If you're having issues with the mod getting stuck, what's your framerate? The way skyrim handles its scripts it's very framerate dependent. Anything below 30 fps and you're probably gonna have issues with defeat, I know I did, but since I've increased my framerate it's been working perfectly fine, and that's with a load order that nearly at the limit, and quite a few of them are very script heavy.

So I've managed to get it to say "Resist!" now. The issue is that I am still never successful. It does not even give me a percentage. It just says resist. I haven't seen the "Grab" animation in a very very very long time. I think there is something wrong with it. Can anyone provide any insight?

Don't think this has been reported yet as it's an intermittent one that's not too easy to reproduce.

 

If the pc is defeated the QTE bar appears and the pc goes down, but if the attacker is then defeated (by a follower or conjured atronach) the pc then get up again but the QTE bar remains stuck on the screen and seems to get baked into the save. Reloading doesn't clear it and neither does turning resistance off.

 

So it looks like unless there's a way to fill the QTE bar it remains permanently on screen

 

You can fix this for your save by going into the MCM menu for defeat and forcing it to display the QTE bar.

I don't think any faction post defeat events are in yet. Only wilderness and inn rescue.

 

Also if PC is knock down but followers still fighting it seems like the get back up QTE bar takes a long time to fill even with high appropriate skill level, but when enemy actually approach downed PC for stripping it fills according to higher skill level it seems.

That's where you're wrong. Forsworn will cage you, bandits rob you, etc. (I haven't run into the necromancer action yet)

DA has its own set of post assault events that Defeat can link to base on settings, but I don't think there's any Defeat content in those once they trigger.

Defeat by itself also have its own set of post assault events, however if the first post is to be believe the faction events aren't implement yet at least not fully, only robbing, wilderness, and inn are complete.

Forsworn putting you in a cage is very specifically a quest from DA, you could uninstall defeat and you would still get put in a cage by them. The faction events listed in the defeat settings are for something entirely different, something that hasn't been implemented yet, so leaving those at 0% is probably a wise choice.. Any faction event besides just the generic robbing quest is a DA quest.

 

So to explain further, Defeat has a post assault wilderness event that just leaves you in the middle of wherever, there's also the robbing event defeat has, that's two events that can happens in sequence. DA on the other hand also has a wilderness event that on top of leaving you wherever also robs you of your stuff. Defeat also has its own quest to recover your stuff that's different from DA's quest for recovering your stuff.

 

Defeat's implementation of stealing your gear could also use a little more work, since it can still steal quest items from you, DA's robbing quest doesn't steal the quest items that defeat would.

I have managed to get myself bugged twice and my follower has once. The bad guys and my pc hit at the same time, he dies and I drop to bleedout, after a few I stand but everything is non-aggro...I have to load a save before it happened. My follower did this and just stayed in bleedout crawl forever. Might be bad luck timing but its new for me and I have used Defeat on almost every playthrough. Thanks for a great, well made mod! I am so looking forward to factions and Dirty Deeds.

I just randomly started running into a problem where I am unable to grab my victim. I always get the message that I wasn't successful. Happens every single time. 

 

Any idea what might be wrong?

 

Just started a new game and I'm getting the same thing even changing settings so I get a 100% bonus as aggressor didn't help. Never had this happen before either.

 

 

EDIT: The mod "violens" seems to have been the problem put the "violens.esp" file above defeat in the load order and seems to have fixed my issue.

Many players are seeing this issue.  The author said to use the rebuild/reset option but it doesn't always work.  My grab attempts are all failing.  I wish this would get fixed.  I may have to switch back to Submit if we don't get an update soon.

i havent had any problems with no controls after when i have resist set off. if there isnt a followup rape while i sat/laying down, i get up and have to rearm very quickly. i sort of break immersion by miraculously requip my armor also, but when i got like 4 bandits attacking i figure its fair enough lol. is there an option to NOT disable player controls in the menu? i seem to recall that. 

 

EDIT: i am having problems with surrender. if i use k to surrender, i CTD either just when the enemy does the laugh or just after they undress me. it used to work before the update, but not sure why its not working. anyone had anything similar? if so how did you try and fix it? knockdown works as normal.

i hope its just something simple and i dont have to try and make papyrus logs...

looks like v 4.2.1 most stable...i've tried v5 only now and after all instructions about clear save scripts work not correctly. first of all defeat trigger not start then creature trigger not start. only new game solves this problems. looks like 4.2.1 will back in my game

Could there be a MCM option to set a female player character use male animations but not use the strap-on? I uses SOS to make my character into a hermaphrodite but she still has the strap-on equipped >.<

Unless I simply missed it in the menus, but I'm pretty sure I checked it thoroughly

in the sexlab mcm menu on the clean and rebuild page (i think) you can select which strapons are allowed, just remove the strapon from the list.

Used to use 4.2 and loved it but thought I would upgrade and try the new one. 

 

I cant even figure out how to install it...  NMM doesn't even recognize the file format used so when I try to add the mod and open the folder where the mod was downloaded, it doesn't even see the file though ever other mod shows up.

 

Is there anywhere this file can be found in the normal zip formats that NMM and other mod tools recognize?

I recently started using Violens. Theres a chance this could fix my problem. Im about to give it a try and will report back tomorrow after work. Thanks bro.

I cannot be aggressor to creatures, and if i surrender to them, they just stand there then start attacking me again after a few seconds.  the player as victim portion seems to works ok if i get less than 20%hp.  how is being aggressor to creature or surrendering supposed to work? is something wrong?

If the download isn't a zip file that was a problem with the forum's software, try downloading it again.

I don't believe you can be an aggressor towards creature's or surrender to them. This is by design and it make sense.

are you sure?  and it doesnt make sense.

it's true you can't be aggressor to creature and surrender to them. it would be great in the future. at least against Spriggans and Flame Atronachs with male characters))
