Curse of Life - Alternate Pregnancy Mod

I'm struggling to understand how this mod is supposed to work.

• What is the difference between a curse and a blessing?
• How are curses and blessings supposed to be obtained?
• Does every curse/blessing result in being impregnated with eggs?
• How many eggs can you be impregnated with at once?
• Can you be impregnated with different eggs at the same time?

As a mod author I can't support Curse of Life in my own mods if I have zero understanding of how it's supposed to work, and I can't spend a bunch of time "figuring out" the mod in-game just to get those answers. If I was just a mod USER I would be willing to experiment with it, but I simply don't have the time as it stands.

 

I would greatly appreciate having these questions answered so that I may support CoL in SLSF Reloaded and Mammaries And Lactation.

• Curses come from enemies, blessings come from gods/daedra and replace any curses you currently have, and prevent any further curses until you birth the blessed eggs you currently have.
• Curses can be obtained through sex, attacks, picking up vanilla spider or charus eggs, or absorbing dragon souls (most of this is configurable in the MCM). Blessings come from praying at shrines or consuming the eggs and milk the mod creates. If you get a blessing while cursed, all curse eggs and transformed into blessing eggs.
• Yes
• I don't know if there's actually a limit. Birth happens when you're either full (configurable in the MCM) or if you're not full, when all eggs in you are ready.
• You can have multiple kinds of curse eggs at once, but not at the same time you have blessing eggs.

I've been using MAL (which I like a lot) instead of CoL for a bit now, so I appreciate your willingness to look into supporting this mod. I think it would be fun to be able to use it again without it interfering. Hopefully this information was helpful.

What about CoL interferes with MAL? Does CoL have lactation mechanics or something?

It does, both lactation and breast growth. While cursed or blessed you will produce milk, which are mostly food or potions. There are a few varieties which can bless or curse you, clear out blessings and curses, and some other effects too, I think.

 

Technically you could use both CoL and MAL at the same time but I think the overall effect would feel kind of weird, so I haven't tried it.

Then I'm not supporting this mod. I'm not supporting SGO with MAL for similar reasons. I'm not going to deal with people complaining about morph fighting or lactation overlap. Too many people get confused from basic instructions anymore, so something "complicated" like overlapping features is going to be too much of a headache for me. Sorry.

Anyone figured out yet what causes milk from this mod to be generated every 10 seconds? As far as I'm concerned, the only other milk mod I have is MME...
Even adjusting the sliders in the MCM didn't change this, and changing the ingame speed also doesn't affect the spawning. Its a consistent 10 seconds irl between every time milk gets generated.

Only thing I've found that causes something like that is setting the "Max Milk Size" slider in the "Sliders" menu too low.

This is my first time playing with this mod so I'm sorry if what i'm about to describe is able to be fixed through some MCM thing I'm not aware of or something.

 

I got hit by the Vampire disease pretty early on so I went to the nearest shrine to cure it which was a shrine of Dibella outside of the abandoned prison, and now I constantly get these "Your blessing pulses, filling you with cum" messages or something like that, which force my character into an uninterruptible 15-20 second animation every like 5 or so minutes.

 

I was wondering if there was a way to turn down the frequency/disable that feature in some way?

If this doesn't end up being from this mod then I apologize, but it'd make the most sense to me rn.

i hope one day there is a way so i can like give the blessings to npcs not cures like i tried to get a npc to eat blessed egg of mara and nothing happened

i also thought something cool is when you sleep there is a chance that sanguine will cum inside you and start the process and you wake up covered in his seed

No, you're pretty much stuck with that until Dibella's blessing wears off, although you can replace it with another god's blessing.

Yeah, Dibella's is the only one that interrupts you like that.

I get it.  Most of the issues people have with mine are from me trying to support other mods.  For what it's worth, this one does not start with breast growth enabled and milk can be completely turned off.  Also, there's an API in the source for how to integrate it without dependency and how to use it.

So, the mod itself isn't actually causing that.  It's that you have Devious Devices and the plugs are making you orgasm when Dibella gives you attention.  I would look at tweaking the animation and arousal settings possibly in those mods to make that less intrusive.

Make sure your milk size isn't set very low on the sliders tab or that your milk speed isn't set high on the first tab.  It shouldn't be happening anywhere near that fast on default settings.

How would I do this? Just set the Milk Rate Multiplier to 0? I feel like I tried that and still ended up getting milk.

Yep, just multiplier to zero should turn it off completely.  If it doesn't work, please send me your papyrus logs and I'll try to help you figure it out.  There's instructions on how to do that in the FAQ on the mod page.

The milk system seems to be broken. If you set the speed multiplier to 0, the mod goes crazy and starts spamming bottles

Having a few issues. I am very much enjoying this mod and everything seems to be working as intended. However, I haven't the slightest idea how to get the prayer book even after reading the everything in the FAQ. Also, neither blessed nor cursed eggs spawn in my game. I've downloaded all of the hard requirements. I even checked off the options for attacks and vanilla eggs to be able to curse my character, but no matter how many times I encounter specific enemies/ egg sacs, my character does not get cursed/ blessed. So far the only way she has become pregnant is by absorbing dragon souls.

You get the prayer book by activating a vanilla shrine.

 

Blessed/Cursed eggs are birthed by the PC, they don't appear randomly in the game. 

 

You can increase the chance of pregnancy from sex and combat in the MCM, just raise it up from x1.0 to like x2.0 or more.

Gotcha! I'll increase those odds for sure. I have prayed at multiple shrines but haven't gotten the prayer book. Let me ask, does it matter if I'm playing on survival mode?
