Slammer64 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Has anyone else been having problems with Submit and the new Zaz Animation pack? I'm getting a crash if I want to turn, say a bandit, in for a bounty right at the point it goes to equip then bindings.
barber525 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 i need help, i love this mod, and i like it way more than defeat. I have been having so much issue with the "you are still in combat". Basically it glitches on and off, and the NPC's pull their sword out, maybe hit me once, put it back in, and repeats, until something clicks and it finally works. i basically spam X (my surrender key) along with having auto surrender on at 100% life. Also, once im bound, it continues to flicker, and theyll hit me once, and put the sword back, and continues, and since my auto is at 100%, it goes through the process again. Its the only way for it to work for me, so therefore i cant just play, and let it happen. I searched all through these forums, i just dont know what the issue is. i have DD submit progressive on, but even with it turned off, the "you are still in combat" continues to flash on and off. pleeeease help meee
DonQuiWho Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 > dkatryl, Mod Author I'm no techie, but does any of the following maybe explain why some ppl think they are having 'glitches' with these mods, which might really be a feature of the 'sexlab forbidden faction' mentioned by Pinute, as opposed to 'mod' or 'setup' 'errors'? (the >hydragorgon comments come from my querying this on his 'Slavegirls ALPHA' mod thread) > Barber525, and all those ppl who are getting only intermittent success with 'Submit' and 'Submit+DD+Progression', maybe you could have a look at the following comments and see if it helps any of you make any sense of when they 'work' and when they don't? Having just spent about 4 hours yesterday testing these mods in a scenario where it would appear that they might never ever 'work', I can feel your pain and, if this is the cause, some of you may be suffering from similar issues ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pinute Posted Yesterday, 06:10 PM Senior Member Members 639 posts donkeywho, on 07 Apr 2014 - 11:17 PM, said: > hydragorgon Just a thought. This mod seems to work fine for me on the main part, and it adds a bit of fun scenery on an immersive wander along the highways and byways. I'd quite like to see how it evolves, especially if I could take ownership of, and then resell, or even better still, train and resell, the two legged merchandise Your comment in the mod summary notes about the factions, though, ie that 3/4 of the NPCs have factions, made me think twice about something I have just posted on the 'Submit' and 'Submit+Dev Dev+Progressive' mod threads, which I have copied below for ease of reference. It should be self explanatory. Would my problem maybe have been caused because I was fighting some of the 'factionless' 1/4 of your NPC population? Or might it be something else? The NPCs involved could be found just west(?) of Valtheim, coming down towards there, on the road from Whiterun. It would be interesting to know Spoiler I ran into this as well. If you look at it in tes5edit, there's quite a few that are in the sexlab forbidden faction, so no sex with them. Some slaves, adventurers, some have no vanilla faction. So, basically, most of these NPCs are off limits unless you want to change/add factions yourself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- FWIW, can I add tuppenceworth on the 'Submit doesn't work with the Hotkey or Auto Submit setting and it's all the fault of this mod, or that one' issue? I have just spent three or four hours going from Valtheim towards Dragonsreach, trying every combination of recent versions of the base 'Submit' mod and the 'Submit+Devious Devices' and 'Submit+Devious Devices progression' mods, with and withour follower, Lydia in this case I had innumerable punch-ups with a Slave Trader and his sidekick + intow slave, the first 'people' encountered on the way, all to no avail, where every combat ended in bleedout for the PC, or PC + follower, and no submit 'after effects', 'afterglow', or any other glow other than my glowering frown, regardless of wait a while, save and reload or anyother combo I could think of. Merely some happy sword waving on the part of the antagonists, and a 'Let's do this again sometime', or not, depending on what might well have been whether they were waving their swords clockwise or anti clockwise. Having got back to Submit 20JAN14 and Submit + Devious Devices Progression 1.41 again, I got to the point where I no longer cared, and set my PC off on the road to Whiterun. Then, on an attack by a nasty black horny wolf, and because my PC had been in as bad a mood as not to wait until their health built up, well, blow me down, or maybe that should be beat me down, everything kicked in and fired off as it should have, with no blanks either, at least not that I could see What it all seemed to boil down to was WHO was doing the attacking. I had been trying it out on the Slave Trader and his mates from what I assume was the 'Slavegirls' ALPHAS mod available here. Trying again with characters from OBIS and whichever mod that naughty wolf comes from worked fine, with both these mods in play. Even that pesky dragon that hides out on the mountain there swooped and had his wicked way So, the 'you are still in combat' and nothing otherwise untoward happens etc, well, to the extent that you expect the untoward to be initiated by the mod, it may be nothing to do with the mods and their compatibility, but rather who you are having your altercations with I CANNOT be absolutely sure that there is any racing certainty that guarantees this to be the cause of this sort of problem, but it may be worth checking by those who are having problems with getting anything working. This help anyone? Posted both here and on the Submit + Dev Dev + Progression mod as seems to be a common theme to both

