a green tag? She should have this fixed, for Alanna's sake. It has been fixed (not sure how I rotated it 5 degrees).

Well the master equipped me with a metal, dark red posture collar, and belt. I did the job and returned to her. She removed the belt but the collar stayed on. "I tried Remove Quest Devices" and its like nothing happens. No sound effect, no notification. Inventory shows the collar equipped, visual inspection of my PC shows nothing but her bare neck. I click on the collar and I am given a choice to "Put it on" or "Carry on". I use "Remove quest devices" look in inventory, Collar is in inventory UNequiped. Hit R to drop it. It drops but a duplicate gets equipped and ....................Repeat an endless amount of times. I just can not get rid of the dammed possessed thing...lol Console commands to remove item have the same effect. So the issue is not strictly a leather collar one. Tried removing it with DD-Equip, results were the same. I used markfordelete on the dropped ones and they disappeared. Would try that for the equipped one but I don't think that is possible. Though I did not try. Looked in my log and did not see anything from CDx during that time so didn't post it.

Use SQV CDxFramework and make sure the stage is set to 10, all dialogue after that requires it to be at that stage. Having some trouble starting the gardening task as manor slave looked around cant find the person mentioned. She will either be near the Manor / VIP house, the smelter or the stables, she is the only female slave outside that is not a guard.

I will remember that for next time, I went back the three hours of play and started that quest over with the preference set to any. Got a white harness. It was removed fine.

First time speaking with her or have you spoken with her before? If you have not spoken with her before, reset the framework in the MCM menu and see if that gets it started.

Check the following for me please: SQV CDxFramework what is the stage at? If it is not 10 make all your character stat adjustments then set the stage on the quest to 10 as this should bypass the initial dialogue. If that does not work do the following: Move to a location away from the shop, save the game, exit, disable the mod, start the game, save it, exit the game, enable the mod and load the last save. That should get it to reset everything and hopefully get her to recognize you properly.

I was at the "free trial" off the devices, but the belt (plus apparently there is supposed to be a plug?) did not get equipped. It was at this moment kinda weird, when the master starts talking about some belt, when I neither equipped it, nor had it in the inventory afterwards... Not sure why it would not equip, a log would help. Well, here is the papyrus log. Looks a bit messy, though. No wonder some stuff doesn't work. After she asks me if I have any questions, the conversation ends. Help? I installed all the required mods and have no conflicting ones. Use SQV CDxFramework and make sure the stage is set to 10, all dialogue after that requires it to be at that stage. How to do that? I was able to see that it was set to stage 1 but I have no idea what to do after that.

Where is the look-up failed message coming from, I didn't put that in though it may be from DDi itself. I know that DDi does not initialize until the game is quit and loaded again, not sure if that is your issue or not. Post a log if you could. I will check through the scripts, I thought it had its own equip scripts but I may be mistaken and it is using the quest device function which in the current version is a bit messy when calling specific devices, may be the issue on this. This should not be an issue on the next update as that function has changed and is a bit more user friendly as far as other scripts calling specific devices goes. I quite sure some mods have incompability issues, but couldn't figure out which. I never had issues starting new game and I have a few profiles with much more mods with heavier script load and they run just fine. So please chek the list and see it there is anything you know can cause problem, I'm getting desperate here. I may start a new profile with the bare minimum to launch CD, but after several hours of crashing yesterday, atm I don't feel the power. Thanks, M
