bleeargh Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 So Serana and I were in Fellglow Keep on an unrelated quest. In the process of killing the bandit leader, Serana uses her animate corpse spell. To my dismay, I realize she has re-animated one of the couriers that you have placed in various points throughout Skyrim. The courier is now a sad little pile of ash. Will this cause problems later with the retrieval quests?

PubliusNV Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014  There was a bug a while back in the xaz Prison Overhaul mod that prevented the player from using any crafting station (the PC would start to lower him/herself to the enchanting table, for example, then would stand up again). Is this the same kind of problem? I think xaz said it had to do with a script attached to the PC (but I might not be remembering correctly). Have you talked to xaz about it?  The issue with prison overhaul was the Bounty Hunter, they were set to do a force greet on the player but if it started but never completed then Skyrim thought it was still trying and interrupting the animations as it though the player was being talked to. As for scripts attached to the player, I don't do any of them. All the animations and such that I do are through the scenes where a lot of others use scripts. I am thinking it has to do with the force greets, scenes and the way they move to the next stage of a quest. I am trying something so the last stage of the scene is not a force greet as it is now, among a number of other things.   You're the modder and I'm not, I'm just trying to help. The bug did have to do with the Bounty Hunter. In my case the bounty hunter force greeted my PC, they fought, and she killed him. After that she was unable to do any crafting. So to me, as a user, it looked as if the force greet had completed. Maybe not, I don't know how that works. laz0r Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Maybe someone else has had this problem, but when you fail the delivery quest and are punished, the person who is supposed to whip you takes out the whip and then sheaths it right after he takes it out. Then the Master and the dude just stare at you indefinitely. Â Is there any way around this?

Wen the event starts and pc shode be taken over by scrips and moved into position sonthing buggs. The char instead starts walking out of the house then folows the road to a fortress gows inside moves true it then exits and eventualy stops in the midel of the outpost . Its really weird o and the movement looks more like exploring because it sometimes wanders of the road only to after a short time return to the road and continue to the destination If you know any of the mods that mith be the culprit chode you say so i can test to see if i can fix ?

The changes I made to the assistants package stopped it from happening so once it is fixed it should stop for you. I have a number of changes to the end of the quest so that the force greet is not the last AI Package to be done by the Master and I am completely stopping and restarting the quest. Also, sometimes during the scene with Tavish if you try to hurry the dialogue along it will react as if you had not made the choice you wanted.   I had found some other issues with the end of the quest, specifically with the removal and replacement of the items for high debt. Once this is sorted out I will release it, most likely sometime today.

The only thing I can't seem to get working is the punishment scene that activates when you fail to complete the delivery quest.Â

Once this is sorted out I will release it, most likely sometime today.   Good, because I'm now stuck in CD custom bra and leg cuffs and nothing works to get rid of them.  I also noticed something strange about my inventory. If I check via console with "inv", it sez I have things that I do not (Mammoth snout, e.g.) Looking at inventory normally I do not see mammoth snout, but it shows me having 100 chastity keys and restraints keys each. Actually I should have only 1 or 2 of each.  Finally, these devices are stacking, as in wearing 2 plugs simultaneously for the same slot.  Â

I'd give it a try and not touch the mouse, but i don't have a save that i could do that with right now, unfortunately.

There are probably other places where they have not been put in place yet either.   It was just an advice for your programming skills. If you make a function for something, use it all the time. In case that anything in the API changes you have to change it at one location and not in 50 different classes/scripts   1- I don't know what is interrupting the scene for the punishment or any of the others, I can run through them repeatedly with no issues. The scenes are set that if something interrupts them once it is done the scene should continue but if whatever interrupts it stops then everything stops. If I could set the scenes so no others could interrupt I would.  Just wanted you to know that if I do not turn my camera the scene always succeeds. In case I do, I end up stuck like other people here in the forum

Â Â I have seen npc's do similar things where they are walking down the road then wander off for a bit then come back to the road, I think it is either Inconsequential NPC or there is another one that adds npc's that travel the roads. Â Something you may want to try is move Captured Dreams as far down in the load order as you can.

Â The scene plays out inside the shop, there's no chance of a random wolf attack or anything else external, there's just what's in the shop. Â I think Kain1978 may be right that it's moving the camera that does it. If he can reproduce this, and it allways works if he doesen't move the mouse, and always fails if he does, then thats a solid lead atleast.

There are several other functions I want to make to hopefully make some other things a bit easier.  It is odd that the camera movement would interrupt the scene, I usually move the camera around on that scene since my view is usually from behind so I turn it around. I wonder if it is related to the force greet issue since this punishment has been in place for some time and has not been changed.  Edit: Can you upload a papyrus log?

Honestly i don't think the problem is captured dreams I think it others mods interfering with it and or people not having all of the correct versions of the requirements.
