For you people who started to work with the CK, is creating custom standalone NPCs possible like in Skyrim?

Amazing, that's all I needed to know, downloading.

In CK, you can do basically everything you could before: world building, quests, NPC, followers, locations, races, etc., etc., everything.

Few aspects are still unfinished (like, creating new planets and filling with new biomes is still not clear at all), but in general it's same CK as it was before, just advanced.

Yep, but there is one little issue; NPC lip sync does not currently work in the CK, so if you create an NPC in your mod that is supposed to have dialog their lips won't move when they speak. It's most likely a third-party licensing issue, where Bethesda licensed the tech for their own dev kit but not for the CK. They may be making their own version for the CK, or they may be waiting for the licensing option to get cheaper... who knows?

Mod modders have been getting around this by either forcing their characters to always wear helmets, or they make robot characters, who have no lips.

The problem is easily solved, with not being able to pick some things up in game, with going to interface Settings and turn  "Show item Information on HUD" option off.

was easy to find the solution with a google search for me.

Thank you for this info. Was stuck on a base quest where I could NOT pick up the tablet from a table.

This.

This is so lame it's almost unbelievable. Creating followers, NPCs, and other useful people is a fun thing for modders to do. I should have thought they would fix this damned quick. Even their pay-for companion mod has the problem. But Todd and co don't appear to be in a rush over it.

I've been looking into creation kit tutorials today, I put in about 200hrs at launch and decided to take a break until the kit came out but I'm surprised to see the mod scene isn't as populated as I expected two months after the creation kit came out. So I figured I'd start looking into it

Is there something about the learning curve with the new kit that's throwing people off? I know frameworks and animations are really time consuming, but are there engine issues or something I don't know about that's discouraging the seasoned modders?

edit: ahhh I just saw the creation kit hardware recommendations. That'll do it lol

A couple of things. First, the kit is pretty intimidating and the normal goto source for how to use it, the official wiki, has been down for maintenance since February. While 80-90 percent of the stuff is the same as Skyrim/Fallout4. There are differences that can be difficult for someone who never made a mod before to be thrown off as they can't 100 percent rely on the numerous tutorials that are out for Skyrim and Fallout4.

Second, I think a lot (but not all) of mod authors feed off of popularity. Starfield, for whatever reasons one wants to come up with, is simply is not as popular of a game as Skyrim or Fallout4. Hopefully that will change in the future, but for now I think its mostly the mod authors that love space stuff and sci-fi that are working on mods, and that is a much smaller group.

Third, in regard to kit computer recommendations, it will run on lower systems with 16g ram. It's just slower and less stable, especially when loading cells or editing characters.

Paid modding, aka "verified creations", killed it, sadly. "Creators" try to charge for anything slightly quality now, and Modmakers are mostly just don't bother to co-exist with this cancer.

So, it is what it is, SF scene is dead end.

P.S. I think that porn scene has it's chances though as base game resources are very good for this things, so there is probability that SF can become not the worst SFM simulator in future.

Went on vacation and we still dead as hell lmao. Might as well replace this section with BG3 already, SF is done.

Shieet didn't know you could tell the  future.

Funny enough, technically BG3 is something that is actually done, so scene, while being active now, will likely fade in a year or two.

I do not know the future but kinda weird to declare a mod scene for a game dead on a site that host a community that is still actively doing mods on games like fallout 3 and nv (both dead in terrm of development from bethesda)

It's more about whether the game is open ended/sandboxy enough to allow for new content than anything else (in which then I agree that BG3 has less potential than classic BGS formula) and how much exciting the world is (where definitely BG3 has things like starfield completely destroyed)

Heck with the pain games like Skyrim or Fallout 4 have been in  term o modding with constant updates I'd say BG3 being done is acrtully a slight positive.

Sex mods for BG3?

Maybe you should start making the mods you want yourself unless you are too old to learn now...

There's a leaked video clip showing off the land vehicles being driven around. Hopefully when the sex mods does take off and become advanced enough, we'll be able to get a bj while running over random people and creatures. 😂

There already is one, without the creation kit being released lol

I was one of the biggest delulu hopefuls. But I think Starfield needs a total overhaul, some fantastic DLC, maybe even a damn tv show to save it now lmao

You're not beating the delulu accusations if you think Starfield is dead lmao. Bethesda's whole strategy is slow burn incremental growth, you can argue they fumbled the launch (it was nowhere near as bad as people like to pretend) but they're the same company that salvaged 76 and made it into a sucess. The only way to think BG3 will outlast Starfield is if you lack patience and forgot how the last decade went. When Skyrim came out it was riddled with issues and plenty of other games were hailed as "better in every way" but how many of them do you hear from these days? Exactly. Same with Fallout 4, despite all the whining it kept going strong even before the TV show dropped.

BG3 will always be one of those games that people look back on and say "oh yeah that was a really cool game" but it will never stand the test of time like a Bethesda game because the culture around these games is just that different. You think all the finance majors doing market analysis for them are idiots? Lmao.

I'd like to see a better Ui for selecting animations. Sexlab tools was cool and all but it would only let you choose a section of animations and not a specific one that you wanted iirc. Hopefully this will have something like whicked whims where you can either select a animation by category or find animations by the animation authors name. Also bigger animation limit or unlimited amount.

hi do you have a mod list for your sims 4?

So, I dont mean to rush or anything, just trying to get a better idea of where the scene is at but, is this in the works? Or is it still in the discussion phase? If so, is there anything specific that is preventing progress?

Just need one (1) person to make a functional sex mod others can ape on and the rest will follow. It doesn't need to be super good, doesn't need to be a whole framework, and it doesn't need to be by Ashal (or anyone).

I remember this happening with Fallout 4, the sex scene was nonexistant for the longest time, until one person (Doc Clox iirc?) made something barely functional.

It could be you! (Or me)
