Mastermind706 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) I spawned with console command for testing purpose and they run through them pretty easily probably because level difference. The problem is though not so so much who is doing the attacking its the fact succubus weapons effects not triggering. Edited March 23, 2023 by Mastermind706
zigster999 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) Tried doing the QoSSC attacks in game at all? Or have you just been testing? See my earlier comments about taking followers out onto the road. Edited March 23, 2023 by zigster999
Mastermind706 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) Ok a new update it seem only npc I initiate to be a succubus myself seem to benefit from the weapon effects and I have been testing but what does QOSSC mean? queen of screems not sure what SC stand for. Nevermind I understand what it mean now and yes the QoS Sex Cultist are not benefiting from weapon effect Edited March 23, 2023 by Mastermind706
zigster999 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) Hahaha talk about coincidence. Wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. Went into Brood Cavern to take out some bears, and there was an actual QoSSC (plus a DC) in there as well. One of my followers hit the one bear I had to kill for the quest, after which the QoSSC sexxed the bear to death. I assume the QoSSC had also hit the bear subsequent to my follower's strike but I was a bit far away to see. But it did happen. Anyway, from here I'm guessing that you might have a problem with your mods list, MM706. Edited March 23, 2023 by zigster999
Mastermind706 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 by the gods I got it to finally work on QoSSC the problem was its was such a extremely low chance I flat out though it did not work. I may have to completely reduce the weapons the damage because the animations for weapons I have greatly reduced the time to kill or increase the probability of the effect, so yea major nerf to weapon damage needed but thanks for sticking with me. 1

There's a bit of story weaved into Kimshin from the Kagamine Serana mod, Harkon's Lost Journal, Valerica's Lost Journal, the cultist journals, and the book Save My Queen of Screams. To understand the Kimshin stuff you'll need to look up some Korean and then deal with the very much B-movie tier of translation and voice acting. It actually super fits the theme, like you're watching a foreign movie from the 80s with a cheap dub that deserves to have been on MST3K. If you want to get the story yourself, talk to the guy in white outside Riverwood and tell him "Gazua Kimshin!" which is Korean for something like "Let's go, Kimshin!" He'll go from white outfit to black outfit and start explaining his story. The cultist journals you can easily pickpocket off a cultist, since even if they catch you the guards won't give you a bounty and the cultists don't react too negatively (they'll not let you try again if they catch you, but they won't fight you). The lost journals can be found in chests in Riverwood or the Lair of Screams or, if you can't find them, can be bought from the mod merchants. There's a barkeep in the main Lair of Screams, and there's a acolyte merchant in Dragonsreach. If you just want the story before the game starts, I'll summarize it in a spoiler below. From there, it's just a matter of taking Kimshin along to do the Dawnguard quest. Spoiler Basically before Serana was sealed into the site in Dimhallow where you find her, she had a fiance named Kimshin. Her parents convinced her to partake in some kind of sexual ritual with Molag Bal that gave her extreme powers at a sever cost to her sanity. Harkon and Valerica both have regrets that they may have gone too far by bargaining their daughter with a daedric prince, but they couldn't reverse the process if they wanted to. Harkon's more worried about Serana threatening his personal power, while Valerica is more concerned about Serana's mental and physical welfare.) Serana breaks up with Kimshin. Kimshin somehow meets Molag Bal - I think Kimshin tries to fight Molag Bal for some reason, but Kimshin doesn't like to talk about it. Kimshin doesn't actually know Molag Bal's real name though, so he calls Molag Bal a Dokkaebi, a type of Korean trickster god. Molag Bal makes Kimshin immortal and then stabs him with a giant sword to suffer for eternity, saying "find my bride to remove the sword". The bride is Serana, because that's what the ritual was in part a kind of unholy matrimony, Kimshin is a moron so he doesn't realize the bride is Serana, so he goes to a seer who tells him that he must find "the red lighted pussy". He then goes on a long journey across the world pulling down panties and looking at pussies, while also claiming to not be a pervert. Just before The Dragonborn arrives in Skyrim, Kimshin arrives to continue his quest. Molag Bal sends visions to women across Skyrim to join his cult, as he foresees that Serana, his superpowered bride, can be released by the Dragonborn. Some women become Death cultists, others become Sex cultists, and still more become sex slaves and sacrifices. They refer to Serana as the Queen of Screams and worship her more than Molag Bal. The cultists expand all over but mostly gather around the Lair of Screams in Riverwood, which is basically a little window into Molag Bal's kind of Oblivion just waiting to welcome Serana home. The Lair also has connections to many other places across Skyrim through reality-bending portal doors. Some of these places are thematic, others are simply in the way of the expanding influence of Molag Bal. When the Dragonborn arrives in Skyrim, Molag Bal contacts them directly, giving them a selection of spell tomes and a book requesting that you break his Queen of Screams out of captivity. The adventure begins... 3
Nutarama Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Also, if anyone doesn't like the cultists hanging around some areas, you have a couple options on removing them yourself before they get too involved: First, gore moves work on them and their detection is crap, so you can use sneak power attacks with a gore-enabled or decap-enabled weapon to kill them instantly. You get a gore greatsword at the beginning of the game and you can test it yourself on the cultists by Dae. Second, my preferredmethod, is to use the PAMA debug spells: use the spawn device spell in one hand to conjure up a kill device and the command spell in the other to make the cultists use it. For theming I tend to use Impalers or Gallows, but the actual fastest is to have the cultist use the spitroast preparation spot and then activate the spitted cultist to pull the skewer out, since the animations are really fast and the navigation for the cultist actors is a lot easier. Display spikes are also pretty thematic, and they tend to load in more reliably than the impaler, but they are kinda short since they're designed for tables. As a benefit, since PAMA furniture with their corpse in it keeps the corpse from being garbage collection, the cultists won't respawn if you don't remove the corpse. Third, if you have PAHE and can paralyze them or fear them (since they don't sleep and are really hard to get below the health threshold), you can get them as slaves. From there you can order them around, including into PAMA furniture without the debug spell. If you have NS working slaves, you can also send them to the mines. Or sacrifice them at the Temple of Molag Bal, or sell them at Fellglow, or just have them live in another player home if you want. Their gear has been subsidizing my playthrough for a while now, especially since higher level skill training costs are insane. I also have been able to chug all the special potions as much as I want because I have a lot of them and can always get more. There's still a few that show up in a dungeon cell and I can't get to first, but it's a lot less insane than it could be. 1

