My game has been extremely flaky lately, with the only changes I know of being immersive slave and "live another deviant", almost the same but not as rigorous.

I just noticed cbbe was updated from 3.2 to 3.3a

And I will certainly try the 2GB file "interesting NPC's".

That's kind of my pass/fail for cool mods,

if they make the biggie mods worse,

if they crash the game more than usual,

they're taken out.

 

Which brings me to my next question, and I hope it isn't out of turn:

Suppose a VIP modder liked a much smaller mod.

Could they, would they, ever contact the teeny mod's author and say "I want to assimilate your mod".

My eighty plus-plus mods actually support four or five huge mods.

Or would the work be too much for the biggie modder?

I think Captured dreams is one of the bestest mods,

but all mods are flawed somewhere, maybe if two or three mods worked together

(or didn't work at all)

game-flakiness would eventually go away (before you all tire of the game and move on).

CTD

Black hands (from the mod CBBE summerwear)

no flames in the mod hormones (They worked a little while ago, now they do not).

Sexlab never remembers positions. Theyre exported religiously, but sexlab seems to come up with random numbers.

 

One of the catsuits is totally invisible, and it makes the player invisible where the clothes should be.

The game has been restarted since I noticed this, but I'm guessing my textures are somehow corrupted.

I love using followers, they've saved my life a number of times. But I hate overpowered followers, Serana was one of these, out of the Dawnguard add-on. She was told to leave by me, very early on in the game. She was too active, she'd run off and kill everyone, ruining the fun of the game. I had to do the same with a follower dog that was just death on legs, as even I couldn't kill or even harm him.

 

Followers need to be leveled, and able to bleed out and crawl around, even if essential. Not invulnerable demi-gods.

 

Install Defeat, level your character past 50, then watch her get raped by ever single leveled bandit, draugr, vampire, and creature you meet.  She's grossly underpowered to be a useful meatshield and quite possibly the only character in skyrim that requires a gag with a broken lock thanks to Bethesda's fabulously annoying ambient dialogue system.

 

 

I have defeat installed, I am level 73. I have a mod installed to lessen or cut out the dialogue altogether, they rarely talk with it. My followers tend to just watch as the baddies gang rape my character, my followers AI towards the Defeat mod isn't all that good in those situations.

 

I like Uthgrit the unbeaten, at 7 foot tall and full of muscles, rapists never stood a chance. But she was leveled, and liked chopping off peoples heads. A good follower...

 

Serana mustn't be leveled then, I must have dumped her when I was at a low level... Overpowered early on, useless over level 50... I guess I'll have to get the creation kit out, and tweak her stats when I get around to playing Dawnguard again.

What happens with Cursed Loot's new quests, will one mod override the others devices or just not happen?

Quest items for Devious Devices have a keyword on them called zad_BlockGeneric which blocks the generic removal commands from Integration and signal that it is an item used in a quest. I ended up building my own commands to remove items but check for it as well so I don't remove someone else's quest items. I have been adding dialogue and such to recognize when you have these other quest items and react appropriately but the implementation has been limited so far. I am not sure how Cursed Loot will react when it runs into a quest item of mine or someone else's though.

I keep a pretty tight leash on my mods, if any are causing consistent and repeating errors I will see if it can be fixed or it is removed. Usually the biggest issue is that a mod maker will change or remove properties on scripts and if updated mid game will cause errors.

 

There have been occasions where a smaller mod was incorporated into a larger one (zenetx's gaged dialogue merging with DDi is one) the issue can be the way that they are written may make them somewhat incompatible to merge together, not everyone structures their mod the same way. Having mods that do the same thing is somewhat common, then it is which ever is better wins out in the long run. Getting multiple mods to run together can be difficult, especially if there is no framework to unify them or it isn't flexible enough to handle everything needed.

 

CTD happens with Skyrim, it is a feature at this point and the best you can do is minimize it. The game engine has been patched over so many times I doubt there is much left of the original but we are left with a leaky tub of an engine.

I am not sure what would cause the hands to be black , typically those textures are separate from the body so they would have had to do something to the armor when setting it up to cause it. If it causes the issue with everything then install a hand mesh/texture mod over top of it and replace what it put in.

The flame effect may have been changed by another mod, try moving the other down in the load order otherwise it may be a texture change.

