AAF Nuka Ride: A Porn Studio Mod

Did you change the Nuka Ride plugin into an esl or something?  Try completely uninstalling Nuka Ride, delete it from your mod manager, delete it from your hard drive, download it again and install, make sure the plugin is active.

You may need to press the "deploy" on Vortex.    The esp can be active, installed, etc. but for some reason still not "deployed".     Note that this is exclusive to Vortex.

It was written for female player characters, so the armor isn't going to work that you are given by NPC's, and I doubt the animations will work as they are female+male animations and usually the mod is programmed to use a custom version.  The main issue is going to be getting back to the places via the robot because I think you have to have the tattoos on you in order to travel that way.   It looks like @JB. made a patch a while back to let tatoos go on male players but i don't know if Nuka Ride uses tats that aren't included in that.  At one point I think I had to have the plain clothes that I was given on my character equipped in order to travel, so I can not remember what the requirements are for getting back and forth between Sanctuary / Diamond City / Nuka World.

 

It may be possible to play through the quest as long as the traveling works.  You can always give it a try, but keep in mind that Nuka Ride changes the behavior of Nuka World DLC, so with this installed you may not be able to play that DLC as you normally would.  For example, going to the train station breaks the NPC ai packages and they just stand around so you shouldn't try and go through the gauntlet, and I read earlier where some vanilla Nuka World quests don't fire off anymore with Nuka Ride.  But I assume all the Nuka Ride quest dialogue will work as a male (but it won't know you are a male player character and will call you girl etc), and if an animation fails because it can't find actors I think it just takes a bit and then you can keep going.

To demystify this: Vortex "installs" mods to a staging directory, "enables" their plugins in the plugins.txt, and "deploys" links (or copies depending on the mode chosen) for the files into the game directory, as separate steps.

After I posted, I started setting up for my next run and I found a setting in the AAF_settings.ini file which is located in the \AAF folder in the Advanced Animation Framework mod which might help with gender / animations:

 

ignore_animation_genders = false     ; If true, AAF will ignore animation gender assignments. Gender checks in other XML files, for equipmentSets, etc. may still apply.

 

false is default, so maybe by flipping that flag to true it might work?

How far into the vanilla story do most people get before starting NR?   I usually do it right away, but this playthrough (with the latest NR version) I wandered over to Olivia Station, so I suspect I have Abernathy Farm quest active now.  I am pretty sure I will have to finish it. 

 

This is just a general question as to how long one can delay starting NR.

This is just a general question as to how long one can delay starting NR.   

That vanilla quest has priority 74, so if you're going to recruit Lucy  (priority 70), Blake will first thank you for the recovered medallion and then proceed to terminate the mission. And immediately he will not know who you are or what you want from his living daughter. LOL.

 

In other conditions (if you return to the farm for a long time after getting the medallion), you can assume that Blake doesn't recognize you since you are dressed differently, with a collar and piercings.

@wolnir412 I just tried the above setting (ignore_animation_genders = true) on my female character while in Nuka World market, but I just used Sex 'em Up to proposition a dude so it wasn't one of the native NukaRide animations, and it chose gay male+male animation sets.  Surprisingly good results, with the exception of some animations only having 1 actor moving and the other actor in a sort of frozen position, but I'm not that familiar with the gay animations to know if this is indicative of using a female in them or if those particular scenes have an issue.  It's actually something I may keep for now, because it's cool to see more animations than the ones that usually get picked.  I'm actually really curious if you make a run of it with a male PC, let us know what works and what doesn't.

I was just thinking... What about Cito? He could be a great actor for Golden Globes. Mason and The Pack could catch him and send to work, and our Overbitch could teach him how to be a great porn actor. Tarzan's Second Cumming or Taming a Savage, I can already envision movie posters like that :)

Hi JB.

 

I completed the mod after my earlier bug.  Fantastic BTW. It gives the first few levels some new meaning/play a different way at the start. I think I ended up at level 8 after completing and heading back to the commonwealth to continue. Overall there were about 3 or 4 levels gained in total there so IMO not too OP.

I would like to mention some further minor glitches I encountered which people may or may not have encountered.

