Ok I did some more testing and it seems surrender is bugged. If you surrender to animals/creatures it won't work, they just keep attacking. If you surrender to people I get a CTD.

 

If defeat triggers during combat though it works just fine.

I don't think surrendering to animals is meant to work, in my game it pauses the fight for a brief second then resume combat. No issue with surrendering to humans however.

 

I noticed rather recently that the pacification scripts that are used to keep an enemy from attacking during the Quest-robbing period tend to stop early. Sometimes I'm on the floor, still going through the A & D to stand up, and he starts attacking and kills me.

 

There also is occasions where they will start attacking if you end up typing TFC while you're being raped.

 

EDIT: Also companion collateral is a bit broken as well, causing them to go after; though ultimately ignoring your companion. Following him/her as she wanders around in a crawl, but never stripping and raping her. When they are done with you, the companion gets up; but is treated like she's down, so you can't access her menu and she won't attack anyone.

A lot of things odd with followers, try not to kill the actor that is in animation with the follower. Try not to go down while followers are in animation (yea this one is tricky here :P). Things usually fix itself after you end your current fight one way or another. Don't go Clean Up crazy if you have DA activated, especially if follower is down.

I was of the same belief there too.  It's not like most animals could talk back.  Wolves wouldn't be able to tie you up and such, after all.  Surrendering to beasts seemed kind of impossible, so I'm pretty sure that's an intended function and not a glitch.

...Although they totally talk in this mod :P

If PC and followers are both down and enemies approach follower they will totally say the same line as the human aggressors like "I will take care of this girl here" or the likes. :lol:

I don't know how hard it would be to add onto defeat , but an option where you could convert enemies you raped into followers and if enemies could convert your followers to their faction if a certain mindbreak threshhold was reached.

 

Not just a magic spell but integration with the sexlab system.

I meant surrendering period. It does the dialogue and when the animations should start it CTD's. Triggering in combat causing a knocked down and defeat works just fine.

I have a question. When I try to use defeat with some custom followers the rape scene never triggers. The ones I have tried it with are Selene Kate and Sofia. No matter what I set the threshold at they just end up killing everything and no scene ever triggers. Does the pc need to be knocked down as well? I really have no idea how to fix it or even if they are compatible. Has anyone else had this problem and perchance, solved it? From reading the forum it seems as though two issues had been the equippable schlongs (which I do not have) and a lack of a potential follower faction code (which I tried adding with the console with no luck). Was there any other solutions?

 

(It works with Valja and a certain maid companion, so I know the mod works with some custom followers, just not the two mentioned above)

I use both Sofia and Selene, and the problem is that if they're killing everything before anything happens is that they're both pretty good individually but together there's really nothing that's gonna stop them as they both level with the player as well.

 

I made a plugin myself specifically to nerf them a bit and cap their level, but you can achieve a similar effect by using the setlevel command on them and setting a max level that makes them usable but not op. setlevel 1000 0 1 30 would set them to max level 30 for example.

 

But yes, they absolutely work fine with defeat so long as the enemies can stand a chance against them.

 

As for adding them to factions, you can add Kate to the PotentialFollowerFaction at rank 0 and the CurrentFollowerFaction at rank 255. I know my custom plugin does that, this may also help with defeat compatibility but I did that to add EFF compatibility. She can get the companion wheel and still keep her sandbox behavior.

I really like this mod. Especially in combination with the Devious Captured mod. But I got several issues in a row that made me unistall Defeat. 

 

First it took me ages to find out that the "Resist" option is bugged. If the player is robbed and "Resist" is off (because I don´t like the struggle bar) the controls get disabled and the only way out is to use Defeats clean up function. 

 

Then I ran into a problem with Loot. It placed Defeat way to high in the load order resulting in sex scenes not starting for what ever reason. 

 

The submit function does not work with animals. And with humans only if resist is turned on and it´s near the bottom of the load order. I guess I have to many scipt heavy mods running (meaning too many SexLab mods ^^').

