I think a popup before it starts is more useful, because then player the avoids the negative effects if successful. For combat rape, a strength check option, agility check option, and a 'submit' option that turns the rapist (and allies?) neutral (if that's even possible) seem cool. One problem with combat rape right now is that it is usually certain death if several enemies are around. Even with KO turned off, without armor you will get wasted before regaining control, especially because your health is probably already low. Is it possible to give the player a temporary armor buff? Or the submit option that turns hostiles neutral could be a solution for multiple enemies.

 

For stalkers, could a popup be added once they 'catch' you that gives the option to resist (str. check), evade (int. check), or submit (treats it as consensual to avoid theft/equip dmg or negative rape effects from Lust)? Another idea for smart stalkers is a check for nearby NPCs with humans/ghouls so it doesn't trigger if the area is crowded.

 

Thanks for the work on this plugin. The "smart" options are a great idea and make it practical for enhancing the basic game.

I really like this

 


 

This makes the most sense to me. If your character is a super tough badass fighting some weak thug with a pipe, you should beable to prevent the attack from happening rather than getting raped and then fighting them off. The options could be:

 

[Punch them in the crotch]: Your Strength vs Their Endurance

[step to the side and trip them]: Your Agility vs Their Agility

[Poke them in the eye]: Your Perception vs Their Agility

[Cover your eyes with you hands]:Luck maybe?

[Give up]: An option to just get attacked for those of us with masochist characters

 

 

edit: broken limbs and head damage and health could also play a huge factor in any of the choices you pick

 

 

 

Also, maybe each attacker could be approaching you differently. For example:

 

Popup: *Steve is about to club you in the head with a pipe so he can rape you*

        Option 1: Dodge the attack [Agility check]

        Option 2: Punch Steve in the dick [strength Check -20% success chance] (because punching him doesn't mean he wont still attack you)

        Option 3: Smile and wave at Steve [Charisma Check - 40% success chance] (because this is silly, but hey, it might throw him off)

 

The best option for not getting raped would be the agility route for this specific type of attack, but the other options are there for people who don't have high enough agility but maybe they have other qualities that would be better used. There could be other types of attacks too like "Steve holds a gun to you and tells you to bend over" or "Steve grabs you from behind" etc etc all with different options based on how the potential rapist approaches you.

 

 

For the same reasons, you could really tailor your response to the type of character you are playing, and what you perceive is happening.

 

Would it be too much to it initiate with a beginning popup of options, like the second set, then  have a key you could press after it had started, and would give you a pop up menu like the first one mentioned?   

 

If  a keypress is used, I think it makes most sense to share it with the Lust one.

 

 

Also, I think you are right on with the smart rape thing, good work.

I think the increased chances of dying after getting combat raped is just good the way it should be. After all, combat rape involves having fun with your adversary before putting them out of their misery. Perhaps you should just do your best to prevent yourself from getting combat raped in certain situations or set the SexoutNG settings such that your PC gets redressed after getting raped (by default, it is set to not redress the player), so that you'll get your armor back (if you have any) once you get up.

Struggle button would probably be best.  Honestly it would get more dramatic for thsoe with pregnancy when/if Hal get ejaculation at the end of sex/at orgasm rather then the beginning....right now pulling out and struggling only does so much that way (I think, not messed with it)

 

Currently Semen always happens at the end of sex, not sure if ending sex early causes that to trigger though, perhaps it does. I really need to trigger semen from Lust but that makes Lust needed as a master for that to happen. I may look down that path eventually once I get stuff sorted.

Hi, about the theme rape=kill i was thinking some mecanic ( if is makeable ) like use Arwens´s realistic tweaks. She tweals add fatige damage to the wepaons so the courier can passout without die. Yesterday my courier was try of enter for first time to Primm and found 2 excaped convict like was alone and with tweaks she blackout and mean while was backout the convicts left she alone. That happend many times even one the courier was combat raped but like after of rape sjhe blackout was left alone, when wakeup run naked for safe, when i see the place where she was raped was empty she go get she stuff, wait mainwhile heal and back for kill the bandit once for all. I dont know if  is game mecanic whch passout stop attrack or is the Arwens´ tweaks but that could good solution, for immertion the courier can blackout and left alone because think is death. Add some comsecuensies like someone say before and let no rape=death.

 

About key or menu for resist i prefer menu, in fact like the idea of Pkatt. Both any is good for me.

Currently Semen always happens at the end of sex, not sure if ending sex early causes that to trigger though, perhaps it does. I really need to trigger semen from Lust but that makes Lust needed as a master for that to happen. I may look down that path eventually once I get stuff sorted.

About defending from rape. why not using the unarmed skill (or the melee skill if you want it to be considered an attack on the person and you have a melee weapon equipped (maybe even if you haven't drawn the weapon)) for defending against the rape. Opposed by the enemies unarmed or melee skill (maybe depending on what faction the opponent is part of and your relation with them). Some factions may consider all opposition to the rape as hostile (legion comes to mind).

