  1. Liked for two reasons - First, I'm was idly thinking of rebuilding an Oblivion playthrough but seeing how active this forum has been was interesting. Second, I've never seen a mod description that even approaches this clarity, which gives me hope that I can "climb that long hill" to a stable build.
  2. I've really enjoyed CS and have had a nearly flawless run - had to backtrack a couple times to learn "the system" but once I had seeing the Commonwealth from the Raider's perspective was quite the experience. Nearly flawless and a lot of fun, right up till near the end. I'm stuck on the Hero quest where Gristle sends you back to Lindstrom after choosing the third option. Lindstrom recycles his "What bug bit Gristle, go to sleep" dialogue, the go to sleep notification doesn't appear, and the bed's not usable. I poked around in xEdit and with getstage _CS_Hero found I was at 115. When I setstage 116 I got go the go to sleep notification, the bed's not usable (as it should be?) and The Harvester did start up. I'm gonna assume that all is ok and continue on I guess.
  3. No you are not crazy. Me, I look at the modular substitutes for some of your utilities and see a lot feature bloat there . What I do think is that a lot of people's memories have been broken by light plugins. Having a single mod capable of offering so much in a time where we merged plugins (hah!) or lived with less than 256 was a godsend. Especially when none of its issues are ever game breaking. Oh, and I though I'd add: Wartimes is just not to my taste but damn, I played it out to an ending just because the menus were so well conceived and your innovative mechanics just worked. Thanks for that one, too.
  4. The game feels like it's on my local machine with both services. Nvidia runs smooth as you'd expect and looks as great as you'd expect with a 4080. For Shadow, think very good cpu with about a 3070 gpu. As usual it's all about balancing gameplay, framerate, and appearance, but on the upside I've got access to MO2 and SFSE with DLSS which gives me a very acceptable mix. For me Shadow wins the overall title.
  5. "I really like their logo." "Kudos to the designer." Hey, I'm only 9 hours into the game, but this one tickled my fancy.
  6. If if you don't have a nice machine and you live in the right place (low latency) shadow.tech and nvidia are worth looking at if you can part with $20-$60/mo. When my PC blew up a couple years ago there wasn't a video card to be had for under a grand, so I tried out NVIDIA's cloud gaming. No modding of course but for $20/mo I played cyberpunk on high/ultra with ray tracing. Starfield's supposed to be there. I missed playing Skyrim and Fallout so about a year ago I switched to shadow.tech (a very regional service). For $60/mo I have 1.25TB fast storage, an EPYC processor, and a 24GB A5000 nvidia gpu. 8K and 4K textures everywhere, and I max out somewhere around 14GB used. What's great about those services is that they'll run on most any mac, pc, linux box, or even a raspberry pi. Anyway, those are a couple options for playing starfield if you can spare a bit of cash and don't have a strong rig.
  7. What I do is save, run showracemenu and go to the body, face, or feet textures menu page. I run through each added texture there and set to default. The culprit will be the one you set to default and the blue disappears (presuming there's only one. I reload the save, then remove the culprit first to be sure it's the only one.)
  8. I cooked up the attached a while back. I haven't looked at Immersive Jewelry in a long time so I'm not sure if those are still valid. I don't know about anyone else but I'm using 54 for custom mashups but can cope if you use it. Edit: This from LE days so it doesn't include 3BA slot usage. Slot Assignments.csv
  9. The mod of note using 59 is Devious Devices - that's the wrist slot. So if you're locked in cuffs and aren't seeing squirts that'd be the reason. 54 is the only slot that's not taken up by 3BA, toys, DD, cloaks or backpacks.
  10. I'm working on my Dyndolod setup and one of the errors it throws is a reference to non-existing zaz furniture in SD+. 0x85628, _SD_GibbetW04HandsBehind is placed in the grove and refers to ZaZ-UltimateDataPack\ZaZ - Obejcts Static\Gibbet\GibbetW04HandsBehind-Static.nif which is not in my SE ZaZ Animation Pack+ CBBE HDT V.8.0+SEREV3. Not an issue for LOD their summary says, and I haven't noticed a problem in multiple visits to the grove but I figured I'd mention it.
  11. Oh my god. Thank you very much for looking at this again. Loved the mod, and, to be honest, much of my early education on bug evasion I learned from CD The story was worth every second.
  12. I'm sorry, I said 14 when I should have said 7. What I was talking about (should have shown as below, and if I had wouldn't have made that mistake) is: The skin tone in Tirk is what I deleted.
  13. I played the 1.5 version to the kamakazi end and loved every minute, even the exploding trash piles. I'll definitely replay for 1.6.
  14. I finally found my first mod (Crash Log Tools) that's AE only that would might be worth upgrading for. Which is why I googled this morning looking for posts a week or less old, and found this perfect topic. I've been modding a long time and the only reason I left LE, finally, was stability. And tools. Giving up the better ENB was hard, but SE is simply a better modding environment and all your LE skills will transfer and be easier to use. The one thing that's truly different with between LE and SE/AE are the newer low level Skyrim engine programmer's tools available. That's led to some truly fine dynamic animation replacement, item replacement, and on the fly patching of load orders. Whether you go AE or SE, I'd recommend looking at mature mod lists for the newer MO and mod tools setup first. I started this build shortly after AE and because there were a few DLLs I wanted that weren't transferred yet I stuck with SE. I used Lexy's but there are others. But modders will tire of maintaining two versions so I'm now mucking about with building an AE one on the side.
  15. Thanks for this. This was the first time I ever had an issue with HSH's mcm and I've been tearing my hair out. For future reference the above advice worked for me AS LONG AS Public Whore was loaded after HSH.
