Caliban44 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I'm having a similar problem to boonboonsplat, recently upgraded my pc reinstalled skyrim with all the same mods i was using before now the only one that doesn't work is Defeat. I cant even get it to show in the mcm menu any more, (it did initially but wouldn't work) I've been trying to fix this for 2 weeks and tried everything i can think of. Checked load orders, uninstalled reinstalled on clean saves redownloaded and reinstalled, removed mods nothing has worked. I have searched so many forums for a fix and found a few with similar problems but not 1 with a fix please help. it registers in fins but it just wont come up in the mcm and when it does when you click on activate mod it does nothing. do you use jaxonz mcm kicker from the nexus? if not get it did you install sexlab in game first? is this on a new game or old? if old did you clean your save with a save game cleaner? also did you run L.O.O.T.? post your load order between [ spoiler] [ /spolier] after removing the spaces

(had it working before upgrading Pc without it) yes sexlab was installed first and in the correct order, my load order is also correct according to loot. EvilReFlex Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I have 1 small problem... If a female rapes a male, defeat plays every time one of only two animation set. (females on male cowgirl is activated) "Sexlab override" is deactivated in ZaZ. (and makes no difference if I activate it)

The only difference is that I didn't do a reinstall of Skyrim and all the mods. I just noticed that Defeat 5.2.1 didn't trigger anymore. So I updated to version 5.2.2 by using a cleaned savegame. This resulted in still having the MCM menu but the mod was in an disabled state and I couldn't enable it in the MCM menu. After several reinstall with a cleaned savegame I always get the MCM menu but it is still disabled. When I try to enable it, it says installing and tells me to leave the menu and wait until the mod enables. But this never happens regardless of how long I wait. I already ran mcm kicker, installed sexlab first and also ran L.O.O.T. and FNIS. Did this all with mod organizer. And the savegame is an already existing one cleaned with the save game tool. And I have disabled sex attacks in cursed loot. I really like this mod and would love to get it running again. But everything I tried did not work. I would really be glad if someone could help me or point me in a direction I didn't thought of. When my follower defeats an enemy and the message to take part in the rape pops up, even thogh I choose "YES", only the follower participates. The player never takes part of the action. Is there an option in the MCM I missed again?
neal0790 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Can anyone help me out. Im trying to use defeat and death alternative together, but its just not working out. I can use them both separately with no problems, but as soon as i combine them im getting a CTD every time i die or have to reload a save. I think it is screwing with my games saves. If i save with both of them installed my saved wont load and i just CTD. Separately i have no game save problems. Ive been trying to figure this out for like 4 hours now and im just out of ideas. Tried adjusting my load order, tried loading up and configuring the settings so it plays nice, etc but its just CTD when i die or create a new save and try to load it. I have a pretty heavy modded game but its completely stable until i combine these two. So im going to assume something isnt compatible i got. Any help would be appreciated, because i really want this to work. Thanks. Versh Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Hi Goubo, Some user of my mod has noticed an incompatibility between my mod (SLSF) and Defeat. It seems that the "Enabling procedure" of the Defeat fail to complete or get completed badly (so the Defeat doesn't trigger). I was not able to reproduce the bug, anyway I've done a brief check, here the results: First, The SLSF and the Defeat does two different things, and actually they doesn't have almost anything in common, so I don't think it's a proper incompatibility between our mods. Second, the Install() Function of the Defeat uses a lot of GetForm() instead of GetFormFromFile(), and according to the Wiki http://www.creationkit.com/GetForm_-_Game NotesScripts should always be blind to the contents of data files, and rely on properties as the interface through which they access data from data files. As such, this function should only ever be used for debugging purposes. As the FormID is intended to be a 32-bit unsigned integer and Papyrus uses signed integers, this function is not reliable for forms from higher-ordered mods. Specifically, any FormID with the MSB set (load order 0x80 and above) will fail to return a valid object. I think that this could be the problem: With high load order some properties in the install function from the Defeat return None and doesn't work. Thought that this could interest you. Edit: Seems that V5b3.3fixed actually works with SLSF, so the problem could be in a change between those two version.
jameswolf69 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 tried turning off sexual fame mods made no difference, even with a clean save. gonna try using an older version of defeat. if anyone has a fix that works you would make my day/month/year. I'm missing having the defeat functions tying in with Death alternative. Also glad I'm not the only one with this problem.

