SmedleyDButler Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 Though in the case of the Bretons, IIRC it's what happens if the interbreeding happens continually over an entire population on the long term. So like, half-races are canon possible, they just only happen on a quasi-evolutionary timeframe. Even the default "The child will look like the mother." usually has a caveat that the child may have some small traits from their father, like eye colour or something.

Sooo, Interbreeding as in, having Children throughout generations with only an Elven Race made the Bretons Bretons? Or was it more like Sweet Home Alabama? ?

Some are just weird me out. ) And changing the Height of Npcs in 3 minutes in SSEDIT can't be considered more then mildly inconvenient. But i've done that now for.. 20 Followers and Replacers. Why does everyone think making Certain npc´s smaller then vanilla is a good thing ? Yeah i know, Gukahn stop bitching, be grateful you can choose between replacers and Followers to a point were it is getting ridiculous of how many there are and the only thing your lazy ass has to do is changing 2 digits, but still.. Määääh ? I don't know if this would help or not, for LE. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/105707

Another problem is: Those mods tend to fuck things up so i stay with my own Edits for those Followers. Regardless, thank you again ?
zproD Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 What pisses me off is magic. For the first 10 levels its not too bad, then it falls off hard until you have OP gear to give you infinite casts, then it feels cheap and boring. Most mods I've tried just make it worse by giving you spells which are just way too strong. Plus it is weird that you just eat a book to learn spells. Screw magic, magic sucks. Also I want to hit Farengar with a blunt object every single time he asks me if I wish to dishcush the ongoing hoshtilities, like the rest of the great warriors. 4

Luckily, people have made mods to make magic a bit better than vanilla. Spell Research or Better Spell Learning help with the widespread consumption of spell books. (Tough times in Skyrim that they're eating paper and leather) And for the full effect No Spell Tomes as Loot or From Vendors combined with Spell Research makes it so spells are learned through research and not books. I personally use Full Magic Scaling so that magic scales with my level and perks so they don't end up useless mid playthrough. There's probably some more mods that help, but these are the ones that I know of. Also, they're for LE but I think Spell Research has an SE version. Also, I too dislike Farengar every time he says that. Even more so when he suggests joining the college of winterhold to my archmage. ?

Everything in this game is simplified for the mass amount of people they want to cater to. RPGs used to be for RPG enthusiasts. It wasn't for your typical casual gamer. Too much thinking, reading and problem solving for them. That's why everything is pretty much handed to you with little to no effort. Nothing in this game (for me) feels like an accomplishment. Nothing. Edited June 26, 2022 by 3G4

This is why I keep Maelstrom and Hel Rising in my load order because they are the one of the few quests that actually make you think. 1

Funny enough.. Bretons are exactly that. Half Elves ? Elder Scroll lore is weird Nothing weird about it. The first Breton was a literal D/Aedric abomination, so any child born to the mother of such will be the same, unless the Hist turns you into something else or it's a super rare phase of the moon and you live in a particular desert. SmedleyDButler Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 I must be the only one who doesn't hate Farengar, lol. Maybe because I just don't interact with him much. 1

I have to confess that I have absolutely no idea what you're referring to here, much less what it has to do with Balgruuf's court wizzerd. ?♀️
