Aus irgendeinem Grund versuchte BodySlide, zum Suchen von Texturen den Stammordner von Skyrim SE anstelle des Datenordners zu verwenden.
Also habe ich das einfach in den Datenordner geändert, die Assets wie auf der Startseite beschrieben neu erstellt und als ich es gestartet habe, hat alles einwandfrei funktioniert.

If you're adding the Bodyslide tool to your Skyrim image for the first time, you should follow the steps below:

- Install Bodyslide -> but DO NOT launch it

- Launch Vanilla Skyrim -> but not via SKSE... it's enough to get as far as the menu screen appears

- Quit Vanilla Skyrim -> without restarting a game or loading a save game

- Launch Bodyslide for the first time -> the correct paths are now set... you can see this from the correctly displayed textures in the preview

You can now work with Bodyslide

My game immediately crashes when I either start a new game or load a save. Checking the crash logger pulls up this as the seeming culprit, any ideas folks?

so I realised this was an OAR problem (in case anyone else runs into this issue I needed to update my VC distributables). Once I did that problem solved! Interestingly I had been using this version of OAR fine until I installed DDNG. Not sure what the cause is but it’s all resolved now! Looking forward to trying out the new improved DD!

Since the whole thing is a framework – whose mechanics other mods should/can access – this is probably NOT a good idea in the base itself.

So either you don't let your character read the books at all (your own "roll-play") – or you look for a more advanced mod -> like DCL

Originally (in DD) there was a long quest around these books with Urak – but it was dropped during the mod's development... there are now two mods that resurrect this quest.

I thought I had fixed my issue but the game only worked for a few hours (didn't crash once and all seemed fine until I saved and then tried too load the game back up after closing it), however now I get a CTD every time I try to load a saved game or start a new game. All my crash logs point to OAR but I only get the error with DD NG installed. I have included my crash log, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The physics on a lot of my devices are broken, like the anchor ring on armbinders and chains on shakles all just sit on the ground either disconnected from my character or at the end of stretched vertices, anyone know what I did wrong to make this happen?

Issue seems to be caused by Better Third Person Selection, not sure if you issue is the same as mine, but if you have it installed remove it!

I use Better Third Person Selection and Devious Devices NG without any problems.

Maybe it’s a different version? I don’t think it’s a conflict with DDNG, it seems to be an issue some people are having with BTPS where they lose some of the UI gradually and then the save won’t load (which is what I was getting). 
 

Didn’t put it together till I couldn’t interact with a missives board at all.

Can i re-install back Devious Device Equip? Because after i installed NG, the boxbinder change back to the default square form instead of the triangle form by DDe. I prefer that form instead. i remembered the instruction not to let the base eg. DDe to overwrite the DDNG, so i just wanna reconfirm first. If not, i will just remove this DDNG and use back the older until it has new device.

Hey, first of all thanks for your amazing work! 

 

Now to my problem: DD NG is working without problem for me except for contraptions. When I get into any contraption, either in the test cell or if one is triggered by a mod e.g. Devious Curses NG, I can't open the menu to struggle or otherwise interact with the contraption. My interact button functions as normal, so I can still interact with my surroundings, but I can't open the menu. I have tried to switch the interact key, switch my input device to controller and I have, to my knowledge, installed everything correctly. I will attach my papyrus log of opening the game and trying it out in the test cell and would appreciate any help in solving this issue.

Unless you've messed with your PC system time, I don't think those are the correct logs. They show 08/05/2024 as date. You may have papyrus logging turned off and found some old logs. If so, turn it on, turn of DD's debug logging in its MCM and try again.

 

As to your problem, I'm not sure. Couple things to ask: did you upgrade DD NG on an existing save? Do you have any other mods modifying the file zadcFurnitureScript.pex? We discovered recently that the contraption menu won't open on controller (fix will be in next version), but the way you've phrased your post suggests you're playing on keyboard & mouse, so that shouldn't be the issue.

Hey, thanks for the help! 

I looked in the wrong place for the logs, because they're in an extra folder. I did not install DD NG on an existing save and don't normally play on controller, I just tested it in case it worked on controller. Afaik I don't have anything modifying zadcFurnitureScript.pex, but I also wouldn't know how to verify that tbh.

If you're using Mod Organizer, use its "data" tab (two over from "plugins" which shows your esp load order) and type zadcFurnitureScript.pex in its search box. It'll show you which mod is providing that file. Useful trick to know for debugging conflicts.

 

That log is from DD NG's SKSE plugin part, and won't show papyrus errors, so try to get the actual papyrus log as well. The DD NG SKSE log does show that it can't find certain devices' script properties. That can happen when they've been modified by another mod. Another thing you can look at is whether (or which) of DD NG's ESM records are getting overwritten using TES5Edit. This is a bit much to put into one post so I'll just link you a guide, but it's a valuable tool for diagnosing mod conflicts. Check whether any other mod is overwriting DD NG's contraptions specifically (under "Devious Devices - Contraptions.esm" -> "Activators"). I think it's more likely some papyrus thing at play though, so try to get me those papyrus logs.

Thanks again. I couldn't find anything via TES5Edit and I don't use MO2 so I couldn't check that (I should probably just switch to it, but learning how to use a new mod manager is a bit much rn, so maybe another time). I did however (hopefully) finally get the logs you asked for, I did the rookie mistake of enabling logging in the .ini.txt file at first, that's why I mistakenly sent you the old logs.

So I'm building a new mod list on a new PC and DD (5.2) and DDNG (0.4.1) and in initial tests they seem to be working fine, with two exceptions:

  1. My PC's mouth does not open when a gag is equipped.
  2. When devious heels are equipped, the PC's position is adjusted - but as soon as I equip another piece of gear she sinks into the floor like she wasn't wearing heels.

I' m hoping someone could help me identify what I'm doing wrong - am I missing a setting, a patch, a prerequisite mod, or just a step in the process?

 

I have the prerequisites: OSL Aroused, BodySlide, CBBE 3BA Body, XP32MSE, MFG Fix, FSMP, Papyrus Tweaks NG, Address Library, Open Animation Replacer, Pandora.

 

Other mods that may be relevant to face expressions that I have installed: SL smooth expressions, Expressive Facial Animation, Expressive Facegen Morphs, Conditional Expressions, Conditional Expressions Extended, Mfg Fix NG,

 

Mods relevant to high heels that I have are: HeelsFix, Heels Fix - Settings Loader, Heel Sound, Conditional HH Walk, Conditional HH Sitting, Connditional HH Idles

Hello there.

 

i've followed all the instructions to the letter, and the mod works perfectly fine on the player character. Devices, contraptions, animations, sounds, etc... No issues at all. But on NPC's, only the contraptions work as intended. The worn devices themselves don't even appear when I equip them on an NPC. No devices or animations.

 

Please, if someone has encountered this issue before, let me know how to fix it. Thank you.
