No matter how many times I disable the player controls, they get re-enabled. You can test this by equipping a heavy bondage device then going into the console and typing ‘dpc’ and wait a few seconds and the player controls will get re-enabled.

Tried it, but mine don't seem to re-enable - so I can't reproduce 🫠

Any chance that you will update priority on devious animations for OAR?

They are area of 2100000606, but need to be in area of 2130000606 (Modesty et.c. is in the ball park of 2120000000)

 

Tried to change the priority in GUI, but unfortunately I can only use the -+ buttons if I am to be able to save it for some reason. 😕

If this is about compatibility with Modesty, you are much better off setting up a _KID ini for DD to not trigger the modesty animations.

 It is not just modesty, but also female idles and none combat idles.

 

I assume I could disable them, but that is kind of against the reason I installed them in the first place.

Then I'd suggest disabling just the DD-specific idles?

There's already a system in place that carries the arm offsets for applicable restraints over to whatever idle animation is playing.

-This photo helped a lot. Ebonite and leather show the old style cuffs. Transparent boots are correct in outfit studio and in game. In the game menu the image is correct but the character gets the old style boots equipped instead. 

-I was thinking it was something wrong in DDNG - 3BA.osp file, but switching back to 4.0 has the same issues of the wrong boots except for transparent.

Hi, prisoner chains are invisible

 

I built it from bodyslide and then I runned Nemesis

Make sure it is not the device hider. The body slot comes by default hiding the bra. The boxbinder takes the body slot, so it would hide the bra.

It's almost always because it hasn't been built in Bodyslide.

 

What body are you using? Different bodies ship with different Bodyslide sets with different structures, maybe the chains are missing, in a different group or named differently from other items from DD.

 

There are, AFAIK, different sets for the chains. One with physics and one without, have you tried building both?

 

What else have to tried or might help troubleshoot the problem?

Agreed. No idea what changed from LE to AE, but prisoner chains just don't work - I try to live with it and don't use them. (Devious Curses has an exclusion list)

Yes, there are 4 options in BS, 3BA and CBBE, with and w/o physice - none ever showed up ingame.

Technically there should be 6 options. I'm in the process of switching to 3BA, and the one called "Devious Devices NG - SMP Prisoner Chains Full Set CBBE 3BA" works for me.

 

Pretty sure both BHUNP and UBE also worked when I was using them, but not 100% sure.

Bearing in mind that the chain portion of prisoner's chains in AE has been bugged since it first got ported over.... the following is a shot of iron prisoner's chains with the bodyslide outfit that was used to make it:

The SMP/physics on the prisoner chains have been broken from the first ever SE release of DD. Due to it's design it clashes with the physics system SE/AE uses. A few people have tried to get it working with some gains, but it requires a change in SMP or a complete remake of the chains. So this is the best we can do with the tools we have. Changing bodytypes does not make a difference, as the issue does not lie with the bones but the actual item and it's applied physics.

 

Saving and reloading while wearing them does help with getting them working somewhat better. Running Faster-SMP also helps.

I know it's obviously something I'm doing wrong, but can't seem to figure it out.  Similar to @ArkantasTheBlackWolf95, I also immediately crash to desktop at the splash screen with NG loaded.  With just DD loaded, I get the "dll" error message, which I expect.  I know that back in the day, CTD at the splash screen usually indicated a missing master, but I have all requirements for both DD and DDNG loaded, have disabled the empty "patch" plugin, have run bodyslide and pandora after loading them.  I'm quite confident the issue is with NG, as I said the game tries to load with just DD and if I disable both, it runs fine.  If anyone could point me in the right direction to further troubleshoot this, I would be very grateful.

Install the Crashlogger, look at the crashlog it generates - if you can't figure out the reason, then upload it here so someone might have an idea. 🙂

If you are upgrading a previously installed DD NG <...> start a new game!

doesn't give enough of a warning - yes, new game is required.

 

3BA bodyslides from 0.3 can be found in the archived 0.3.7 version, which is still available for a download until the new version comes out. 

 

We can't provide any support for older versions, though.

Ok,.... obviously way out of my depth here.  Is there a primer or some other resource to learn how to interpret the gibberish (to me) captured in the log, or are there specific terms / keywords / whatevers I should be looking for to indicate potential issues?  The only thing that stands out is the first couple lines:

Hi, thanks for responding, i understand why you ask but i have done all the usual stuff i have been thru bodyslide many times i have started new games i have pretty much given up trying to fix it. Just so we are clear, when a mod puts my pc in iron prisoner chains she assume the correct stance for the restaints she is wearing but not one part of the chains show up visibly. So i'll just keep watching this topic and see what happens. Thanks to all who commented on this.

I'm not getting the contraption menu when I get stuck in a contraption, so I have no way to escape.  I do get the escape menu when I'm stuck in an ordinary device and everything works as expected.  Is there something I need to do to bring up the contraption menu?  I'm testing with the contraptions in the Whip and Chain Inn, in case that makes a difference.
