Jerbsinator Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 It's painful how stupid Microsoft is, I think that "If you don't have internet stick with 360" is the final nail in the coffin. What a STUPID thing to say, I could hardly believe that that was even true, that they would stoop that low. I have never been a supporter of Sony, but I am rooting for them right now. I may buy a pS4....someday, but no interest right now, just hoping that they bury Microsoft. I hope Nintendo does well to, at least well enough to get to next gen and make a beefy console for once.
geonosis Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 i dont belive it i dont want to belive it BUT its true!!!! Micro$oft youve done it......... Xbone is restricted to only 21 countries. anyone else think they are lost in madness ?
Guest Lehshara Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Xbox one is the biggest fail of this year. They are already dead because of their 24h internet access requirement. Oh did I forgot to mention this: CLICK ME Another bullet to the knee, Microsoft.

At this point I'm debating switching my method of acquiring the sustenance my body needs to survive from food to xbox one drama and mishaps. Because this is just so damn delicious.
Veta Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Here is a poetic description of how microsoft would be if they were a restaurant .
Guest Lehshara Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Here is a poetic description of how microsoft would be if they were a restaurant . My new personal favorite.
leddis3 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 You remember the whole "599 US DOLLARS! RIIIDGE RACER! GIANT ENEMY CRAB!" thing? I never thought a new console presentation could get more embarrassing than that. Kudos to Microsoft in leading the gaming industry in finding innovative new ways to shoot themselves in the foot.
Veta Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 People keep saying microsoft shot themselves in the foot it seemed to me more like they shot themselves in the face... with a shotgun .
SomeOtherGuy Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I was expecting Microsoft or possibly Sony to do something like this sometime in the next decade or so juding by how games have been becoming more about profit and less about creativity, but RIGHT NOW?! Even the people who would've put up with this sort of bullshit after getting eased into it are likely to flip out after getting it dropped right away without any real warning. Honestly the only people who I see buying the Xbox One are people who don't know anything about it, but even then you'd have to be some rich-ass old lady to buy one for your grandchildren.

I think it's a combination of greed, pressure from the bloated fatcats like EA and the possibility that Sony deliberately misled them into thinking they were going to do the same thing, such as when they filed that block used game tech patent. I don't know for sure if that's the case, but if it is then Sony executed a masterstroke and Microsoft was stupid enough to fall for it.

Astaroth-Lite Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 I will say I am looking forward to using the Xbox One controllers on my PC, at least.
Veta Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Wow ! Microsoft exec came out and said that they listened to all the feedback and have decided to remove the online requirement and also drop any form of DRM completely link !

Airock Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 LOL,.....honestly im glad to see how far software and hardware developers are going to turn games into a service. At least their attempts to control the hardware/software after you buy it are obvious now. I imagine most consumers will still buy it,...the young kids,...and the adults who love halo, COD, GOW, ect. ( the vast majority ) To anyone with an above average understanding of computer technology will likely pass on this though,....(hopefully realizing that this is no longer a cheap version of a $1-2k gaming rig, but a media box controlled by microsoft to a ridiculous degree) Doesn't mean a thing to me though,.....if they start to get stingy with windows though,....we'll have a problem. If this be the case in the future,....programmers unite and lets create a freeware open-source OS capable of running windows, mac, and linux programs.
leddis3 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Is it possible someone with an actual brain at Microsoft still exists? http://news.cnet.com/8301-10805_3-57590134-75/microsoft-pulls-a-180-rescinds-xbox-one-connection-mandate/ http://www.ign.com/blogs/notoriousphilz2/2013/06/19/xbox-one-drops-drm (no rickroll!)
Something Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Apparently. First impressions are extremely important and i'm still disappointed that MS didn't figure that out before it was too late. That said, in light of these new changes I actually might consider buying an Xboned at some point in the future.
Astaroth-Lite Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 So there is a chance that I may actually get to play Crimson Dragon! Not day one, though; I'm going to need a price drop first.
windpl Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 lol and I read today that xboxone games will be region(country) locked.
Guest Lehshara Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 So, Microsoft "removes" Online DRM from Xbox One... allows you to borrow your games /w play them anywhere - Interesting. Shame I can't use this anymore.... Maybe Sony will remove "multiplayer" payment. Now I may consider a purchase of X1... unless there will be free MP in PS4.
Jerbsinator Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Damn, I really wanted them to lose this race. Not that I am going to buy a Xbone or PS4 anyway, but I don't think Microsoft deserves to take peoples hard earned money after this fuckfest.
Nonsense667 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 It's very easy to lose trust. It's a lot harder to gain it back. We will see.
