I guess you mean that the mod should initiate AAF/NAF scenes instead of just monitoring when other mods do that? There are no plans for it.

Did you happen to add some moaning sound effects to the new update because now when my Nora gets busy with tentacles she has a male moan, and that did not do that before I installed the new update for this?

Just no. Have you re-loaded the game to see if it's a persistant problem? Have your tried going back to an earlier save file to locate the exact moment when it started to happen?

Is this compatible with mods that change the player's race, something like Proto-Argonian or FFO?

I want to play as a reptile-like character that actually lays eggs.

I took a quick look at the Proto-Argonian and Vulpine races and they seem to have what's needed: morphs and the race record still has keyword for humans needed to make companions egg-layers. I can't say for certain without actual testing, but it looks like everything is good to go. There might be something I'm missing, of course.

I just wanted to let you know that it had to do something with the tentacles and AAF. It only happened once more and I noticed it had chosen the male icon instead of female, and I am pretty sure its related to that Perverted Perks mod where you can choose to have a perk where there is a chance tentacles will sprout out of a dead enemy. Sometime it happens so fast I don't think AAF choose the right role. Otherwise I've only had a minor issue where the notifications that used to show up after you finished labor saying something like "You're done with labor you know what to do or you might be tender for a bit" no longer showing up after labor or being shown in the recall message option. That's about it as far as anything I've experienced with the new update. I have to say this mod actually works really well with the "Commonwealth Breeders" mod because you're basically are a Breeder caused by a Zeta Alien, and that pretty much the entire mod story for Commonwealth Breeders. It's really cool how they work together.

I was trying to figure out if it was something more worrisome, but sounds like it's a temporary glitch giving the xerox copy AAF makes of Nora the wrong voice. Animated Tentacles comes with both male and female voices, so I guess that's possible. I've had a couple of fresh female Start Me Up Redux characters making male noises. Probably just too many complex mods starting up and doing things at the same time when loading into the Commonwealth for the first time and things going wrong. It happens sometimes.

 

I shortened some of the messages and removed a few silly ones, so that explains the missing messaging.

 

(I love the Breeder lore, because it doesn't make the player character a victim. I'm definitely overdue for a very long TTW run.)

Yeah its been really immersive using this mod with Boston Breeders because it helps you feel like you're part of the story, and with the Zeta aliens being responsible it really flows well with both.  Your mod also works pretty well with the Perverted Perks mod on here because of the one perk where tentacles can spawn from dead bodies gets you exposed to them more, making you lay the tentacle eggs more often.  Also really enjoying the new jelly buffs, and jelly belly stuff you can turn on especially with using the Sanguine Vampire Redux mod, Sex Attributes, Perverted Perks, and Harassment mods. The debuffs you can get pile up fast, and the new jelly buffs really help out with that so it's like survivor mode without the annoying unable to save or fast travel stuff but you can get debuffed pretty hard still making the game challenging.  Overall the new update has been pretty solid. Appreciate all the hard work, new art, and new things that where added.

Eggspansion won't start new pregnancies if a FPE or FPER pregnancy is detected. That's the extent of support/compatibility between the mods. There is no Eggspansion egg to FPE/FPER/WDF egg/offspring conversion. So, what I'm trying to say is that Eggspansion isn't really a factor when deciding which one to use. However, I'm not entirely sure that pregnancy detection works if you are using an ancient version of FPE.

Essentially I guess what I'm asking is if Eggspansion will lay live eggs (aside from the two scenarios in your original post) if FPE More Creatures or WDF are installed as well instead of the (Food)Eggs?

No, the eggs will not hatch. Eggspansion and WDF aren't connected that way. Same goes for FPE More Creatures.

Okay I see, so then since wggspansion pregnancies are blocked when and FPE pregnancy is occurring we can the essentially just treat FPE pregnancies as "viable" and eggspansion pregnancies as "non-viable" in the context of producing offspring. I'd also like to ask ate there any plans to eventually incorporate Eggspansion together with FPER and WDF so that pregnancies from creatures that lay eggs use the Eggspansion egg laying? Possibly also incorporating Boston Breeder in the future when that mod is done being fixed.

I can’t make changes to how birthing works in FPE/R. Not sure if Boston Breeder integration would make sense. BB is about Breeders. Egg-layers aren’t Breeders, but one might choose to think that they can become one or the other way around. Then we are talking about Breeders with enhanced egg-laying capabilities or egg-layers with mammal producing options depending how you want to look at it.

 

There are practical reasons to avoid hatchlings. Around hundred eggs can be produced per birthing using growth concoctions. Let’s say there was this Turbo Deluxe Incubator 3000 workshop apparatus. One of its functions would be to convert Eggspansion eggs en masse to egg items of WDF. People would break their game going crazy with offspring. Even with giant warning signs displayed all over the download page. There needs to be some sort of artificial limit.

 

Viability is a reasonable in-game explanation. Being unfertilized is another if we forget about the fact that parthenogenesis exists. In my mind, the eggs are viable. They just need special care and conditions – basically that Turbo Incubator meant for egg-layers who don’t like sitting on their arse in a nest all day.

Fair enough, awesome work though btw, mod is very good. Any potential plans on what you're thinking of adding/taking the mod to?

im having an issue with installation of this mod. not sure if it's been covered. i looked but didn't see my exact problem.

 

i have robco patcher, the address library, base object injector and baka frame work. i don't think the mod is working because there is no MCM menu to adjust the setting. can anyone help?

At the moment, the plan is to concentrate on bug fixing and do small additions and improvements. Current target is the gimmicky device. I’ve been testing PipBoyTabs mod to see if player stats could be transferred to their own Pip-Boy tab. It would be also a great place for having some species-specific descriptions and announcements from the aliens without in-game notes or other items littering the inventory, but it remains to been seen what happens.

Make sure all of the Eggspansion's files are actually unpacked in their installation folder. Mega can add files inside a zip file when downloading. It's easy to end up with a twice packed mod.

If I could recommend one thing it would be if possible adding "Tentacles" to the list of known species. Or adding an "Unknown" to the list to count eggs like the Tentacles, radiated eggs, and fish eggs you can get from swimming. Other wise everything has just been amazing, and its been incredibly fun using this mod during its evolution.
