You need to run the FNIS generator for users to get the tail animations to work.

Whenever you see archive files (zip or 7z) that end with numbers (.001, .002, .003, etc.), that means the files was split as it was being compressed.  You need to make sure you have all of the files in the same folder then double-click or right-click/choose "extract" on the first file ending with .001 only to extract and assemble the complete file.  If you try to extract each file as if they are normal archives then you will get errors.

Yeah, I did that before when I installed it already, but it sometimes gets stuck. I solved it by using showracemenu to change to another tail and back. Thanks for the reply though.

My elin is black when loading games elin disappear ...

If she disappears when loading a save, how do you know she is black?  Does she appear at first then later disappears?  Either way, reinstall the files.  If the black skin problem persists, I'm going to guess you are having problems with memory (vram).  Typically, textures that appear black is cause by the vram unable to load the textures.

 

Try these textures. 

 

 

 

They are the same, but optimized and should fix the black skin, but it will not fix the Elin disappearing completely from your game.

Pardon the late response.  I suggest downloading any Elin mods, other than the Angeli mod, from here because here is where I'll be providing updates, fixes, and new contents.

 

As for what to download, the Elin NPC and Followers mod contains Elin and BnS LIn followers, vanilla follower replacers, and the original Elin summon ring.  The Elin Followers v2c contains 3 followers that was not added to Elin NPC and Followers.

I'm getting CTD i really don't know why...

I installed everything that is required in the right order.

I am able to create the Elin character and play around inside "Alternative Start" room. But as soon as i get out to Skyrim i CTD..

Any advice? I had a UNPB-TBBP settings back there. (Yes i overwrited everything that the mods asked to)

Can you provide a load order?  I suggest installing only the main files and body/texture to minimize any possible causes.  If the crashing stopped, the problem would be one of the options, whether error in installation or conflict with another mod.

 

I never used Alternate Start so I'm wondering if using the "coc" command will work, example:  coc Whiterun.  Use the command when you are ready to enter outdoors, but while indoors.

Sorry i editted my post to add the load order without the mod. I will install it again step by step and see if it works. If not i give you the updated load order.

Alternate Start gives me options to choose plenty of places to start my game, and it doesn't work with any of them. I also crashed even if i loaded my old saves.

I don't see the Race Compatibility mod.  Without it the game will crash as it is a dependency for the Elin race.

 

I see you are running alot of mods that can tax your system (hi-res textures, Skyrim Floral Overhaul, mesh improvements, lighting enhancements).  If you have not done so already, you need to optimize your textures, such as Texture Optimizer, and an alternative to Skyrim Floral Overhaul is Unique Grasses.

 

Also you can use the optimized body textures for the Elins.  http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20121-fixes-elinrace-v13c-texture-packs-tera-elin-race/?p=545955.

This should help reduce the load on memory.

 

In addition, I see you are using Character Making Extender and RaceMenu.  Since you have RaceMenu, you can replace CME with Chargen Extender, but regarding the Elins, they do not have compatible face morphs and ECE or RaceMenu is mainly for the body morphs as long as it recognizes the custom xpms skeletons.  Btw, my Elin skeletons were edited to used with ECE so I don't really know how well they work with RaceMenu.  I have not heard from anyone saying they are having any issues when using RaceMenu so I'm going to assume the skeletons are compatible.

Okay, that's great.  I still recommend using the optimized Elin textures.  Before SKSE and ENB became the norm, using the textures didn't cause any problems, but could cause memory issues now.

 

As for the skeletons, I have included BBP and TBBP skeletons along with the Elin skeletons with the associated bodies.

According to lore, the Elins are chronologically older than their physical appearance.  However, because they look like young girls (with large hips), people will equate them with lolis.  Loli mods + sex mods are frowned upon.  It's your choice, your game, just keep it to yourself.

Well, I looked through, and it seems I'm the only one with this issue.  Textures load fine, but the moment I add any recent main Elin mod, to the list, the faces / heads of the character starts flickering.  This persists, even when I try changing to the Elin race.  I can make it temporarily stop, by changing something like face makeup or something, but when I exit the race menu, it just starts up again.  Any idea?  (I'm trying this with a new game, every time)  

 

Oh yeah, one more thing, I have an old version of the main Elin file, from February, and it works fine, just the recent ones don't work, for whatever reason.

