Godreaper Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Im still having trouble for defeat to work reliably. Letting DA initiate the bleed out sequence for defeat does not work all the time. It seems as I can only surrender to one enemy at a time. if that enemy dies with psq or another mod, all other enemies do not accept a surrender. Most npc's added by other mods seem to not recognize the surrender either. They look at my character but nothing happens. I have reinstalled the mod multiple times. Reinstalled my whole load order to no effect. The player as aggresor part of the mod works flawlessly for me. I just cant seem to be a proper victim.
gooser Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Hello, I'm not sure what the deal is but my followers all end up doing upside-down snow angels instead of bleedout (see attached photo). I'm also attaching an export of my Defeat settings. I also use DA. Any ideas would be welcome! DefeatConfig.txt
kevlar69 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I love this mod, Thank You! to the author and everyone involved! I have an issue where bandits are all friendly to me. In once instance, in the Midden (beneath Winterhold), a frostbite spider, and some draugr have ignored me as well. For the bandits, the only command to resolve so far is 'removeFromAllFactions'. I haven't tried with the spider or draugr. I do not know if this issue is caused by SL Defeat, but I have read of similar issues with this mod. I have done a MCM cleanup, but the problem remains. I have quite a few mods installed, the load order has changed over the course of the ~1500 save games, I have removed and upgraded and reinstalled Defeat, and a number of other mods. as well, with extensive use of Hadorams save cleaner. I could easily have screwed up something, and am not sure if my save file has some crap in it somewhere messing this up. I have removed my player from all factions using the script found here: http://pastebin.com/i4Gpggbj I have gone so far as to install ConSkrybe, in console type a 'help faction 0', manipulated the output log file to get a new 'batch' file, with about 360 'addToFaction D900B4E4 -1" like commands. And....! bandits still friendly - only 'removeFromAllFactions' fixes this, but likely breaks a lot of other stuff. I don't know if there are hidden factions not being listed or if, as a Succubus Race Vampire, everyone just likes me now. Can old 'defeat' variables remain from when the mod was upgraded or uninstalled properly, despite being 'cleaned' by a mod cleaner? Any advice?
ttpt Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Hello, I'm not sure what the deal is but my followers all end up doing upside-down snow angels instead of bleedout (see attached photo). I'm also attaching an export of my Defeat settings. I also use DA. Any ideas would be welcome! if your followers recovers on their side like that and then sort of slide around while following you that's an animation problem. Generally this is a problem with ragdolling and animation sort of messing up if they happen at the same time. If you also use death alternative you might want to change the setting to bleedout only without ragdoll. It's not a big problem it should clear itself when you do a screen transition.
destaice Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Okay, I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I found a solution to issues with 3 ways. Go to mod configuration, sex lab, toggle animations, aggressive animations, and turn the 3 way options on. That should cause them to actually occur. Again, may have been posted but I don't know.
afa Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Hello, I'm not sure what the deal is but my followers all end up doing upside-down snow angels instead of bleedout (see attached photo). I'm also attaching an export of my Defeat settings. I also use DA. Any ideas would be welcome! There is a custom "exhausted" or "trauma" animation for follower, so it might be playing that and the animation seems a little off. I have also seen something similar when DA tries to handle follower or some other follower managing mod tries to handle follower knock down. And disable ragdoll setting as mentioned above.
chipstick Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Has anyone had problems where using Defeat5.1 with DA results in *instant* bleedouts that transition immediately into *instant blackouts*? I don't like using DA's bleedout threshold to trigger defeat for a few big reasons. 1) defeat has more customisable conditions for downing. 2) my game freezes *a lot* when the game tries to transition from DA to defeat's assaults, especially on uneven terrain; (Defeat initiating its own assaults is perfectly fine) When using 5.3b, it worked perfectly despite advice to disable defeats downing conditions. I'd get defeated, assaulted, recover, then - 1) if dropped again in the next few seconds, id enter bleedout, and potentially blackout; or 2) if I stayed on my feet for a while or healed myself, then if I dropped again, we'd repeat an assault. Now, using 5.1b, if I get downed using defeats conditions, as soon as the assault is over, my game instantly goes bleedout, then blackout. Unavoidable, done in a few seconds flat. Defeat --> enemy orgy --> bleedout popup --> click ok, blackout popup. If I disable DA, defeat works perfectly. Enemy has their way with my PC, PC recovers and scampers for her life. If I disable defeat's conditions, then DA tries to fire defeats assaults (mostly fails and freezes in the location I was trying it at, near riverwood). On the one occasion it succeeded in firing, my pc was able to run for her life again after DA-initiated defeat had done its thing. Hoping someone has some suggestions, otherwise it looks like my only other option is to revert to 5.3b or ditch DA, which also then ditches sanguines debauchery. These are really last resorts. Edit: Sorry, asked the above while annoyed. Kludged a fix of sorts by disabling defeats transition to DA, and vice versa. Defeat kicks in at higher thresholds. Set DA to kick in independently at lower thresholds. Not as good a situation as I had with 5.3b but best I can manage at present. I still don't know why DA and defeat have such difficulty transitioning between each other though. DA --> defeat tends to freeze skyrim, defeat --> DA leads straight to blackout. Huh. Also, yes, ragdoll was disabled.
Badneibours Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Hey so i've got an issue where when i attempt rape or when an NPC attempts to rape me they both strip down to naked but then they just stand next to each other and just stare at each other in a T like pose and the animations don't play. I'm unsure as to what might be causing the animations to not play so any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've seen the Knocked Down and Trauma animations on my followers. I can always interact with the followers using the activate key, and then I can select "revive" (or "rape" if feeling evil...). That's not what is happening here. They are facedown, unmoving, and there is no activate option. sillplain Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 it's really great mod.. can't wait to get its stable version to play with! i used 5.0.2 for quite some time and got some papyrus errors.. well, i'll just install this again later mid game since i'm trying to make no errors in papyrus since i wanted to play skyrim without crashing.. well i'm pretty sure this mod won't cause any CTD, but still, i'm playing super safe right now.. uninstalling tons of mods..
wardrake Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Can anyone help out. I cannot install any version of defeat I download, it shows as a tgz. I don't much about file coding.