 

But the one issue that really made me unistall it was the problem with not being able to save. At some random point into the game, after starting a fresh character, the game crashed every single time I tried to save. 

At first I thought that was an issue with Sands Of Time that trashed my other character, but as it turns out it was Defeat. After deinstalling and cleaning my save with the scriptremover from nexus everything kinda works again. At least for now. 

 

I will keep an eye on Defeat but for now I will stick with Submit. At least till the new version is more stable.

I have watched and tried this mod out since it was put up on this site. At first i had many problems with other mods  and uninstalled it and just got bored of Skyrim in general.  A few days ago got the itch to try and mess around with Skyrim again. So i instaled parts of S.T.E.P. as well as my few other favorites mods.  Installed framework this and a few other mods that were buggy as hell before.  Needless to say WOW. Not sure if it was just stupidity on my part(mostlikely the case) with load orders or conflicting mods, but everything runs great now. Granted i still get CTD's, but they are usually 7-8 hours apart from each other so not bad considering all of the heavy scripting mods i run.  Anyway just wanted to say thanks and keep up the awesome work on this mod.

I have updated the whole series of mod necessary for defeat.

 

Now the post rape scenario does not work proprely.

 

The enemies take turns end everything seems fine, but at the end the PG sits for 0,5seconds then stands immediately up with enemies attacking her immediately.

 

Should I make some changes in the menu?

 

Another thing i noticed is that if i Tie an enemy he stays in the bleedout animation, then if i Rob him he changes correctly in the tied position.

Those are debuffs which you can toggle in the MCM menu.

If you fixed your problem then ignore my message. try running the clean up in the mcm menu for defeat. that should fix the problem.

If the pc is defeated the QTE bar appears and the pc goes down, but if the attacker is then defeated (by a follower or conjured atronach) the pc then get up again but the QTE bar remains stuck on the screen and seems to get baked into the save. Reloading doesn't clear it and neither does turning resistance off.

 

So it looks like unless there's a way to fill the QTE bar it remains permanently on screen

the resist bar you mean? i had it come up on screen once and stayed there but normally i switch off resist. because im only going to kill them all once i get back up anyway, unless they are smart enough to dump me somewhere randomly while im unconscious.

in my last 2 games, one with DA and one without, both same result.

after rape nothing goes on, no Keyboard control. i have to press clean in mcm to continue. follower stays on the floor in bleedout Animation, i have to heal him to get up. no redressing works. with all Kind of enemies, wolves, bandits, skeletons.

Looks like the post assault prevents the Scene from finish. but how can there be a post assault with wolves and skeletons ? same for devious captured.

 

 do creatures react on post assault like robbery  ?  what does the only faction key do ? what are the faction Events ?

the mod does not work me
the victim is rendered and all that
but the violation does not materialize
it rises again like nothing
and the menu says defeat disabled and I can not activate it I click and nothing

If you fixed your problem then ignore my message. try running the clean up in the mcm menu for defeat. that should fix the problem.

 

 

Ive actually tried this and it didnt work. I uninstalled Defeat and reinstalled it and it seemed to have fixed. After a few failed attempts where the npc resisted, it went back to just saying "you did not successfully grab your victim". Ive never had this issue in the past. Really annoying

How can goubo call this a beta and works stable. it is essentially bugged and doesnt work at all. how can other mods like devious captures require such an unmod ?

 

again : after rape the pc sits down, then stands up and cant do anything, no Keyboard control. the reaper stands beneath and drinks a beer. only pressing clean in mcm continues the game. that happens ALWAYS .

 

 

Edit : i really wanted to know it. i deleted all mods, went back to vanilla skyrim. installed defeat and it s requirements, thats sexlab, fnis, skyui and skse, plus alternate start, run from the Woods to embershard mine, let me rape , and the final result was THE SAME.

 

now come on Goubo, i know you can better than that !!!

The problem I found switching off resist was that the player controls were locked at the end of the scene and the pc couldn't move or do anything