I'm still using an old version, though...(starter pack in your old thread 'New Elin Race') I have no choice because new versions bring me continuous CTDs.

The problem occurs almost every time when I decapitate an elin.

I'm using your NPC mod so there're lots of elin soldiers and I simply can't fight with them for every one of them can make my game crashed upon their death.

Odd thing is, your old version just works fine and there's no CTD at all...

I can use that old version of course, but I really wanna catch up your work so please tell me if there's any advise you can give me.

At least you (and other mod users in this thread) may tell me whether your elin decapitation works fine, so I can figure out a complete reinstall can solve my problem.

This is news to me.  The main differences between the older files and the current are (1) new custom bodies, (2) xpms skeletons, (3) optimized textures, and (4) updated race controller scripts for the latest Racial Compatiblity mod.

 

Just to be sure, did you try the new files with a new install (as oppose to merely overwriting old files) and start a new game?  Sometimes, with some mods, a clean install and/or starting a new game will eliminate some glitches/bugs.

Please understand that it's very hard for me to do a complete reinstall... It'll take more than a day(maybe even a week!) to restore things I've done in Skyrim and my game folder.

If that's the only way I can choose and that'll solve the problem, I may do it. But for now I'm not sure even a fresh new install can fix the issue.

 

Nevertheless, I can assure you I didn't just overwrite the old files for I installed & deleted through NMM, and double checked my game folder manually to ensure clean removal.

I installed the new version after that(using NMM of course) and loaded my vanilla save which I use for testing.

CTDs upon decapitation, however, never stopped...  Weird thing is, even my modded saves work perfectly well just like a fresh vanilla save... except for the decapitation problem.

 

So I did some research myself, compared the old starter pack I've been using with the new one, found out new version has 'character assets' and 'character assets female' folder under Meshes/Actors/characters, containing some skeleton nif files old versions don't have. I'm pretty sure they're new skeletons files you mentioned above.

 

Actually, during installation NMM asked me whether to overwrite existing skeleton files from 'xpms 1.9 for tbbp'.

 

I clicked 'No' at first, because I'm currently using CBBE body for non-Elin characters and if I overwrite the skeleton files. it would make every non-Elin females cause instant CTDs.

And As I mentioned above, there was no problem until I decapitated one of Elin NPCs. I could use your new body for my Elin character & Elin NPCs and CBBE body for the others. 

Decapitation glitch was the only problem, so I deleted and installed again saying 'Yes' next time, but resulted in CTDs upon loading as I worried. 

 

It made me really confused and discouraged... should I choose just one between your new elin race and CBBE? I really hope there's a way out...

 

P.S)  I could do a complete reinstall of your new elin mod and load my game without CTDs by using a save wearing full armor sets, no people around.

         Then I summoned an Elin with console commands, tried beheading but same thing - CTD upon decapitation - happened.

         I don't know much about modding but this is so strange... Again, decapitation is the only problem. Other killmoves are OK. They were always OK... WTH

Stay with the old files if they are working for you.  The new files are more of an appearance upgrade.

 

The new Elin body pack contains BBP and TBBP skeletons and animations and that is why NMM is asking to overwrite some files.  The Elins do not really need them, but without these skeletons, you can not use BBP or TBBP armors (equipping will cause CTD).

 

You are having problems with the xpms skeletons from the latest pack.  The skeletons from the old files are customized vanilla skeletons.  I think your crashing is the result of some conflict between my custom xpms skeletons and xpms 1.9.

 

I plan on updating the skeletons to v1.9 first for the LiL Monlis then for the Elins.  Maybe this will fix the crashing, if conflicting versions of xpms skeletons are the cause.

 

 

In addition, just letting you know, don't install BBP or TBBP assets for the Elins if the non-Elin npcs are not using those or not matching what you installed.

 

In other words, what body and skeleton you install for non-Elin npcs, you must match when installing the Elin body and skeletons for the Elins (non-BBP with non-BBP, BBP with BBP, TBBP with TBBP).