The positions SexLab uses depends on the mod calling for the sex scene. All the positions have multiple tags and the mod calls the ones they want to use (or just let it go randomly). Skyrim's random number generator sucks though so you often get the same result.

Invisible armor or items is usually a missing mesh, a missing texture would cause the item to be a purple color

  I avoid the bedroom now, preferring to sleep in one of the cells in the basement (when I'm actually there, which isn't often).

So, um,

Can you give a quiz now so we'll know what to expect on the test?

Gave me an idea. How about making few types of slaves.

First off you would need to determine what your slave would be best suited for - via dialogue?

 

A maid - which you would have to discipline in proper way of handling chores. Could be that except of those markers you set for her there would be some other activities she would be able to start. And then you would be supposed to call her that shes doing something she not supposed to or that shes doing something wrong (like cleaning not where you ordered her to).

 

combat slave - which you would have to teach how to fight.

 

crafter - maybe by some series of quest which would turn your slave into skilled blacksmith / enchanter?

 

A display slave - which you would keep chained and restrained just for amusement. Those would have to be especially submissive and / or masochistic.

 

"steward" - slave trained to handle other slaves when you are not around. Maybe even enforce some discipline on sub player?

You could try playing the game in windowed-mode, that reduced my ctd a lot. Still got occasional freezing though. There are also mods that removes borders from window in nexus if it bothers you.

I updated to latest versione and even started a new game, but still after a week or 9 days she says its not the time.

They have their flaws but still - if you want someone that would be ordering you around / following your orders outside shop grounds / your own mansion then you need a follower / spouse that would be following you.

A good cook would make picnics for the otherwise unnecessary guards in falkreath and maybe whiterun (I cannot stand the npc's in whiterun, or riverwood).

I've noticed more and more, NPC's pretend to be casually walking towards you, and if you change direction, they do too.

Then they'll spit out the one line they've been given, about Faendal or Camilla.

  So with a picnic, they'd exhaust all their lines.

Or maybe a dragon would smoke them all (it's a dream I have).

 

I'm probably distracted by all the mods I have modifying stuff like cameras and netimmerse nodes, and weight, and colors.

One of them killed the flames in my other favorite mod, and I break-out of the game to re-order, delete mods,

and I've been wandering the earth like a good little succubus, but no joy (no flames).

I'm OCD...I like to craft.

 

And yes, I play solo...but that's because followers rarely have anything to say/do that interests me.  If they did interesting things and were qualified, I'd like them...if they did interesting things and were qualified, and I couldn't leave them, I'd love them.

Likely what ever they are suited for would be determined by their skills which could easily be discovered via dialogue. How dom/sub they are would be something else though may be determined by a few different things and some randomness or player preference.

 

The training of slaves would be handled by a "training mode" which would be a script controlled behavior where you would watch what they were doing to make sure they did what they were supposed to. Some may not like cleaning and go sit or do something else instead. If they do the correct thing then you could give them positive reinforcement (especially if last time they did the wrong thing) and doing the wrong thing you would address that with them as well. I am not sure how I am going to handle the general npc training as far as markers go yet.

I'm kind of proud of Peaches, Plus I wondered what an "ascendant" was and where they hang out.

As far as I know, no-one wears this stuff except maybe in Captured dreams.

Plus, I got back me flames!!

I encountered a bug during the scene where a guard pours water on the PC to wake her up (after the guard party where AIlus fists the PC). What happens is as the guard leaves, the door closes before he can get out. the result, he's stuck in there with me. the other guard, the one who will talk to me about Ailus will activate, but we would be stuck in a loop, he'll just keep talking to me saying the same dialog over and over.

i was able to continue by using the console to unlock the door, thus allowing the guard that's stuck in the cell with me to exit, after that i closed the door, then let the other guard talk to me again. fortunately he was no longer in the loop and the chair let me continue with the next script.

Sometimes the part of the door that blocks people from going through it 'disconnects' from the visible part, that is what keeps him from leaving quickly enough. The scene is set that he should be at a location outside the cell before the door is closed. The dialogue repeats since that is part of the same phase where the guard in the cell gets to where he is supposed to be, once he does the dialogue package ends.

well i probably not gonna use this mod again even on clean saves this mod bugs out and ctd's or you cant get some items unequipped anymore. (ctd i get in the dialogue) left of my screen gets spammend with magnitude and effect starts and that kinda things. other mods like bestial esccence works great so i think this mod is just very unstable. i think after a lot of patches and bugfixes i will try again. i added my papyrus log for you to help getting more stable. 

