Veladarius Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Pain would be towards the Min / max values while humiliation would be just off the normal of 4. Basically starting at the mid point of 4 +/- 1 would be humiliation, +/- 2 would be both and +/- 3 would be pain.
greyspammer Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 The other traits are personality traits and preferences: - Sadism - if the player likes inflicting pain and such on other people - Masochism - the player likes having pain inflicted on them or being humiliated - Sexuality - how much the player likes sex - Bondage - how much the player likes being bound - Control - how much the player likes being in control of themselves and others Sounds cool. Just as a thought: What about an "orientation" trait that reflects how much a character likes same sex vs. opposite sex actions and then the mod picks the genders accordingly, where ever it makes sense to do so?

So it is indeed possible to have "much humilation" and "almost no pain" content with a single slider? What would be the masochism setting for this? Sorry, I just don't get it ...
greyspammer Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 So it is indeed possible to have "much humilation" and "almost no pain" content with a single slider? What would be the masochism setting for this? 5, if I interpret it correctly. 4 is the middle value. So having a masochism of 5 (4+1) means you're masochistic enough to like being humiliated, but not enough to like being physically punished. 6 (+2) would be you like both and 7 (+3) would be that you really need the pain and think anything less than that is for pussies.
abeman Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 perhaps like this? 1 nope nope nope, dont wanna see 2 dislikes both 3 dislikes humiliation but no pain-scenes and 4 would neutral 5 likes humiliation but no pain-scenes 6 likes both 7 all in edit. or this is pain but no humiliation?

foreveraloneguy Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 OK, something a bit odd happened. I completed cdxexpquest02, but didn't get my gear back at the end. Is there a container it's in or anything? Or is it all just gone?

Use coc CDxEmbassy01 to move to the embassy, the chest is behind the wall near the front door.

Currently the traits will be used for dialogue options and occasionally for quest options but their use will be expanded upon. All of these need to be set in the MCM menu before speaking with the Master for the first time at which point it will be set and no further changes can be done in the MCM menu. So if I set all of them to 1 how much less content will I get compared setting them all to 7?
UnEvenSteven Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 So if I set all of them to 1 how much less content will I get compared setting them all to 7? Here's hoping nothing is locked out but depending on the settings quests would be offered as a job or treated as punishment. For example, the Thalmor Embassy quest would be offered as a job to PC's with some Masochist, Sexual and Bondage tendencies whereas those with lower settings in the aforementioned attributes would be used as a severe form of punishment instead. Hopefully it'll work like that so no content is locked out just offered differently.

So far the only quest that is tied to those is the Embassy quest, it has been changed to a punishment but if you meet the requirements you may be offered to do it voluntarily. Currently dialogue is the main thing tied to them so there is no advantage to setting them all to maximum or minimum values. The primary purpose of them will be to influence what punishments are used and how quests are presented, rarely will they keep you from being able to do something at all. Elisif didn't give me whatever she's supposed to give me to take back to Master. I'm stuck with "Elisif is now wearing all the items her late husband bought for her." in the journal and can't move past that.

If by the bed try changing to first person view or enabling your controls then disabling them again. If by the table set the stage to 310 as well as possibly give yourself the signed documents (ID xx109891).

Hype for the next release intensifies.
malvic Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 Just a tiny suggestion, but the word 'sexuality' is usually a much broader term; primarily used to represent preferences rather than raw libido. Libido would be a better word I feel. I'm just splitting hairs but hey, gotta kill time somehow.

Libido would be a better word I feel. I'm just splitting hairs but hey, gotta kill time somehow. I agree that the word 'sexuality' is ambiguous in this context. Several users are going to assume the categorical definition (straight, bi, ect) rather than a ranged attribute for sexual appetite. Couldn't think of a better word, I thought there was something like "Nympo-ism" but couldn't find, and apparently the official definition for "Nympho" specifies woman. Perversion is ambiguous because it normally refers to the warping of sex preference beyond vanillia sex, not the intensity of arousal or frequency of sexual desire. Arousal is a state, not a preference.
minibw Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 "Sex drive," maybe? "Lustiness?" Libido's probably a good way to put it, honestly. Anyway, shoutout to one of my favorite mods! Looking forward to more! Having the embassy quest be redo-able is great news 'cuz that was pretty much the first non-con captivity scenarios I've played in Skyrim and I have very fond memories of it.
Veladarius Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Libido and Sex Drive both fit pretty well. The Main Embassy quest won't be repeatable but there is a follow up visit that is though it is not nearly as elaborate. I may make it repeatable at some point but it requires restructuring a number of things and creating alternate dialogue for a lot of it.
onlypoptart Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 So, I'm having some problems with the thalmor embassy quest, I don't know the quest stages and stuff very well, but I'm at the point during the quest where my character is getting the armbinder removed and is about to get on the rack in elenwen's room that has a bookcase and a table with a cheese wheel. (I didn't know what else to call it.) Elenwen's assistant says something like "on you go." But after the assistant says that, the quest freezes up, NOT my game. It says 'e' to continue, when I press e it just zooms out of first person and back into 1st person. I can't move or sheath/unsheath my weapons. I'm just wondering if there's anything in any of the settings in the MCM might cause a conflict and stop the quest at the rack. I have all of the required mods for captured dreams and all of the other mods. I'm just not sure, I'd try removing mods and trying to do the quest over again, but I'm afraid that removing some of them might corrupt or ruin my save game.

The 'Press E to continue' is not from my mod and is likely what is interrupting the scene. The scenes I built were made to pause if another tries to take control (a normal feature of scenes) so it does not just stop and break it all together. Usually once whatever interrupted has finished mine will continue but not always. If you are using any mods that can cause random things to occur (like the sex attacks from Cursed Loot and such) you should look in their MCM menu to see if they can be disabled temporarily.
gooberboy9999 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 How much stuff would you say the chaste spouse/companion npc stuff has compared to the big quests like the manor expansion?
foreveraloneguy Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 So here's something new (to me).... in cdxexpquest04, I'm at the point where I have to return to Master with Erani. I enter, tell Master I've completed the job, and my character starts walking. And walking. And walking. Just walking down the road to nowhere in particular, apparently. If I recall correctly from past playthroughs, the Master and Erani are supposed to have a conversation, then I'm told to take Erani to another NPC to have her restraints removed. Any hints on how I can end my impromptu tour of skyrim?
