I think it does suit him, it's just funny to see, is all.

I seriously doubt Collodi was into that

Why? Have you ever read the book? Do you know anything about the subjects of metaphysics, allegory, yoga or alchemy? I have and I do. You 'seriously doubt' based on nothing but prejudice and ignorance. I seriously affirm based on 20 years or so of study.

I'll def be watching on day one! I love everything Witcher-related. The books are so good, the games were fun, and the show's first episode was a great start.

Agreed on all counts, but I don't know if I'll have the time.  Busy on another big mod atm.

And if everything will work out right, I'm done with my work for this year at the 15th and have enough time for the important things in life :classic_happy:

As I mentioned in another thread: I don't stream. Not amazon, not Netflix or any of the others who want monthly pay - even if I don't use it.

Action plan: go in a crazy rush build of a video filter with AI that applies nudes bodies to all characters adding big tits. Then watch it all in a weekend.

And then blame it because the size of the tits was not like what was described in the <place here something that is not relevant but may looks like relevant>.

Henry Cavill is great as Geralt imo. Shoot I think all the actors/actresse's they chose for each character was perfect again imo. Can't wait for season 3.

speaking of which one of my favorite actresse's Michelle Yeoh is coming to the witcher. She is doing a origin story for one of the very first witchers

Season 2 is more on point in regards to the stories they adapted but you can already see some trends starting to form, the Witches have way more onscreen presence then they did in the books, which is actually more like the games. It's not necessarily a bad thing to see the politics being formed onscreen rather than seeing the effects of their pronouncements, but it still makes for padding.

It's also clear they're gonna try for that seven season mark, because hardly any forward momentum occurs other than Ciri learns how to not explode the earth and not much else. I am all for worldbuilding so when the shit hits the fan you know exactly what's going on, but they are riding a pretty narrow precipice between worldbuilding to educate and drowning the viewer in politics.

The wokeness has been dialed back quite a bit which is good, and Sorceresses are actually showing that they're just as huge assholes as everyone else, hopefully that trend continues. The pacing still needs work though and the double trend of people being dumb as fuck to context and events and the whole "dramatic change of heart" every episode shit needs to go away. This is was not even present in the books at all and both of those tools are used exclusively in drama programs meant for women, shows in which the stakes are "now i feel bad" (til next week when they "fix" the 100% artificial problem) and "oh noes you hurted my feelings forever", the world of witcher doesn't have those stakes, the stakes are you fucked up and now you're not going to die, you're already fucking dead, post-haste. Get that CW shit out of here; case in point being Triss. She's the go to girl for fixing macguffin problems in the show but in any other area she's as dumb as a fucking doorknob lost in a donkey's butt. Like retardation level clueless.

In every other material thereof Triss certainly plays dumb to get what she wants but she's been around the block and know exactly how shit works in power circles better than Yenn could ever dream of.  She was always the rapier to Yenn's hammer, and here she's just a sack of hammers. If this is being done to clue the audience how politics work, it's a crap implementation.

There also wasn't much Witchering for a season with 15 witchers in it. It's still good stuff, but they need to find a better balance on what makes the witcher a decent demographic pull in the first place.

Do we have a date for S3 yet?

What Google says about that:

Since season 1 came out in Dec. 2019, and season 2 followed exactly two years later, we may be looking at a December 2023 release date. Although Netflix officially announced season 3 back in Sept. 2021, pre-production didn't begin until January 2022, according to Redanian Intelligence.Feb 18, 2022

Thanks. I've got the wrong series, I was thinking of Wheel of Time which I had a look for but found nothing. I have something about March 2022 in my head from somewhere.

I enjoyed season 1 and thought season 2 was boring, boring, boring.  Story wasn't engaging, hardly any fights, very few monsters, no boobs, no banging.  Why bother?