I can use them both separately with no problems, but as soon as i combine them im getting a CTD every time i die or have to reload a save. I think it is screwing with my games saves. If i save with both of them installed my saved wont load and i just CTD. Separately i have no game save problems. Ive been trying to figure this out for like 4 hours now and im just out of ideas. Tried adjusting my load order, tried loading up and configuring the settings so it plays nice, etc but its just CTD when i die or create a new save and try to load it. I have a pretty heavy modded game but its completely stable until i combine these two. So im going to assume something isnt compatible i got. I came across a post somewhere where they said interesting/inconsequential npcs's messed with there game so i removed those to mods. Cleaned my game save, added defeat/alternative start then added both those mods one by one back in it saving everytime now it works. But i do have one issue which im going to just call a bug since i played for about 5 hours died, about 10 times (my games really hard) and it worked everytime. Except the last time, i got it set so im robbed everytime, I got defeated, got assaulted then robbed and woke up in camp. I went to the quest objective and the marker is just on the ground with the guy no where to be found. I used TCL to looked under the ground to see if he fell in somewhere but cant find him. Any way to spawn him to me or am i just screwed?

Anytime I try to surrender to some race from a DLC (dawnguard or DB) it doesn't work. And anytime I try to mark anyone with the hotkey, I get "*insertDLCRaceActor* has resisted DefeatHKActionSPL" or something like that. Surrender does work for races that cannot be marked, but it treats those actors not as creatures and they initiate dialog with the player after surrender, but do not initiate rape or anything. any idea on what could cause specific actors or races to not be treated as what they should be? I've checked through TESVEdit and found that none of my mods are altering the vanilla and DLC races.

It seems that the "Enabling procedure" of the Defeat fail to complete or get completed badly (so the Defeat doesn't trigger). I was not able to reproduce the bug, anyway I've done a brief check, here the results: First, The SLSF and the Defeat does two different things, and actually they doesn't have almost anything in common, so I don't think it's a proper incompatibility between our mods. Second, the Install() Function of the Defeat uses a lot of GetForm() instead of GetFormFromFile(), and according to the Wiki http://www.creationkit.com/GetForm_-_Game NotesScripts should always be blind to the contents of data files, and rely on properties as the interface through which they access data from data files. As such, this function should only ever be used for debugging purposes. As the FormID is intended to be a 32-bit unsigned integer and Papyrus uses signed integers, this function is not reliable for forms from higher-ordered mods. Specifically, any FormID with the MSB set (load order 0x80 and above) will fail to return a valid object. I think that this could be the problem: With high load order some properties in the install function from the Defeat return None and doesn't work. Thought that this could interest you. Edit: Seems that V5b3.3fixed actually works with SLSF, so the problem could be in a change between those two version. Thank you very much for the tip with SexLab - Sexual Fame issue. After uninstalling this mod defeat v5.2.2 works for me again. Seems I have to wait for a fix before i can use Sexual Fame again.

throwgames Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I am having a problem with getting the animations to start when the Player is the aggressor. Whenever an animation is supposed to start, the target is stripped and then the player just stands there forever. Their clothes aren't removed, no sounds start playing, and the controls are disabled. It worked twice after randomly pressing buttons and it played the tribadism animation but that never worked again. The animations start just fine when the player isn't the aggressor (i.e. when I command my follower to do it). I have no idea what the problem is so any help would be appreciated

