Thanks for the update, I took a look into the Oblivion Hairs and found that some do indeed have two parts. I think the part that is clipping is the hairline, gonna try deleting and seeing what happens in game.

hey Machina there used to be another hair pack available for the elin race that included like.....5-6 different hair packs converted for the elin head......any idea what happened to it? ;w;

Thanks xheren, the glitched hairline is gone.  I tried removing the hairlines, but the hairs glitched in my game.  Now if only I new what was causing that hairline to pixelate.

I'm going to remove the Oblivian hairs from the Elin 2 hair pack.  Yes, removing the extra hairline fixes the glitch, but some of the hairs look so much better with them than without.  When I do find a fix, I'll add the Oblivian hairs.

Um. What I did was the lazy (batch) method of fixing it... I took the hex address of the extra oblivion hairline (same file present in all the hairs) and deleted it using TES5edit=> taking it out of all the hairs... If some of the hairs weren't getting messed up with the glitch and you'd prefer to keep the extra hairline in there. I can manually erase the specific association for only the glitched hairs using creation kit.

 

 On a side note, I probably should have scoped out the hairs in my game as a whole before just acting on theories I got from looking at two screenshots.

 

 Lemme know if you want me to go through it manually in any case.

yays~~ is there any way to add ear options for ECE so i can remove the humanoid ears from the side of their head? >W< honestly it looks a lil odd for an elin to have both human and animal ears when the original elin race from tera online doesn't have human ears >w< if it's not possible oh well i'll find a way to deal with that.

The hairs without the troublesome hairline looks nice, but certain hairs look like wigs or gives the appearance of a receding hairline.  I'll release the hair pack with your edit and leave it at that.

I did notice that the hairline glitch disappears when zooming out from a certain distance.

Elin 2 has ear options though they are similar to what ECE does to the ears.  For now, just use hairs that covers the ears.

 

If you think about, many hairs styles are made for heads with ears.  If your Elin did not have ears, you would have to use hairs that covers the side of the head to hide to large gap on the sides where the ears would be.  With or without ears, you would have to use hairs that covers the side of the head.

Hey PsychoMachina, Love the Elin/Angeli mods you released here in LL. I been meaning to thank you for that...Thank you. Ever since i started playing Skyrim about a year and a half ago I went after this mod first only to realize it had a lot of requirements lol. 

 

I have a question for you now. I went and downloaded a mod called Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide TBBP HDT. I can't seem to get the Elin or any other custom race to work with it. I thought the issue had been with the skeleton and i tried replacing it about 5 times and it didn't work...Next was the meshes...didn't work...im stumped and asked for help on the non-adult mods section and only got 1 response. Im trying to get it to work with the Elin race but it keeps doing a CTD each time...she can't wear vanilla armors or modded armors...except maybe 2 and when i take the armor off i CTD....anyway can you give that mod a look later on? no custom races will work with it. It's a good mod though gives HDT to every armor *except customs* in game and they look greater too. sadly i haven't figured out how to fix it yet and im not a modder so i wouldn't know how to use any programs.

Greetings WiCloud,

 

BBP and TBBP armors made for vanilla races will use the BBP or TBBP skeleton that is installed in the following folder:

 

/meshes/actors/character/character assets female

 

This is the folder used by the female vanilla races.  If you are playing a custom race that uses their own folder paths (custom folders), the armors will not use the skeletons in the custom folders; only the skeletons in the vanilla folders.

 

For the Elins to wear the Remodeled Armors, you must do the following:

 

(1)  Install the Elin TBBP skeleton/animations and body.  Do not move the files out of the Elin race folders.  This allows them to wear the TBBP armors.

 

(2)  Install the required skeleton for Remodeled Armors.  The skeletons will be installed in the vanilla folders I mentioned above.  Do not move the files.  This prevents the armors from crashing when your Elin or any other custom race is equipping the armors.

 

(3)  If you install Groovtama's XPMS Extended, the TBBP animations will overwrite those added by the Elin TBBP body.  If you want to try the XPMS TBBP animations then go ahead and overwrite the animations from the Elin Body pack.  If you later change your mind, you only need to reinstall the Elin TBBP body options.

Thank you Psycho! but i have good news and bad news... the good news, every other custom race i have works now with every vanilla armor and even some modded armors they couldn't put on before due to CTD's.