Alright, was giving peeps time to weigh in on the defense issue. Not to mention giving folks time to find any more bugs, before I move to far ahead. Looks like Pop-up is the way to go (easier too :) )

 

Been working on the Smart System and putting some tweaks on it, and then I'll put this defend option in, have a new beta up in a a couple days.

I have been having a CTD issue with current version, and previous versions. Using latest SCR.

 

Last time:

 

Combat settings: smart off, high chances for player/companion, no faction/karma etc settings

 

Stalker: smart on, 21% chance 25% sleep chance

 

I went to Mojave outpost and was stalked succesfully by a prospector, I then left to ant road and came back later. It is Day Time. I recieve no stalker warnings, but when I get near to gate to the buildings and two NCR troops (nothing special in their inventories) the game CTDs. Tested three times including with all stalker MCM options disabled, always CTD. Disabled mod- no crash, then entered building, saved then reloaded game with mod reenabled with original settings, when I leave building and return to same point it CTDs again. Disabled tryout NCR and working girl mods- still CTDs.

 

Disabled mod again- Fixed. Travelled to Doc Mitchel's house and waited 72 hours. Saved, then re-enabled mod.

 

-With default settings, returned to crash site- it is now Night time and NPC positions have changed. No crash. Retried with original settings. No crash.

 

- Repeated both tests during Day time- NPC positions are similar to original tests. Crashes with original settings but not defaults.

 

- I now try same test above but with all default settings except for random rape: Both 30%, smart on, exterior only off, player + companions on. No crash.

 

- I repeat as above but this time enabled general: all creatures, equipment drop and damage, and combat rape settings: all chances high, for player and companions, smart off. This time it crashes again.

 

- [Test X] I repeat as above but with default settings except all combat ones, which are set to enabled/maxed except smart which is disabled. CTD again.

 

- [Test Y] I repeat as above with all settings defaulted. No CTD

 

Update:

 

- I repeat Test Y this time Debug on. No CTD again, console has loads of 'combat rape disabled for char X' messages, and I get one that says 'GetVATSvalue 6,15 -> 0

 

- I repeat test X with debug, console messages 'combat rape enabled for Boone... Cass... Veronica', loads of 'Sexout Assault CR: B1.1' up to the second before the crash (got lucky with timing). The GetVATSValue message didn't happen this time.. though I'm guessing its not relevant

 

Update 2:

 

- I repeat test X with all sexout mods disabled except Sexout, SCR, Assault, Slavery, Legion, Tryout-Powder-Gangers and Tryout-PG Kennel. CTD again. (Disabling the Kennel mod crashes my game on load for some reason and has the irrelevant dependencies)

 

- Game does not crash with all my original (first time) settings except combat rate rape = 0%

My conclusion: I did not retest identical settings multiple times (except first which I did 3 times), so some random variables are possibly significant, but since multiple tests were similar I do not think this is the issue. It is interesting that the issue did not happen the first time I visited the outpost, but I did a clean save in Doc Mitchell's house, waited 72 hours, and reenabled and problem was not solved.

 

Problem seemingly happened only during day time, though it may be NPC positions that are significant. Stalkers seems the obvious culprit but tests suggest otherwise. There is no combat going on, but it is the combat settings that appear to cause the problem

 

Its a new game, so I have done very little in game and can't think of anything significant. I do have a lot of mods but I can't think of any that might be significant (I do not have Brutal Rapers).

 

I had a similar issue in previous games and versions in Goodsprings, and a couple of other places. Disabling mod fixed.

 

I know this post is fairly long winded, but hopefully its thorough enough to be useful. I like the mod a lot.. glad I'm not the one maintaining something so ambitious ;)

I've experienced crashes with this activated. In addition to seemingly random crashes in general, I've had two consistent crashes: First at the REPCONN basement, every time a combat rape occured with the nightkin my game crashed. Second at the HELIOS ONE site, every time I tried to exit the main building my game crashed, I tried all the exits and loaded previous saves but each time it crashed when exiting the building, only disabling this mod allowed me to leave.

 

Also, combat rape doesn't seem to respect the gender settings. My female character got jumped by female Vipers multiple times despite having lesbian sex off in the settings.

 

My settings:

 

Random rape at 10%, Smart Stalking ON, only the player enabled as a potential victim, exterior only ON.

Combat rape health threshold 50%, chance at 20%, Smart Rape ON.

Using the latest version with SCR as master.

This here tells me that you're either not using the latest version, or the clean save didn't work. Those messages for combat enabled/disabled were removed completely from the code as I didn't like them flooding the console. And the CR: B1.1 wont show up unless your wearing power armor in the latest version, and its actually a B1.1.1 now. The previous version had crash issues with stalkers and combat rape due to delay issues. (And I just downloaded the ones I have posted in the OP to double check the code, and sure enough those debug messages don't exist anymore)

I'll look into the nightkin issues, as for the accidental lesbian, I probably goofed something when putting the toy code in as I redid the gay/lesbian checks at the same time.