Does anyone know if it's reasonably safe to install the older version or will it not work with new Sexlab etc.?
dienow Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Am I correct in observing that creatures will not assault followers if you disable creatures from attacking you? Trying to get male creatures to attack female followers while being a male pc character. Using prior version of Defeat, because 1.61 isn't stable yet, and 1.60 didn't work right.
WCSC Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Sometimes or every so often it seems like I have to uninstall both creature framework and defeat and reinstall from the MCM, sometimes even Sex Lab too. Sometimes I get an error "API Reference not found. Maybe Creatture Framework is not installed properly. Do a clean save and Retry?" pops up from time to time and I just quit and restart thbe game from desktop, I wonder if this has a part to play in it all. It used to be creatures would assualt no problem and peeople were chancy, not it's the opposite, creatures are chancy
Versh Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Hi Goubo, Some user of my mod has noticed an incompatibility between my mod (SLSF) and Defeat. It seems that the "Enabling procedure" of the Defeat fail to complete or get completed badly (so the Defeat doesn't trigger). I was not able to reproduce the bug, anyway I've done a brief check, here the results: First, The SLSF and the Defeat does two different things, and actually they doesn't have almost anything in common, so I don't think it's a proper incompatibility between our mods. Second, the Install() Function of the Defeat uses a lot of GetForm() instead of GetFormFromFile(), and according to the Wiki ... Edit: Seems that V5b3.3fixed actually works with SLSF, so the problem could be in a change between those two version. I uninstalled SLSF and cleaned the save, but unfortunately, it doesn't change anything for me. Does anyone know if it's reasonably safe to install the older version or will it not work with new Sexlab etc.? Uninstall, Clean Save (with a save tool) and reinstall Defeat, I think is a problem of the install procedure of SL Defeat and the GetForm(). Is also the only reason why you could have this problem even after removing the SLSF. (That something goes wrong in the install procedure and make some properties return None, so the Defeat get stucked and Still stucked)

Ursur1major Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I decided to start a new game a few days ago, everything was going pretty well, I was configuring mods in the MCM menu when I got to Defeat and tried to install it. Nothing happened, I click on it, get the prompt to close down the menu then I waited, nothing happens for several minutes, I go into the MCM menu and Defeat tell me I still need to install it. So close down the game, disable Defeat and Devious Captures that I've also got, run FNIS, start up game, save game, close down, enable mods, run FNIS, start game. and then the mods were gone from the MCM menu, I tried the console command to force MCM to fix itself, didn't get them back. Closed down the game, did all that all over again, now they're in the MCM menu again, but trying to install Defeat still didn't do anything. Now I've started a completly new game all over again, and now they're not even in the MCM menu from the start. I closed down the game, did the whole mod disabling and enabling all over again, start it up, and now Devious Captures shows up in the MCM menu but Defeat doesn't. I've also shut down and started up the computer several times between trials and validaded game files, none of which have done anything. I've not updated Defeat or Sexlab since last time I played and it worked wonderfully when I did, it just seems to have appeared out of nowhere. I would really appreciate some help on this, thanks in advance.

I can use them both separately with no problems, but as soon as i combine them im getting a CTD every time i die or have to reload a save. I think it is screwing with my games saves. If i save with both of them installed my saved wont load and i just CTD. Separately i have no game save problems. Ive been trying to figure this out for like 4 hours now and im just out of ideas. Tried adjusting my load order, tried loading up and configuring the settings so it plays nice, etc but its just CTD when i die or create a new save and try to load it. I have a pretty heavy modded game but its completely stable until i combine these two. So im going to assume something isnt compatible i got. And don't use the Deferred Kill option. And click the "Check compatible mods" on Defeat's main page as well, to make sure Defeat is correctly registered in DA. off topic: Goubo, when can we expect a new version? From what I understand, you have already made a few small fixes to the scripts.

Whenever an animation is supposed to start, the target is stripped and then the player just stands there forever. Their clothes aren't removed, no sounds start playing, and the controls are disabled. It worked twice after randomly pressing buttons and it played the tribadism animation but that never worked again. The animations start just fine when the player isn't the aggressor (i.e. when I command my follower to do it). I have no idea what the problem is so any help would be appreciated I guess I should add that I just installed Defeat and that I don't think this is a FNIS issue as the animations work when used by other mods.

I would really appreciate some help on this, thanks in advance. Sounds a lot like the problem I had. Versh posted something about an incompatibility with SL Sexual Fame. If you have it installed then try removing it. After I did my Defeat worked again.