 

The bad news.....the Angeli can't wear any vanilla armors at all....or i CTD....??? I went and re-downloaded the TBBP body from here and applied it then let the XP32 overwrite it... I crash on all 3 variants. Light, Cloth and Heavy. however she can still wear any modded armor without CTD now instead of just only 2. so that's still a win...sorta...

 

I have the Angeli Elin v1.1 installed and haven't updated it any...could that be my problem? I've not checked for any updates on that mod but i guess i should try to keep up with updates.

There are no latest updates for Angeli.  I have plans to update the body and equipment to HDT, but I need to finish Elin v2 and Elin 2 v1 first.

Have you tried the remodeled armors on the Elins without the Angeli mod?  If the Elins can wear the armor then the problem is with Angeli.

I haven't yet but i will later. Im sure it'll work because this body mod in this thread was meant for the Elins not the Angeli so that's the best possibility as to why it might be doing the CTD every time -.- .

Hey, I'm in a similar boat actually. Currently using the remodeled armors TBBP/HDT with the (non V2) Elin race. Problems I'm having are minor though. Just seems like her posterior can't be contained by some of these clothes/armors. I'm using groomtama's skeleton pack and the hdt settings that come with the elin body replacer provided. Anyone got an idea how to fix this kinda stuff?

I am unsure if these issues have been addressed before (on account there are 3 threads for this by my count, each with about 50+ pages), and if they have I am sorry, but I'm having a couple issues with carriages. First off, I use the alternate start mod "Live Another Life". However when using the Elin mod, I have to start with "I was caught crossing the border illegally", (which is the vanilla Skyrim start, minus the character creation which I do in the prison cell thing before I talk to the Statue of Mara) because every time I choose something else, I end up with a weird orangeish lighting, and my clothes get changed to the prison clothes, with the leather bounds on my wrists, floating in mid air like I'm in a carriage. This happens with every character I make (I would also like to note I cannot start a new game anymore, but that's fine, I'd like it fixed, but it's not as important as these issues). Now, this first carriage issue doesn't bug me as much as the next, which I believe to be connected to the first. In the quest "Diplomatic Immunity", you are required to get on to a carriage to go to the Thalmor Embassy (I'm sure we all know this quest from the main storyline). However, whenever I get on, the screen fades to black, and just sits there. I can pull up any GUI I desire, I can even save and load. But I cannot continue the quest line. As far as I know, this has only happened with the Elin race for me, as I have not attempted it with another race, but taking the experience from the alternate start issue, I assume it happens with any race now. These problems (or singular problem) only began once I added the Elin mod. If any more information is needed about my mods, loading order, etc. I will be happy to provide said information to fix this issue.

 

EDIT: I'd also like to note that this does not happen when I pay for a carriage ride to one of the holds/towns. Only in these two instances.

I don't use Live Another Life and so far you are the only one has addressed this problem so I can't say for certain if there is a conflict between LAL and the Elins.  Hopefully someone who does use LAL with the Elins can provide some insight whether it is a conflict or a problem with LAL itself.

 

As for the carriage bug during the Diplomatic Immunity quest that may have some connection with the problem you are having with Live Another LIfe.  I have completed that quests at least twice with an Elin and, so far, have not had any problems.

 

Did you try reloading a previous save and starting over the quest?

Are you using the Unoffiicial Skyrim Patch?  -this one I suggest trying previous versions of USKP.  From my experience, the last 2 updates breaks the A Night to Remeber quest for me.

Well to my knowledge, almost all race mods work with the LAL mod, but it's a possibility. I will check to make sure.

 

Reloading a save file is something I have attempted multiple times.

As for using the "Unofficial Skyrim Patch", I use Steam, so I am unsure.

Look for "Elin Summon Ring" in the JEWELRY section.  If you don't see it, check your load order for the SummonElinRing.esp.  If it's not there then you will have to reinstall, manually if NMM is not installing it correctly.

It is included with the Elin Followers and NPC pack, but the summon ring will be merged with the race master file for Elin v2.  For now, here is the Summon Ring.

 

SummonElinRing_v2.7z

 

This is the same as the summon ring that is included with the Elin Followers and NPC pack.