(the >hydragorgon comments come from my querying this on his 'Slavegirls ALPHA' mod thread) [...] personally I have had the "you are still in combat" problem randomly with the same bunch of respawning bandits, meaning sometimes it was working ok, and sometimes it was not. I usually test on the bandit camp just north-west from Whiterun and these are, as far as I know, vanilla bandits. so, the problem may be related to faction, but clearly it's not the only cause. now, it may just be a feeling (ie. not backed by a serious analysis) but it seems when you trigger the submit at the exact moment none of your attacker are doing a move against you (meaning trying to hit you), the submit seems to work 100%. I will try to test that more carefully.

Then, once it's done loading, navigate (in the left window) to hydra_slavegirls.esp/non-player character. You'll see a long listing of the NPCs that hydra added. Click on one, and it's record will be in the right pane where you can see its factions (you may have to scroll down a bit).
Coopervane Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Submit doesen't rely on factions as i recall, but on agression level. Basically, all NPC's, regarless of faction, has a set disposition twords the player (always freindly, neutral unless attacked, allways hostile, that sort of thing), and it's this information Submit uses, not the faction they belong to. Dk could tell you more, but i don't think factions are likely to be the problem.
Lyman the Lunatic Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Oh I forgot to point out about how my char is killed from "Your wounds are mortal" Even if she actually has a health (full health even) the mod will kill her. If she's knocked down while running away DURING GRACE PERIOD, she'll die during sex.

Faction issues would come up when the sexlab call fails due to the sexlab forbidden faction, which would put you back into combat. Not saying this is the cause all the time, but for the one I was answering (some adventurers and slavers in hydra's slave girls mod) this is the cause.
D_ManXX2 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 So that is why lovers victim never trigger on those slave girls. Anyway making them vanilla faction should solve this issue right ??
DonQuiWho Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 So that is why lovers victim never trigger on those slave girls. Anyway making them vanilla faction should solve this issue right ?? Having reread the Slavegirl Mods intro, it states that: Slave Trader Caravans- This group has two different types. Thalmor and Regular. Both groups overlap to a certain extent. These slave traders are sanctioned by the various Jarl's and communities. These caravans are generally peaceful and respond cautiously to combat. They will protect their stock also. The ai packages are limited to their patrols, and the slaves are not sexlab capable. This was to keep the patrols consistent, until I can tune the conditions better. In the future I want to add a few cages and slave depots. The concern here is conflicting with other mods, such as Bathing Beauties Suite. I've also had a couple tricky situations with XPO in Falkreath, so I'm watching that...... It also states thatSlavegirls- The first and most basic group that I added. Slavegirls are all individually named and generally keep to one interior cell. Almost every Jarl has one, and some private citizens do too. They represent trained slaves, and have a little ai package freedom. These ai packages are based on the environment. In the future I want to diversify their behaviors, but at the moment I don't want to clutter up the mod too much. Slavegirls are sexlab capable, don't respawn, and have their own sleeping spots. Some will report you for crimes, others won't. This is kinda part of testing. In the future I want to give the slavegirls entertaining dialogue pertaining to their history. ...but the last comment on the thread over there, copied below, seems to imply different. I'm giving it all up for the moment on the grounds of utter incomprehensibility, and am off to take a chill pill and have a play of the game .... D_ManXX2 Posted Today, 06:22 PM Mega Poster Members 1,643 posts If this mod is not a sexlab mod then why has this mod been placed under sexlab ?? After opening this mod in ck all npc been placed in forbidden faction for sexlab ??? Any reason why this has happened ??
permidion Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 could the people suffering from the "you are still in combat" problem test something? a) when you make an encounter with bandits (or else), before submiting, kill all the archers using the console "kill" command, then try to submit b ) same as a), but this time kill all the non-archers tell me what results you get

