Tobitooo Posted June 23, 2025 Posted June 23, 2025 i had an issue where every other animation but a certain armbinder animation in the "another life" paired with "deviously cursed loot" start would work, then after some mod downloading and deleting im stuck in a t-pose yet the previous problem is fixed. im so confused :{

I tested the contraptions in DCL's inn and I could not reproduce your issue, so I'm going to need more info. The contraption menu should come up if you press the interact button while locked in it. If you are certain DD is properly initialized (i.e. you've loaded the game at least once on that save) and you can reproduce the issue (preferably on a contraption spawned from DD's own contraption kits, not another mods' placed version), turn on debug logging in DD's menu and post papyrus logs of a play session where you encountered the issue, then I can take a look.

There's some warning and errors, but they're harmless ones and also appear in my logs. Nothing jumps out at me in the load order either. Let's see... the "put" noise suggests that at least the game is registering an activation. It's just not pulling up the menu. We can rule out that it's somehow placing the messagebox off-screen or something, because you said ordinary devices work fine. It's not a scripted contraption, or you'd at least get the "This device cannot be interacted with." notification. The logs don't show any script errors, so it must be exiting the script silently somewhere. But I can't see any place it could do so after the activate, at least not without giving some kind of clue... Okay, that took some digging, but I think I know what's going on. Let me guess: you're playing with a controller? If so, apparently the script is only detecting the keyboard activate key, not the controller one. Try pressing the activate key on your keyboard, let me know if that works. 2

Well, the message box asks you to check the logfiles - what do they say? What other mods fiddling with DDs do you have installed? As you're using Vortex - one of its most common bugs is not to enable all esp's when a mod has multiple ones. This mod comes with four, and you need all of them. Be sure that you don't have older versions installed (some mods still ask for DD integration 4.1 or similar - don't even think of installing that old sh*t, it's all included and backward compatible) Also make sure you have DD 5.2 SE installed, this mod relies on that, even though the dll doesn't match.

I've been having this problem for a while now with DD NG (I also use Vortex). Things are working ok, then every now and then I update some mods on Nexus that are not related to DD/DDNG and blam! No MCM for DDNG anymore, even on a new game. Once I start a game, I can go into the console and see that DDNG has indexed the DD related mods, so there is something active for DDNG. But no MCM for that and it prevents other things loading properly sucy as Defeat, Cursed Loot and Devious Followers. All I have found works is reinstall DDNG, start a new game and if it doesn't work, repeat this until it does. I have even done brand new complete installs and sometimes still have trouble with the MCM. Any other ideas what is up? Update: Although I was setting DDNG to load after DD SE, I spotted that in the in plugin list, Vortex was reverting back to to the DD SE versions of the following plugins. I un-installed, DDNG, deleted the plugins, then installed DDNG so Vortex only had the option to include those in the load order. Worked fine first time. The plugins (in addition to Devious Devices SE patch.esp are: Devious Devices Assets.esm Devious Devices Integration.esm Devious Devices Expansions.esm Devious Devices Contraptions.esm Edited July 2, 2025 by ebbluminous

The four Devious Devices esms after SexLabAroused.esm are the ones. From your screenshots, you have the DD NG v0.4.1 versions so all is well. If they are showing as being for DD SE, then it'll go pear shaped. Not sure why Vortex has been doing this...

What I have found that works this time is the install DDSE, delete the four esms I mentioned above, then install DDNG. I was finding that for a time Vortex shows the NG versions of the esms in the plugin ins tab, then eventually reverted to the SE ones. This method blocks that. Give that a go and see what happens.

Anyone who has followed my history here knows how long I struggled with DD. DD NG wiped away all my objections, and I'm glad that I completed the switch to DD NG despite all the work. 7

If the MCM is up and running, it's a BS problem. If your MCM doesn't load after the save-exit-resume cycle, something isn't working. Looking at your LO, there are two mods that change s/th about children. (RSChildren and Honorhall) - try if disabling them helps. I don't remember if it's for plain DD or just for Cursed Loot, but Kimy has a "don't alter children" policy. I don't know how that was implemented, but it may be the brute force approach, if children records are changed, this mod won't load. This solved my issue. Specifically, for some reason, BodySlide was trying to use the Skyrim SE root folder instead of the data folder for trying to find textures. So, I just changed that to the data folder, rebuilt the assets like it says on the front page, and when I launched it, everything was working fine. 1
XSupremeFrogX Posted July 3, 2025 Posted July 3, 2025 Hello, is it intended for WristIronHDT.nif to have 32 body as partition? I tried to change it to 46 as that appears to be in the .esp but that gave me a crash when I gave it to a npc. When I give it to a npc their clothes disappear.