You are correct, I d/led new one and forgot to actually put it in data (perhaps you could print version on mod load to stop fools like me confusing themselves)

 

However

 

The bug is exactly the same in the current version, as test X, clean save. Except the console messages (a second or two before crash) are as seen in screenshot

B2.2 is the beginning of the scanner for a npc, the 2.2's with the dash are the reason the npc didn't pass as a rapist. I have the checks broke up into multiple parts due to the Nested quirkiness, so that's why some get more than one fail.

 

Were you actually in combat though at the time? Cause really it shouldn't have got past the B1.2 code which is the Health Check.

There was no combat at the time as far as I can tell. On the first visit to outpost (before crashes started) I fought scorpions at gas station on way.  I then left and killed ants in road for the quest, and no enemies were left as far as I could tell (combat music stopped), though its possible something was out of sight. I fast travelled back to Outpost and it shortly crashed.

 

Then after I disabled mod I fast travelled to Doc Mitchell's house, waited 72 hours, reloaded with plugin (so from clean save) and fast travelled back to Mojave Outpost for same crashes, again no combat as far as I can tell. With mod disabled I was able to run all round outpost and never encountered any.

 

I have kept the savegame, and am happy to try anything else if you'd like.

Yeah i can confirm some of these CTD's, went back to the old Brutal Rapers after getting them several times ( This mod is a BETA after all )

 

Confirmed CTDs for me :

 

Nightkin in Repconn will CTD when combat rape initiates , and probably supermutants in general all over the Mojave will probably CTD when combat rape initiates

 

Spore Plants ( not the Carriers ) will CTD when combat rape initiates.

 

 

I honestly wish Bethesda had more error reporting in their games when they crash. I remember back in the day when a game crashed it usually gave a popup with some code or what the problem was.

 

 

Confirmed working:

Spore Carrier

 

Unsure if works:

Deathclaw

 

Centaur

 

Gecko

..And any other creature i fail to remember. Or at least the redundant ones which really don't have any animations ( I'm looking at you, Rat, mantis and scorpion )

I'd just like to ask is there something i'm doing wrong? I've ajdusted the load order and it indicates that the mod is working (sex assault) but when i click it in MCM its blank there's no drop menu like with the others. And I know i've done everything right and have the right versions of everything.

Sometimes MCM goes a bit gabonky for no reason, only way to fix is to completely exit then reload the game.

Rearranging the load order of your mods will probably fix it (of ones where order doesnt matter). I've found certain orders screw it up.. Working Girl for example needed to be at end

Thanks for the reports, exactly what I needed. I've put further expansion of the mod on hold and went back to this release to clean it up.

 

@BiotBioticSwarm - MCM is really picky about its load order sometimes, especially if you've already got a game going with one order and then rearrange the .esps The best way to rearrange the ESP's for an active game with MCM screw ups is to uncheck those mods that will have their load order changed, load the game, save it, then rearrange the esps, activate them and then load the previous save.

 

@Odessa - I ran my test character to the outpost and ran around for about 20-30 minutes, I can't seem to reproduce any crashes. I was wondering if you could do a 30 day wait to reset the actors (i think its 30 days anyways, might only be 20) I'm wondering if its perhaps something on those actors that didn't clear with the clean save. The previous crashes this mod caused were from making to many calls to Sexout and placing actors as used when they shouldn't be. If it helps, incase you didn't know, if you open the Console while waiting it speeds up the wait process.

Okay, I waited about 40 days in Doc Mitchells House and retried. Did not fix.

 

I have encountered what I believe to be the same bug in Novac and Viper nest near Nipton- but as before only the second time I visit them.

I've found with my mod that sometimes the Geck gets in a mood and does illogical things like misevaluate conditional functions, and also that 'dispel' doesnt seem to always work. Not sure what causes this... or if its relevant.

I cannot say for certain, and I don't know the ins and outs of your script so it might break something else but:

 

Adding to SexAssaultCombatRapeScript:

At the start of the scripteffectupdate stops crashes when I visit the Outpost or Viper nest.

 

Combat rape still works, although sometimes at outpost it seemed to crash when the actual act was about to start, did not seem to be relevant to NPC but may be original issue

I used to have a combat check in the scripts, the problem was that the animations when they end take you out of combat and ruined the Chaingang effect I was working on. Suppose if its a choice between CTD's and a more realistic chaingang effect... Guess I'll put the original code back in :) The MainQuestScript used to check for combat before even casting the rape effect and removed it if out of combat, its the "toggle" like function I got rid of I think two updates ago, I'll put it back in for the next update.

 

Your testing does lead me to believe that something is getting through the scanner that shouldn't be, and that's causing the crash.
