PsychoMachina Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 @Deathmaw Because creating a Tera body, an exact shape Tera body, with bodyslide will suffer 2 problems: hand and foot seams and the low-poly mesh getting wrecked in certain areas of the body. To counter this, the skeleton needs to be edited to help create the shape, but that will cause weapon misalignment, especially the bow and arrows. That is why the custom CBBE and UNP bodies do not perfectly match the Elin's true body. I did recreate the Tera body with Outfit Studio, but the wrists protruded as if the arms and hands were shoved against each other and the seam spread out. Asked for help in one of the Bodyslide threads, but no one answered. @Aeonthraen UN7B? I haven't been keeping up with the latest mods, especially body replacers. Thanks for the link.

Try it with blabbas new Unibody that he is working on: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/27444-project-citrus-%CE%B2-v15/ I think using the supplied feet and hands for unibody would be a good idea. Personally I think the cbbe replacer for the tera body looks fine and is the one I use.
PsychoMachina Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 I'll give Unibody a test drive. Is it UNP-based? The install instruction requires UNP textures.
Deathmaw Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I'll give Unibody a test drive. Is it UNP-based? The install instruction requires UNP textures. The textures are unp based. It uses the same layout as unp so all unp textures will work. The body is actually higher poly than UNP by a fair ammount. The goal of the body is to have the better detail of unp with the features of bodyslide. Blabba's goal has been to incorporate sliders from other bodies so that hopefully you can eventually get basically any bodyshape you would desire. The hand textures need to be edited for it though.
PsychoMachina Posted June 12, 2014 Author Posted June 12, 2014 Tested Unibody. My thoughts? If you want a bodyslide Tera body, Unibody is no better than Bodyslide 2. Both will not create a skinny, flat-chest, curvy thigh body (curvy thighs are the only features that can be created). If blabba adds the Tera body to list of bodies that Unibody can recreate then it's possible to create a bodyslide Tera body. He has yet to contact me so it would appear he is not interested.
TheMangotime Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 I'm having an issue where when i install the elin race mod and all other files and then try to play an already made character (vanilla male wood elf), it lowers my viewpoint to that of what an elin's would be. At first I thought it was because I had the 1st person view fix installed, so I tried to use the main file without the fix, and it still does the same thing. Does anybody know a way around this, I want to use the elin mod, but i want to be an adult character. Ideas?
Nekhoe Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Hello guys first post here and I just want to say I really love these mods. I've never really played Skyrim that much because I generally get really bored of looking at the standard characters and generic races. But now with these Elins I can play the game with the power of kawaii (and spend most of my time dressing them up tbh[Thank you based fox armors]). But yeah. Here's my album I made so far with the Elins. And for all the people working on the mods in this thank you so much!