 

 im'sorry but i didn't to offend you or wanna make this mod look bad cuz thats not the problem.

First, fix or get rid of the mods that are causing the errors in your log before you blame mine (half the log is errors from Estrus and Actor Events). As for all the messages on events you can turn those off in the integration MCM menu. The log has nearly 0 errors from my scripts and those that are there are on properties that are not used any more.

 

Learn to read a log before blaming someone's mod for problems it doesn't cause.

though all my problems occur in the store, and with the dialogue and devices from this mod... i cant undo actor events as its needed for beatess i suppose or estrus dont know which one but i need it for a mod then you have estrus / i dont know if its estrus for skyrim or estrus chaurus also i dont know if i need estrus for skyrim if i have chaurus. i want to use the newest version of estrus chaurus which i suppose got rif of the actorevents mod. only problem is it wont work with beastess as i need dawnguard for the newest version.

Try looking here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/30871-estrus-chaurus/page-18 message 359, Actor Events isn't needed now, estrus needs to be installed but not activated.

 

If you're going to mod then you do need to keep them all up to date or you will get problems and broken games

The magnitude and effects messages might be from the HDT HighHeels mod.  Use the MCM menu for that mod and turn off the "Show Debug Info" option..

So...was thinking a bit about the upcoming follower as dominant mod...and it gave me a Devious Idea for Master, possibly after you leave a follower at the shop for a quest.

Master: "Your...friend has been talking to me about her feelings for you, slave...so...I'm going to let her control you when I'm not around to oversee you personally, and SHE will be reporting on your behavior to me. Do you have any complaint about that state of affairs?"
"MMMPH?!"
"I didn't think you would."


I second that idea... A dominant follower, from the shop, keeping you in check. Messing up your game if you don't do as she says, sort of like a living, nagging pet collar...

Telling you of stuff you have to do at the shop, when you have to get back to the shop to pose for the customer quests. Punishing you if you miss your shop deadlines, or don't do the shop quests on time.

She could enforce a pet collar on you for a day as punishment, abuse you. Call over enemies, to mess you around if she's angry. Abuse you in your sleep, you'd never know what she was doing to you in your sleep, or what she was putting on you. You'd wake up with a nasty surprise, or maybe even drugged in your sleep, awaking with a nasty disease or status ailment that only she could cure.

Maybe you'd even find a permanent tattoo on you, as you awaken... MCM on/off Maybe she'd steal all your clothes for the day, returning them the next day to you. Or attack you if you wore the wrong clothing, or items that she wanted you to wear.

'You've disappointed me today, you will spend tomorrow nude slave, or else I will punish you more...'

She'd constantly whip you, until you removed your clothes. This would attract enemies as well... Sleeping too much would incur her wrath, so no sleeping off her nude days...

She would be way to control you, to do her bidding, to do the shops bidding...

I like the idea of a bondage clad follower, very tough, but not very helpful. She'd keep you alive, but enjoy watching you get hurt... She'd cast healing spell, defensive spells, but generally stay back. She'd scare off your followers, making sure she was the only one...

' I'm going home, If you want me. ' Your real followers would say, as they turned and headed home, after being whipped by your bondage clad follower until they left your service.


If I was going to do something where the player is dominated by someone other than the Master it would likely be the player's spouse than a follower.

Truthfully though, I hate followers. Half the time when I need them they are not there and come wandering up after a big fight and are like "Did I miss anything?" or when they are there they are just getting in your way (if they use a bow I have more arrows in me from them than the enemy). I have used the Vilja follower mod, when she started complaining that I never take her anywhere I just wanted to say "The door is over there", instead I uninstalled the mod.

Getting the balance right for making the player a slave long term so you can still do things can be tricky. I want the slave framework to be somewhat adjustable so you can adjust the amount of freedom you have and how often you have to serve in the house instead of wandering around. I will make things as adjustable as I can with MCM menu settings.


I know its nothing new on the nexus but have you tried out interesting NPCs? While I do agree that most of the vanilla followers that you run into and can invite into your party are boring, incompetent, and pretty much good for nothing other than being glorified pack mules the followers from interesting NPCs are fun to have around. Though they might not ever reach the level of competence the player character reaches (I two shot revered dragons on legendary and am all but immune to damage) they do seem more competent than vanilla though that could just be my luck and/or me giving them the benefit of the doubt.

