No, my CTD happens earlier, in Markarth, before giving Paul the schaemaitcs.
I hope I don't spoiler too much with the screenshot, that shows where I CTD.
I may be totally wrong with my guess that this may be related to the hidden quest.
But as said, if I disable bac.esp and go there I do not CTD. Hence my guess that with BAC something might be happening there...

I haven't been able to make it past where the head would have changed (at least I don't think I have).  But, where would I place these in order to try them if I do run into this issue?

Still not able to get past the unowned/hammerheart stage with Paul.   I talked to Paul.  After it said to take a seat, the chair did not spawn, so I spawned in the chair as suggested earlier and took a seat, but the quest(s) never proceed.

Only Quest stage set is 30 - all other stages are 0.

after activating the furniture, you need to talk to Paul again (same topic).

That has nothing to do with the randomizer. You are blocked because Autosave or some script mixup preempted the reequip process at stage 7 and it didn't complete. There's a faction bac_reequipping xx09fc9d (xx = load order # of BAC). Try removing yourself from that faction in the console (player.removefromfaction ...)

Since you mentioned that it's a talking activator that you added at that spot...
I remembered I have another mod installed (Shout Like a Virgin) that has also added an activator close to that spot.
Could this be a conflict and the reason for my CTD?

 

So what happens to me is:
I stand in front of the spot, I look down and move forward.
First I see the activator from Shout Like a Virgin. [Clicking Activate would teleport me away, as part of that mod.]
I move forward a little bit, then I see the activator from the Skyrim vanilla quest. [Clicking Activate does nothing cos the vanilla quest is finished.]
I move forward to the center of the spot and I CTD.
(I do not see any other activator from BAC, nor anything else added by BAC in that place around.)

after enabling the furniture and before taking a seat, talk to Paul again. Make sure, you have the correct furniture enabled for the item you're supposed to get.

Did you get those as punishment? There's quest "The owner's grace" that should start at some point allowing you to go to Paul and let him remove it.

Ahh... I didn't even think to talk to Paul after spawning the furniture. I'll try it again when I get home tonight.  Thanks!

I was wondering what triggers the different stages for the ring, bell, etc. on the unowned quest? Should those quest stages trigger before or after Paul and the character get to the different furnitures for each stage?  I've just been thinking about it in my downtime at work.

There are 3 quests involved. bac_unowned sets the base setting and hands the actual attachment of items to bac_blacksmith while bac_huntersgonnahunt determines which item you should get next.

I have made a revised draft of the in-between hooves (between Tip-toe and final hoof). These are 2 stages compared to the current one stage (The foot in a plastic cup, as Botticelli called it). Is it possible to cram in one more stage before final hoof @botticelli? Otherwise, lets just go with the Stage 1.

Stage 1 was really fun to work on, and it has given me some ideas on how to tackle the hand hooves (maybe). Stage 2 was a bit tricky as I had to distort the foot mesh almost to the limit to be able to  move the index and Pinky to the back of the foot.

Sadly, I went back through, started the Ring item with Paul.  Spawned the chair, talked to Paul ( Paul had the "Why Must I be Tied up" and "Why is there a crowd" options for dialog.  I went through those options, went back to the chair, and Paul walked off down the road, and finally timed out.

 

Any other suggestions?

Before you sit down in the chair, go to Paul and open the command window with "~". Then click on Paul to get his Character ID (Click on him a few times to make sure its the same ID). Then sit in the chair. Open the command window has type moveto.player and hit enter. Close the command window. He will spawn on top of you walk off for a second and then walk back towards you triggering the cutscene and completing the quest. That is how I have always solved that issue.
