Min Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 No idea why that happens for a small set of you: I've never once seen that issue, nor have any of the users that beta-test releases. I've seen other users report that problem for other mods, too: Perhaps you guys are running a very out of date SkyUI installation or something? I have seen this in the past, and it appeared to be caused by another mod failing to initialize properly (due to either a bug in a quest's alias conditions, or due to an outdated SEQ file). Fixing the other mod (in my case one that depended on Devious Devices) also fixed Devious Devices. This may have been coincidence... but the problem hasn't come back since. I wonder if the affected users have any new Devious mod (besides this one) in common. I know that Veladarius runs every DD mod that's been released, with over 200 mods, without issue. I run most of the DD mods as well, naturally . No idea, I'm sure we'll find a pattern regarding that eventually, though.

And yes Iam runing the latest Sky UI 4.1 that was released in June... Well I will look into it with the log too. Thank you again. There are some mods that hit papyrus harder than others.

When I added a belt, there was a message about the horse blushing about wearing the belt. ha. There's no animation or actual visual equipping but I couldn't remove the belt from the horse's inventory because I didn't have the key. Is there something you could add that would prevent this situation? If not, I just won't have the horse carry any in the future. My only problem with this mod is that when I finished the first quest, I was so disappointed...that it was over. Thanks for such an interesting mod, whole lot of fun. I didn't mind going to Soltsheim either. I had to go to the ruin with the Skaal coat, boots and gloves and now have a nice warm and fuzzy ensemble to wear in the frigid areas.

Srende just released a Belt themed quest-mod (Devious Regulations), and Angrim's Apprentice is switching over to the belts from this mod soon as well. Then there's the new system I'm developing. Removing those seems to have fixed the MCM issue (for now). Given the dependency relationship, that's a lot more plausible than having problems with another DD mod. I did get one visible error in the log (besides the one that clued me in to the outdated SLA script), which makes me wonder if there's a race condition in MCM initialization - what happens if SLA hasn't finished initializing when DD tries? WTF? this is kind of an immersion breaking bug... 2: Im trying to have all the features the "Devious Devices" Mod(s) are offering. Right now I have: "Devious Devices - Assets v. 2.5.0 (UNP)" "Devious Devices - Ftm DB 2.0" "Devious Devices -v.2.5.5" installed. Today a new version for the "Devious Devices - For the masses -DB- Outfits v2.1" was released. Though, when installing it overwrote / disabled the "Devious Devices - Assets v. 2.5.0 (UNP)" instead of the Devious Devices - Ftm DB 2.0. The For the Masses mod should not have overwritten anything in the Assets mod as there are only 2 esp's in it: Devious Devices - For the Masses -DB- Outfits.esp and Devious Devices - FtMOutfits - merge.esp. As for everyone having a belt there is only about a 20% - 25% chance for anyone to have them. As for what they do, the Assets mod has the models and base items but they are removable (this is the base for the rest). The Integration mod (v2.5.5) adds the locking scripts and other controls for the belts. FtM adds the belts to NPC's via outfit lists and leveled lists. Right now im having "Devious Devices - Assets v. 2.5.0 (UNP)" "Devious Devices - Ftm DB 2.0" "Devious Devices -v.2.5.5" "Devious Devices - For the Masses -DB- Outfits v2-1" installed. Did I miss something? or is any of those mods redundant and can be safely deleted? Also im still getting the "bug" that almost everyone WEARS the belt. This is especially annoying for MALE NPCs who also wear both Plugs.... Thanks to the answers in this thread, at least the Message and Inventory spamming has stopped. You can remove the Devious Devices - FtM DB 2.0 as the last item on the list is the updated version. There is no easy way to get rid of the belts from people once they have them. Here is a version of the For the Masses esp's without the belts added to the outfits. As NPC's reset it should remove them. I believe the base time for them to reset is 10 days but there are ways to change it (bashed patch has a setting for it). Edit - New version of For the Masses is available that does not add belts to regular NPC (those with just clothes not armor) Out of curiosity, how long (game time) have you had the FtM running? Hard to say, must be about 1 or 2 weeks in game time now.

Veladarius Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 The only thing is see is the Better Dynamic Snow mod, typically mods that constantly make changes to the environment can be intensive. If you are still having issues go to a small indoor alone area where nothing is going on as that may lighten the load. A minor one is that the bashed patch needs to be down at the bottom of the order for it to be effective.

Nothing in this mod's initialization explicitly depends on Aroused having finished initializing. Off the top of my head, nothing references aroused until a belt is interacted with. That error happens within Sexlab's register animations feature. Interesting. I'll look through sexlab's code later tonight, and see if I can't figure out why that happened. But it was cleaning up the SLA loose scripts that seemed to fix the visible symptom (i.e. no MCM entry). Possibly that just altered the timing of the init sequence, since there's no direct cause-and-effect that I can see from the log.

After i do the entire quest line and how it gives you the 2 dialog options: "Go to Oblivion!" and "Yes...Please!" Well when i hit yes...please it removes the belt but the rest of the items are equipped and it still has the quest marker over his head. Whats wrong...HELP! Oh and if it dos do animation after "yes please" then it doesn't do it. Edit: Never mid i got it to work. But i think you should (in the next update) make a optional quest ending so that you don't have to have sex with an old wrinkly orc dude. Like so that you could either get the quest from a female NPC or just add dialog like: "Yes..Please!" (Remove belt and other accessories). (Attempts to make a move) "(kick crouch) Get away you sick bastard!" or "(Embrace the attempt)" You know something like the example above. I think a lot more people would like the quest a ton more, I know i would!

Not really sure what's going on. Sounds as if you're using for the masses. That issue is fixed by a patch I posted at http://www.loverslab.com/topic/21484-devious-devices-integration-now-with-quests-12092013/?p=596085 (Will be included with next update by default).

Eradawn Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Well got the quest working but after the quest when I enter in some buildings or houses and then going outside again I get some message that I cant wear more than one device belt and cluffs , but I didnt had any on my character after the quest. And now every time leave a building the messages appear, So I will attach the log here. The rest is working flawless... Well mostly , sometimes I have a crash marathon.