 

 

I have used that one before but removed it after a while. My problem with followers is their AI is pretty stupid most of the time, either they won't stay with me ("Ooh, shiny!" or "Ooh, bad guy!) or they don't behave properly (sometime will sneak when I do, other times not). I have made adjustments on my game's difficulty where I can have really good weapons/armor with good enchantments but still be taken down by a bandit boss in a one on one fight (this is how I want it) and this is on Expert, master level kicks my ass hard. As it is, I have not really used followers in Oblivion, FO3 or FONV except on occasion, about the only time I like them is if I have to fight a bunch of enemies at once and they can serve as a distraction for some of them.

 

 

 

 

90% of all followers in Bethesda I don't like. That being said, New Vegas has come the closest to getting me to put up with it. Those characters are just so damn interesting.

 

What I want from a follower is very limited, leave everything else to me. I want someone who can take a lot of damage who picks people up if they attack me, a ranged damage dealer who attacks the last enemy I targeted, or a support character. I almost NEVER want a melee follower. If I am melee, I almost always end up hitting them, if I'm ranged they get in my way and always run too far forward.

 

I don't like EA as a company, but in their Dragon Age games, you have a logic tree you can tell every individual character what to do in any programmed situation. Origins was such a good game.

Ive completed the Erani quest, but Ulric won't say anything but the dialogue for that quest so I can't complete the civil war quests. Is there a fix for this?

That was an issue in earlier versions but was corrected. The conditions on his dialogue make it only active while the quest at stage 130 through 150.

First of all, Veladarius, congrats for your amazing mod.

 

Now comes the complaining part... when doing the Thalmor ambassy quest, all works fine just after the 2 sex scenes with the guards on the second day. After the second sex scene, they say they will play one more time with my character, then clean her up, and nothing happens, i even waited more than one hour rl time with nothing new. Am I missing some activation, or do i have to wait even more time?

 

Can I advance the scene with some console command?

ps: i have searched the topic for any issues regarding the Thalmor ambassy quest, and i found no answer who can help me.

I don't CTD, i can walk free and explore the area, the guards seem not to notice me.

 

If you have control after the scene ends then it did not detect the end of the sex scene. These are the stages that the sex scenes start at and the stage they should go to once done, if it already that stage then use the ZAZ MCM menu to enable AI control of the player. You can check the stage with sqv cdxexpquest02

Thank you for your help. I managed to get to the end of the quest that way, but sadly, none of the scenes were playing.

So i tried to figure what was not working, and as it seemed it was something to do with the sex scene not ending as it should,  i remenbered to restart the Sexlab Framework.

I lost one of the sex scenes, but after that all the others scenes worked smoothly till the end of the quest :)

May be it can help anyone else!

Hi. I'm having difficulty with the Elisif quest. Elisif first refused to put the gear on and told me to come back in a few hours. I started walking out of the room in the back there, by the table, and she followed me and a dialogue menu popped up saying she would equip the gear but wanted to shut and lock the door first. The dialogue ended there and nothing progressed. I stayed around in the back room of castle and went through the dialogue a few times more times with her, but it was just the same looping dialogue over and over. I got frustrated and ran away out of the castle and subsequently some of the third person animations failed to run fully, such as using a tanning rack, using the cooking pot, grindstone, etc. The menu for these interactions would pop up for a couple of seconds and then disappear so I couldn't do some of the crafting.

 

I'm trying to role play this so my question is if I become thane of Solitude will I then be able to complete this quest or will I need to use console commands?

I got frustrated and ran away out of the castle and subsequently some of the third person animations failed to run fully, such as using a tanning rack, using the cooking pot, grindstone, etc. The menu for these interactions would pop up for a couple of seconds and then disappear so I couldn't do some of the crafting.
 
I'm trying to role play this so my question is if I become thane of Solitude will I then be able to complete this quest or will I need to use console commands?

 

 

The point where the dialogue ended she should have gone to the door and you would have waited a moment then collected the items on the table and moved to the bed. If you have control of your character then something interrupted it, go back to her and disable the player control in the CD MCM menu on the reset page, the scene will NOT advance so long as you still have control.
