I'm guessing they REALLY want people to start using that download analyzer of theirs... I can usually bank on which places will take a while to download from, I can count them on one hand (3dm and A&K being a couple of very few); Nexus is starting to get rediculious.

I don't want to use it, either. Even if at this moment getting a 12mb hair mod on a weekend like this is as good as fucking molasses.

I don't trust it. I'm not even coming close to downloading it. I don't even have NMM on my computer anymore (helped along by needing a new hd after mine died.) It's way too sheisty if you ask me. People who have paid money are getting better download speeds than everyone who hasn't paid? So not in the spirit of the modding community as a whole if you ask me.

Probably one of those files responsible for the overall layout of the site got borked. Have you tried to clean up the browser cache?

EDIT: site's down again. MFW.

Heh.

Lmao'd for real when I saw this one :P. I really kinda think he wanted to be banned. Looked like he was tryin' to go out with a bang. ^_^

'Banned from Nexus' thread is gone (unsurprising), so this is where I'm posting it. ;)

What is it with funny posts that make me almost shoot hot cocoa through my nose? Shit seriously hurts!

Just had a look on nexus and the pictures of the first two hot files have got snakes on them. The tembtra armour has "snake trap" boxes all over it, and the new perk mod's picture has been taken over by a drawing of "Snakey, the hot-files snake." ?

Anyone else see something weird on the nexus hotfiles. Two in particular...? They didn't have that extra... stuff on their hotfile images a few hours ago and their pages look fine... Did nexus get hacked again?

You see it too!!! I thought I was losing my mind. (perfect timing btw)

It's really weird, and of course there's nothing on the nexus forums. Now I'm going to have to deep scan all of those packs I pulled off of there today... Damnit.

No, and the perkus maximus wasn't like that either this morning. (er, yesterday) when I was checking it out. Seems like the file pages are ok but that's seriously freaky.

Paranoid much? They just replaced the images with snakes because they'd been in hotfiles for a while, in the armor's case. I don't know why snakes but I didn't really think much of it.

It's not paranoia it's curiosity because something obviously happened.

They've never replaced hot file images with something else. If that's a moderators idea of a joke they're more fucked up than we give them credit for.

And now I see where at least nsk13 states s/he changed it.

*sigh*  Nexus has had its CP panel hacked before.  Nexus has had its data base hacked before.  People have downloaded mods from Nexus and had viruses installed on their computers before.  Being CAREFUL and scanning downloads from any site is a prudent option.  Scanning anything downloaded from Nexus is simply a wise thing to do...because they get hacked...a lot.

Routine scanning of anything from anywhere off the Internet is advisable, regardless of the source, to anyone who does not think so, you and your PC are on barrowed time and you will get hacked or infected. Please use some common sense folks, the Internet is not a safe place as a whole, I have customers call me daily with viruses and other security issues due to sites that normally are no problem. Yahoo for example is using "push" technology with their adds now trying to force people with Windows 8-8.1 to install a known spyware driver update program. I had a customer who's PC I just fixed with this happening to her as soon as she went on Yahoo.

Yeah I get that. But this was images changing to have snake references. Knowing T3nd0's sense of  humor it didn't really strike me as odd, and I figured the other guy just went along, or the other way around. I just don't see some guy wanting to hax bothering with changing images to snakes. Flying animated dicks? Sure.