Do you have FNIS installed, and did you run the FNIS program and update the FNIS behavior? if not, then that would be why
sidfu Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 so far no problems with newest update but for 1 thing when later after they untied and i defeat them again and say i want another round they keep going back to the defeated pose during sex.

Also, yes, ragdoll was disabled. I don't think you're experiencing any bugs, instant bleedout then blackout is just the new intended behavior for defeat to transition into DA scenarios more effectively. The way to prevent the instant blackout is to change the setting on defeat's MCM for post assault and check the death alternative setting, if it's at 100% then defeeat will always go into instant blackout after an assault so that it can trigger DA scenario. If you set it to 0% then obviously there will be no instant blackouts. but it will still transition to post assault defeat scenarios with the probabilities listed on defeat's MCM, specifically the Inn event or the left for dead event, or just let you go on if the sum of those probabilities isn't 100. The key is to the probability of Death Alternative as set on the post assault tab on defeat's MCM.
--CoRrUpTiOn-- Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 hi there. has anyone had a glitch with defeat v5 fixed edition where all or some of ur followers stop following u after a defeat scene? I am having this same issue with 5.1.0 installed. Doesn't matter what follower, console command or combo of settings in DA/Defeat I use, they simply will not continue to follow me after an event. I've tried dismissing them as well and no luck. Funny thing is, I can still tell them to "Wait Here", and they will move to that location, but still will not follow me from there. Anyone else have this issue and find a solution?

I have had this happen with a female follower that stood in place naked after a bandit attack, I have been using EFF and left the area then when she didnt ever follow I used the Leader Teleportation spell and when she appeared she was dressed and active.

lytelyte Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Ran into this issue when upgrading. Came out of FNIS ">>Warning: AnimationList found in "Animations\SexLabDefeat", but no corresponding Behavior file. Incomplete mod IGNORED.<<" The mod still functions, just strange. Not sure if this is an error on my end with other mods or not. Also the Weapon/Armor Strip/unequip/etc functionality isn't working. All of my equipped armor and weapons are striped and cannot be changed. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I had resorted to setting DA scenarios to 0% in defeat, seems to be the only way I could get it to do what I wanted. Thanks ttpt.
Rabblerouser Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Would Defeat have anything to do with my game crashing every time I try to save after removing Death Alternative (per the instructions on thier page)?
JuliusXX Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Would Defeat have anything to do with my game crashing every time I try to save after removing Death Alternative (per the instructions on thier page)? If a mod had a "soft" dependency on DA, then you must reinstall it after removing DA. This happened to me once and it took some time before I found the reason. IIRC in my case it was also Defeat.
Sneaksmile Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 This mod work without the FNIS creature pack? I'm not into zoophilia or monster rape, what do exactly the creature pack? Thanks.
nutluck Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 This mod work without the FNIS creature pack? I'm not into zoophilia or monster rape, what do exactly the creature pack? Thanks. The creature pack adds animations for animals and creatures. This includes animals like wolves, dogs and horses, but it also includes trolls, giants, werewolves etc. Defeat has a option to allow creatures or not so you can turn them off if you want. There is also a toggle in sexlab to turn creatures off as well. Finally in sexlab there is a animation registry that lets you turn on or off certain creatures. So for example lets say you don't want any creature but werewolves and vampire lords. You could uncheck all the other animations and then only those would work and trigger with defeat and the rest wouldn't. It allows for a lot of customization if you really get into the options.

You know.. it hit me.. I never had it try and scan again for compatible mods. I just went for the nuclear option first and uninstalled Defeat (I reinstalled it after ofc ). Maybe that would've worked. Hopefully it would've.
LibertyPrime Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 I have yet another issue to report. Killing enemies with the 'action' key (G by default) right after knocking them down unconcious (also with G) seems to make my game crash guaranteedly. I'm not ENTIRELY sure if it's a guaranteed CTD because I had a weapon equipped the other day and I stealthly killed someone with it (think it was a dagger) and it did not CTD. The CTDs seem to happen if I don't have a weapon equipped and instead try to kill someone with my bare fists. Gonna investigate further.
