grymsoul Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I have a problem. I've download all the required mods and they all seem to be working. . .except "Defeat" itself. I used FNIS to update but it never picks up the mod as one to activate. How do I fix this.

Last time that amounted to being picked off the floor and my PC having her head cut off, only to get violated by the NPC who was finishing his animation. More than often enough they also get stuck in the laughing loop, until I disable and enable the NPC who knocked me down. Yes I've done FNIS. Yes I've created a clean save and applied sexlabdefeat fresh. No I'm not running sexlab submit. No I'm not running Sanguine's debauchery.

Theoretically Defeat disables the player's controls, which causes enemies nearby to stop attacking because your avatar is no longer considered the 'player character' even though the camera is still attached, and SL controls pick up just fine, Defeat is disabling the base Skyrim controls. Theoretically this works, I guess not all the time though. @grymsoul This may seem counterintuitive, but SexLab and vanilla Skyrim have all the animations Defeat uses. Defeat includes no animations of its own, so it doesn't need to be recognized by FNIS. Only SexLab needs to be processed. Unless you're having a different problem, in which case please elaborate. @Ember Hart Never seen the laughing loop bug, so can't help you there. As I explained with Ganzlinger, Defeat disables the Skyrim controls so that enemies can no longer detect you. If another mod re-enables them, the enemies will locate you and resume the assault. Another mod could be triggering this, or you may have found some NPCs immune to that trick (though usually Defeat has other ways that I haven't yet figured out)

I'll see if I can rig something up that casts an invisible Kyne's Peace like effect when health hits under 10% for x minutes.

nutluck Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 SexlabUtili use to work with Defeat, if you had it cast calm before and after sex. I have not tried it in awhile though since I have not been playing Skyrim only testing mods and currently have Defeat turned off so I could more easily test other mods.

Whenever I successfully knock someone down, my only to options are revive and kill. I did get every option to appear just once but then I saw that the animations did not work either. The two characters just stand there naked. The facial expressions and the sound effects work but the actual animations don't work. I tried this several times with both male and female characters and tried tweaking every option in the MCM menu but it still never worked. Any help or info is greatly appreciated!

You must put away your weapons to get rob, rape, tie up, etc.
blindmankind Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 If you have your weapons sheathed when the animations start you will have full control of the camera but if you have them at the ready the game forces the camera into a single plane instead of allowing full rotation. wow, ill check that now me thanks

I don't know if I can fix this since the way it works but I'll see. Gonna improve this tie up system though, for now those handcuffs are simply a global function to limit at 10 tied up NPC at the same time but sometimes it seems to not restore a "handcuff" when a NPC free himself. EricCM Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hey everyone I'm having 2 small issues that I couldn't find a fix for when I checked around this thread. One is the handcuff problem that others seem to be having, I don't know how to get more and running the cleaner didn't help. I lose them when I tie someone up then another NPC kills them. The second is when there is NPC on NPC defeat animation other NPC's will still attack and kill those running the animations, but this doesn't happen when my character gets downed. I saw others suggested that it could be due to another combat mod, perhaps immersive patrols. I really want to keep this mod however. Thanks in advance.

valaria69 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I know that I am a newbie compared to most here but I do hope you are taking into consideration the new sexlab alpha coding... because the combo of the new FNIS and the new Sexlab do not work right with Defeat as it is now.... I put all the new stuff all on a complete new install of the game and the game refused to detect that I had defeat installed so I went back to the old FNIS and Sexlab and bam there is defeat... Sorry I love my defeat and would rather lose out on the new stuff that comes with the new FNIS as well as the new Sexlabs so until those 2 work with defeat I am sticking with the old because I will not play without defeat!!!!

We slowly getting there. Have you also been working on the hideout? Because if so that's a big workload, Kudos then. Also, I don't know much about Papyrus, does it support inlining or other forms of optimization to make scripts run faster?