Bullw Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I asked about faction since i use skyrim immersive creatures, was gonna check if there was some faction limitation (like vanilla only)... Here is one things though, might not be important but, i've noticed atleast 80% of the times submit fails (for me substantially more often with anything ells then human enemies), the hands in the air animation never happen, char just sheaths, and stands there. Though on few occasions it happens after hands have gone up and char has been beaten down, and again just stands there and sometimes combat won't even restart unless i attack. Don't really use much in terms of script heavy, but i am gonna try to disable what i got and see if it is due to script delay (i do however also get the still on combat often). Hoping a fix or source of problem is found, even with problems submit is definitely one of my favorits.
Zillier Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Not certain If this is an issue or not but after I am done been used I am able to escape and get a weapon from a dead bandit and kill the one that raped me but he only has my gold where did my stuff go?
astor Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I installed the recent version of zaz animations, now i tend to crash when, or soon after, "You attempt to surrender to your opponents." i've started a new game, registered zaz in mcm, and re-registered the sexlab animations, and i've run fnis. is there a step i'm forgetting?

If not post your FNIS text output here in a spoiler and papyrus log, maybe we will see something as to why that animation is causing a CTD.

Coopervane Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Faction issues would come up when the sexlab call fails due to the sexlab forbidden faction, which would put you back into combat. Not saying this is the cause all the time, but for the one I was answering (some adventurers and slavers in hydra's slave girls mod) this is the cause. It might come up with the rare modded NPC, but it's not the source of the problem at large as it happens with all vanilla NPC's. could the people suffering from the "you are still in combat" problem test something?a) when you make an encounter with bandits (or else), before submiting, kill all the archers using the console "kill" command, then try to submitb ) same as a), but this time kill all the non-archerstell me what results you get Nope, doesen't make any difference. I get the bug with any and all vanilla NPC's in any and all situations. Indoors, outdoors, multiple enemies, just one enemy, casters, fighters, archers, it makes no difference, i am still in combat regardless (even if i submit to the last living enemy of an underground dungeon, so there can't be anything else alive getting pinged inside the cell). As far as i can tell, it's not a range or type issue, the problem stems from something breaking the spells used by Submit, specificly the calm effects it's supposed to be applying to make NPC's return to their patrols after binding the player, and the calm effect that's supposed to be in place durring the escape grace-period. It's not getting applied right for whatever reason, or rather, it seems that it is succesfully cast, but then ends unexpectedly half a second later when it shoulden't (you can often see the enemy start to go back to their patrols, and then drawing weapon again and turning to face the player half a second later, so the spell was cast, took effect, but was then emediately terminated again), and that's where it all goes wrong. EDIT: This issue might not have anything to do with the NPC's at all come to think of it. It could just as easilly be the player that's breaking the chain, that effects that are supposed to be applied to the player are failing for whatever reason, and the NPC's are simply reacting to that. So we shoulden't stare ourselves blind on the NPC's, that's one possible failure point, but there is one more in the player.
permidion Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Nope, doesen't make any difference. damn, you are right, I tried again and it happened to me on a non-archer too. btw, when I kill a npc where I had the "you are still in combat" bug and resurrect it, it seems to reset his behaviour to "normal" (as in what we should expect) and I dont get the bug.
Coopervane Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 At this point, all i can reason is that it's a mod conflict, not everyone has the bug so it seems more likely that it's an external conflict rather than an internal problem with Submit itself. But i can't figgure out what is causing it or why. I'm not running any mods that makes changes to NPC's, AI, combat or spells, i'm playing a vanilla race, removing all other SL mods like Zaz, Aroused and DD makes no difference, and the rest i've got loaded are armors and minor game-fixes. I'm actually running a cleaner install than most people seem to do. EDIT: Nope, probably not. I just tried again, disabled basically everything, this is the entire load-order i went with: Skyrim.esm Update.esm Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp Dawnguard.esm Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp HearthFires.esm Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp Dragonborn.esm Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp SkyUI.esp SexLab.esm SexLab Submit.esp Skyrim Unbound.esp Tried twice, started with a female Dunmer, then another go as a female Nord, i was "still in combat!" both times. And no, Skyrim Unbound is not the source of the problem, it happens with a vanilla start aswell.
permidion Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 At this point, all i can reason is that it's a mod conflict, not everyone has the bug so it seems more likely that it's an external conflict rather than an internal problem with Submit itself. well, version 11JAN14 doesnt have that problem (but it's getting too old for some other mods depending on it, so ...)