Scaling for 1stperson and 3rdperson is suppose to be influenced by the race scaling that is assigned to the race. However, Skyrim is more geared towards adult scaling and will have issues with anything shorter. I can make some minor changes so that the Elins will use their own 1stperson skeleton, but whether that will fix your issue or not I can't say for certain, atm. If cause is the game itself having problems distinguishing 2 different playable races with 2 vastly different scaling then I can't help with that. Elin 2 will be released as soon as I'm can start on the voice files and find out why the body (or skeleton) is causing some odd deformation on the torso.
TheMangotime Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Thanks for the help, as long as im here, is the optional voice files just for your player character or is it supposed to work on NPCs and followers too?
PsychoMachina Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 UPDATE - 2014June16-UPDATE-ElinRace_Main_v1.4.1.7z Full main pack update. Elins now have their own 1stperson skeleton; they do not share the skeleton with other races. Possible fix for 1stperson camera issues with non-Elin, playable races having Elin point of view. Thanks for the help, as long as im here, is the optional voice files just for your player character or is it supposed to work on NPCs and followers too? The available voice files are for the playable character only. I would like to edit the voice files of the named NPCs (ex. housecarls), something I'll work on once I'm done with the pc's voices.
PsychoMachina Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 UPDATE - Updated the Elin Voice Pack (KuriYokan) I replaced the Japanese Dragon shouts with the original, albeit tweaked, English versions. This only affects the Skyrim shouts, Dragonborn will be the next update. Working on editing some of the complete voice sets that can be used by the PC and NPC Elins. I'm still working on Elin 2. Right now, in an effort to remove some body shape oddities, I may have to re-edit the XPMSE skeletons. Not fun at all!!!
Mud Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Could you provide a preview of the tweaked shouts, please? I have no idea where I got my current voice pack anymore so I want to make sure I'll like whatever I replace it with.
PsychoMachina Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Sample of the new playable Elin voices - "Fus Ro Dah" Dragon Shout. Sample_ElinVoice_FusRoDah.wav Sample of the future release of the Elin NPC voices - "Dragonborn Comes" bard song. Sample_ElinVoice_DragonbornSong.wav
Mud Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Isn't that the wrong "Fus" to go with the full shout? I'm hearing a little "chipmunk"-iness with the NPC voice, but it seems like they sound close enough to my current voice pack for me to just add the DLC shouts in whenever you've got them ready.
PsychoMachina Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Thanks for your hard work Glad you like them. Much thanks to all who brought the Elins to Skyrim. Isn't that the wrong "Fus" to go with the full shout? I'm hearing a little "chipmunk"-iness with the NPC voice, but it seems like they sound close enough to my current voice pack for me to just add the DLC shouts in whenever you've got them ready. The shout is broken down into 3 files: Fus Fus Ro Ro Dah There are no separate file for each word or a file containing all 3. The sample consisted of merging file #1 with file #3, but the game does it better and sounds different. The voices for the NPCs are WIP. These are the voices I'll probably use if I can't make the adult voices sound child-like, something I think you were expecting when listening to the song. I was going for a "fantasy race" sound. Some of the bard songs include instrumentals with the voice. If anyone knows how to separate the instrumentals so only the voice can be modified, please let me know.
Mud Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Hmm, really? That's really strange... then for some reason, this pack is putting the standalone "Fus" together with "Ro Dah", but the base game uses the Fus from "Fus Ro" instead? A long while back I had wondered if the Vocaloid programs could be used to make higher-pitched dragon shouts. I wonder if anyone's tried doing that?
PsychoMachina Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 The game plays the files in accordance to your progression. It uses file #1 when you learn the first word, file #2 when you learn the second, and file #1+#3 when you finally learn the third word. I makes some sense up to when you learn the third word. Why Beth didn't make the third file all 3 words, I don't know.
Mud Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Yeah, I get that much, but the standard files for Fus Ro Dah are like, "FUS!" for single word use and "FUUUUS...." for both the double and triple words. But it's only just occurring to me now that you probably created the samples by splicing 1 + 3 together yourself and not by recording them in-game, is that right? That explains the difference.
PsychoMachina Posted June 22, 2014 Author Posted June 22, 2014 I did mention I merged the 2 files. It was only for the purpose of allowing users to know what the voice sounded like and not really to make an exact reproduction as it sounds in the game.
kissofthehell Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I just saw your post in "What mod is this?" And i say im looking forward to the Elin race v2. I have a question. Can i use Elin racev2 without the original Elin race as standalone? Also you said in the post im pretty sure what the last part means but it basically means the nude texture which was posted in image in the adult section where you replied right? They're almost ready for their initial release. I just need to finish the voice files, mega hair pack, and the non-nude body (or inject them with hormones).
Mud Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 The last part means body options, I'm guessing. Screenshots and mods involving nude bodies like the ones in the What mod? thread are not allowed, so if they're going to have nude options they'd need more mature bodies.

Either way im looking forward to the v2 race. They seem more how should i put it "skyrimish".
PsychoMachina Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 That pic was made by someone who has the beta files. First time seeing that. Elin 2 is completely standalone so Elin 1.4.1 is not needed or can be installed with it. Just so you and everyone knows, Elin 2 does not have different scaling like what is shown in that pic, only x0.80 (or is it x0.89 - I forgot). I can add the games default underwear to the body, though I prefer to add some custom underwear, but I don't know how to do it; I can add the underwear mesh to the body mesh, but they do not appear on her body in-game. Once I'm done redoing the Monli race, I can get back to where I left off with the Elins.

Question might be wierd but i still want to make sure.