 

- Scene at Andrews Station after being put on the X at the point where the overboss comes in and wipes out the raiders. He did not auto TP down from the top catwalk and did an infinite "running loop" trying to get to me, getting stuck on the railings in front of me. Perhaps just my game/conflict elsewhere, but I did try a couple of times doing reload before that point but it kept doing the same. I just simply used console command to move him to in front of me where he then freed me and we auto TP out after the dialog.

 

- At the end, I chose the option to send all 3 "Mr" men to my apartment. Again a few re-load attempts here but after speaking with Mr Smith (or whatever the one that gives the dialog),  the scene just kept going to black and I got the spinning/loading icon - like it was trying to position the dudes but they could not path to upstairs? Simply grabbed the id ref from him, went upstairs, moved him with console commands and initiated dialog. Scene continued ok after that with all participants.

 

I just wanted to say thanks. It is appreciated.

Just one detail: Including Cito in the Studio would probably make the Nuka World DLC unplayable at the point of capturing the zoo. I can return Cito back to the Zoo so the player can conquer the territory, but there would be a gigantic story gap.

 

I must confess that I no longer have an interest in playing the DLC, I won it twice with almost every achievement, and I don't care in the least about the DLC anymore. But throughout this topic I have seen that many people still want to play it.

The Overboss thing in Andrew Station is more about the navmesh of the game. It happens to all of us. Sometimes it goes well and goes through the tunnel to your right, other times it tries to cross the walkway.

 

Bethesda stuff.

 

As for the three VIPs, it hasn't happened to me, but I'll transport them upstairs before I start the scene. It cannot hurt anyone.

Perhaps Cito tells the Pirate Queen/Overbitch/Pornstar (I still like the whole Aria T'Loak story vibe :) ) that his "family" is having trouble with beasts and he must protect his family.   He then says that she cannot go with him because it is too dangerous and "pretty lady  fucks well, but overboss needed to save you from silly commonwealth raiders...no  you stay here and do what you do"  or something.   

 

That way, the DLC "resets" (Cito goes back and because he is .....special....he won't have any memory) .   

 

Just a story line suggestion, however, I think that @LWolf8 made a great possible plot point.

 

On another note, are any big twitchers (or what every they care called...I am Gen X, so ..yea..) or You Tubers covering FO4 mods anymore?    Clearly, NR is a top notch mod with a very good, though adult, story line.    If so, would it be a good or bad thing to have more publicity.     Do you have an opinion on use of your mod (i.e. can other people make derivative works from it, with citation, without citation, etc.)?

Hi, reading the description was looking forward to trying this. However, for me File  NukaRide_3.2.3  doesnt work, no protectron same with NukaRide_3.2.4  but

file 1973220870_NukaRide2.1-TentacusEdition does seem to work, protectron, gets me to nuka world

 

I suppose something like a mod conflict?   This run through im lvl 10. I done nuka world 3 other times with higher level characters.. so the dlc is there and as above, one file works

I've just coma back to this mod (it's been awhile) and it has really come on leaps and bounds, a brilliant piece of work by @JB.

 

Everything's running smoothly so far :classic_smile:

That bell symbol tells you that Nuka Ride is missing other masters (other mods) that it depends on to function. Look at the main page again and check all the requirements and make sure you have them installed. Nuka Ride 2.3 needs more masters (mods) than the Tentacus version.

I only know that I have not modified the original Kells or the quests related to BOS, you can see it in FO4Edit. I only used their identical siblings (the porn actor and the tattoo shop guard, lol). Beyond the resemblance, they don't share much else. It shouldn't affect, but who knows. I will be attentive to more reports like this.

I don't know, I want to include Cito, I'll see if there's a way to get the park for the Packs the moment we recruit Cito, but it could have unintended consequences.

 

I think we are close to a "Don't play Nuka World with Nuka Ride installed".

Jack Cabot with the desire to test out some new "shock" therapy to help "cure" his father.  He needs a "clean" person (someone who lived before the bombs, like his father) so Nora makes the perfect candidate for some interesting therapies.   She may even lose some health in the process (blood drawn, etc.).
