I got it to work, it was the RBT mod I didn't install it correctly so it was causing that texture issue. But now I just need to attach and run dyload and I'm solid now.

In MO2, where you add xLOD as an executable, there's a line called "Arguments". You can get there in the "<...Edit> menu and select xLODgen (you need to do it with Texgen and Dyndolod too).

Pd: opinion in the series of mods "clouds over ____" mods? i went over and installed all of them since they do seem to just be plugnPlay but still.
cant test it as im waiting for the next guide update tho

Work is done (finally weekend), now the 'real' work continues... ;)

 

For years i've been struggling with the distant mountains being way too bright (aka way too white) and even clearly visible through fog. Now it looks like i finally got it right and they blend in with the other terrain and mountain textures.

I wouldn't use it. The building isn't so tall it would actually reach into the cloudcover.

@Aylis What's the Ryn's Standing Stones Patches for? Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods?

Also, the AIO Farms patch throws a Missing Masters error. Do you want to switch to the Ryn's Farms AIO instead of the individual ones?

@Aylis I have it. The Standing Stones-Farms AIO patch has as a master "Ryn's Farms.esp", which is from the Farms AIO. We aren't using that.

Also, what settings are needed for the other Standing Stones patch? The only one I see is Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods, which has a big "this is a work in progress" notice in the FOMOD.

You make a fake empty master with wryebash. The only thing that AiO patch touches is the terrain between snowshod farm and the shadow stone.
And then you move the patches behind Landscape Fixes for Grass Mods because that one would revert all changes again.

 

Once that is done you only have to pay a bit attention when rerunning Lux (Orbis) and undo its Farms patch else you end up with lux artifacts around the windhelm farms.

 

edit: you also want to move snowshod farm after standing stones as a failsave. in that order it does not glitch out as badly if something else decideds to mess around with that area again

Supposedly one could just redo the AiO patch changes into something that does not require the farms master it is just a pain to forward those changes without also forwarding the masters.

@alaunus01 & @Aylis yes, how silly of me for missing the most convoluted "fix" I've ever seen that doesn't belong anywhere near a "Skyrim AE for Beginners" list. ?

 

For the second mod, if we just need the patch for Landscape Fixes, that should be in the instructions, as it will require moving the plugins around. Or just place the second mod in the Patches section.

a) if you load snowshod farm after standing stones it still will be 'functional' just not as pretty as with the patch. probably not even noticable for most people.

b) agreed the patches should be in the patches section after LFFG

c) to properly get rid of the fake master you first would have to copypasta all the changes from the patch into both the standing stones & the snowshod farm esp (that is a LOT of copypasta) and then recreate a new patch (which in this case is not trivial too else you miss some parts) ?

Not saying to get rid of the fake plugin. That's the easiest solution. Well, really the easiest solution would be to just use the AIO, but I'm guessing that must interfere with the Kynesgrove mod or something. The second easiest solution is to give instructions on the list.

 

@Aylis Switching gears, another nitpick that I've been saying for like two years now is TDM needs to be in the list. Not having it makes Valhalla basically a hindrance unless you're only using it in first person. And having TrueHud without it is like having peanut butter without jelly. Takes like two seconds to set up. Hell, I'll do a write-up.

Hi i got a working version with all the mods just because of the work u had with this guide, thanks for it.

If i speak with the dragon, he plays his soundfile, but i cant select a start.