Nutarama Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 31 minutes ago, sd2336 said: Wow.. excellent plot description. Well done. ? Thanks! The journals were well written, and helped mesh everything together from the different mods really well. Personally I liked not having more of a hand-holding quest like Skyrim often does with its misc objectives. Reading the starter book feels really optional, and if you use an alternate start mod that puts you far away, you can ignore the Lair until you're ready. You might even find the cultists and Lair organically, like how you can find the Temple of Molag Bal accidentally if you're doing the Saarthal quest for the mages guild because the cave is basically between the college and the ruin. Doesn't feel contrived like how in Skyrim reading The Aetherium Wars starts a misc objective with a marker. Those quests are nice to be able to tell what's fluff and what's not, but it takes away some of the joy of discovery. Hardest part of understanding the story was trying to understand the Korean that the Kangmina mod localization doesn't translate, but I'm kinda used to having to read between the lines in dialogue and roll with machine translations. Like "Gazua" is untranslated because Google thinks it's the word for cheese, but it's also Korean slang. The Gumiho (for Dae) and Dokkaebi are mythical creatures that are hard to explain, but luckily for me the Korean myths have a lot in common with the Japanese ones I'm more familiar with. They don't translate well because of the cultural baggage, but I've seen enough anime versions of a Kitsune or Nine-Tailed Fox that a Gumiho makes sense. Dokkaebi are a little harder, but they occupy a space in folklore kind of like the Fae in Irish folklore or Djinn in Arabic folklore; They vary from chaotic to evil in nature and generally like to screw with mortals, and there's a lot of them unlike how the Norse lump all of that on Loki. It's actually a pretty good parallel for the Daedra in TES lore, since they're powerful and sometimes it can benefit a person to align with one but it's risky. On a side note I think Skyrim kinda undersold the nature of the Daedra in lore, since to the Dragonborn they're either generically helpful (like Meridia or Azura) or they're really mean and into murder (like Namira or Molag Bal). Shaogorath is mad, but he's generally harmless, and Sanguine just basically has a quest to pick up the bits of a story like it's The Hangover: those are fun, but they feel very much like they're keeping from making mean jokes at the player's expense, which is out of character for either of those Princes. I like the kind of confusion where it's laid out that you might not be the good guy but you're also not really the bad guy, and Malacath's quest (the one with the coward Orc chief and the giants) is one of the few that scratches that for me. It's the only one where I reloaded to try a different quest branch like it was Fallout: New Vegas; I needed to see what I missed. This mod and Molag Bal actually fits a neat place in that hierarchy too, because if you take it seriously the Dragonborn is 100% the bad guy for releasing Serana back into the world, but it's so fun that the Dragonborn is definitely going to do it. Serana and the spells have way more benefits to it than the Mace you get in the base game, and you never actually have to murder anyone if you don't want to, she'll just go ham on your enemies (it's less fun and gory that way imo, but it's definitely possible). 2

This! It is so great to see someone enjoying the story. I had another person on nexus state that serana's private journal was devastating and heartbreaking. With the aim of making a trashy b-horror mod, the plot is often overlooked. It is a lot of fun for me to see that it is being read and enjoyed, or at least thought about. ? Magic Group "Restoration" there are "expulsion spells" or "banishing spells" for undead or daedric creatures 1

Yes the portal will be outside riverwood. The glowing white light. From kangmina she gets lots of animations, also some dialogue options for some animations, and she can serenade you in the kangmina room. Dae gets all kinds of abilities as you progress through all three main quests.
