Where is the buffout report located?  There are no crash logs in the My Docs F4SE folder.

I keep my mods to a minimum.  The only active scripts are Hardship and Violate.  I usually disable Hardship for Nukaride.

If there are no crash logs in the same directory as your F4SE logs, then take a look at the F4SE logs for signs that the Buffout 4 DLL wasn't loaded successfully. It's quite easy to miss some of the requisite system dependencies.

In addition to what Vaultbait said, check out this document for help on getting Buffout to work.  https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/3115

Check your 'Documents\my games\Fallout4\F4SE' directory and look for files starting with 'crash-'.

I discovered why I was not getting a buffout crash log.  Vortex had installed TBB redistributables and xse plugin in the Data folder instead of the root folder.

Lucy in the Sky played out with the swarmbot attack after manual installation.  BUT the game would crash when I told the Overboss I would go and check on the stream.

Here is the crash log:

Looks Menu is installed, but F4EE parameter under [Compatibility] is set to FALSE
Open Buffout4.toml and change F4EE parameter to TRUE, this prevents bugs and crashes from Looks Menu.

If you don't rely on AWKCR, you should switch to Equipment and Crafting Overhaul
Better Alternative: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/55503?tab=files

I think there are still traces of an uninstalled mod. But put Nuka Ride among your latest plugins, and could you also disable the "Vivid Fallout" plugin and retest?

If that doesn't fix it:

Spoiler

Navigate to C:\Users\YOURUSERIDHERE\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Fallout4.ini

Open with notepad, hit cntl + f, type in 'Papyrus'

You should get something like this:

[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0
bEnableLogging=0
bEnableTrace=0
bLoadDebugInformation=0

Change all 0 values to 1, this enables Papyrus logging, logs are stored in C:\Users\YOURUSERIDHERE\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\Logs\Script
It won't tell us what caused the crash but it will show if there were any scripting problems and help us point to what is causing your CTDs.

So after I tried the mod first time and Mason wouldn't talk to my character, I decided to give mod another chance and start over from the beginning. It went well this time, and man oh man... Nuka Ride is great!

You know, vanilla Fallout 4 is a great game, and even a good RPG. Of course it has some problems, but with mods you can boost exploration, sandbox, and immersion aspects, add hundreds of new toys and enjoy game even after 1000 or 2000 hours. But in it's core it would still remain a typical Fallout 4, with exploration, shooting, and building some settlements gameplay loop. But with Nuka Ride (and adding to that couple of other mods) you can actually break out of typical Fallout gameplay loop and play absolutely differently.

So with Start Me Up I started playing not as Nora the vault dweller and mother of dragons Shaun, but just as a random wastelander. But on my other Start Me Up "random guy/gal" playthrough attempts, I got bored very quickly, because there was no engaging story behind, so it's the same Fallout 4 loop, just without cohesive main story.

But when I combined Start Me Up (level 5 character) with Survival Options (for save/autosave options and damage taken x 4) and most importantly Nuka Ride, now hard gameplay and story actually engaged me to role-play a very different type of character. No more running and shooting, no more scavenging, building farms and water purifiers. Now I can really play a non-combat oriented character, a realistic hard-working girl, who doesn't have to scavenge and shoot things all day long. And even when I tried to go hunt animals for food (like I did in all my other survival-oriented playthroughs), I realised there is not much level 5 character can do in Nuka World with all those deadly crickets running around. So after my character was killed like 7 times in a row by animals, and 4 more times by supermutants and some aggressive Disciples, only way left for my gal to survive in this harsh wasteland and not starve to death without food and water, is to use her looks and pussy. And that's when the fun began.

JB., first of all, you've done amazing job with dialogs.

Second of all, the way you implemented fast traveling (from Nuka Town to Goodneighbor or Diamond City) into the story, is actually one of the reasons your gal doesn't need to be a good fighter or sneak master to survive. She doesn't need to travel so far on foot, therefore she doesn't have to deal with all the aggressive NPC's in the wasteland. She's a porn star, a very talented and hard-working hooker, and it has its benefits. So it's still a survival, but not a shoot/sneak/build survival.

Third, I like the way you implemented outfits into story and quests. My only nitpick would be that your girl sometimes still complains about high heels or skimpiness even after she already experienced what comes with a job of a hooker and porn star.

And fourth, you made nice story-related character progression. It really feels like your character is not just a hooker who fucks for roleplay purposes only. She builds her popularity and reputation as porn star, builds relationships with Nuka gangs and NPC's. It's very engaging.

I don't know how many total quest there are in Nuka Ride, but at this moment I played like 10+ hours, until quest when The Operator girl (new movie director) shows up in Golden Globes. And I must say, strictly from perspective of the quest mods, it was my most fun 10+ hours of playing since New Vegas Bounties and Skyrim's Amorous Adventures.

So thank you, and keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks. I really had my doubts as to whether it would be appropriate to make a mod where there are no shootings, but it has turned out well. Maybe there will be a fist fight at some point in the future.

Anywas, I'm glad the mod worked out for you. I better take a look at that William outfit.

And it could be nice, even a non-fighter girl in this setting and in this profession in some situations can have an option to use a gun, especially after what happened with Bulldog. Just don't turn her into killing machine))

By the way, I finished available main content. It's great, but I had some bugs.

At one point in my game all vanilla NPC's in Nuka Town stopped sandboxing. Nuka Market visitors, traders and Raiders are just standing. But maybe it's a mod conflict on my part (I forgot to disable Nuka World Open Season Extend II, and maybe it's somehow conflicting with Nuka Ride).

Other bug is when I load (or reload) game with equipped purse, it's invisible. Equipping/unequipping doesn't help, only way to make purse visible is to drop it on the ground (or put it in container), then take back and equip again.

Still crashes at the point I'm supposed to go to the stream.  The Overboss keeps walking around and does not settle in any one spot.  I walked up to the terrace and he did not follow and walked out of the house to sit on a chair on the verandah.

No papyrus log was generated that I could find.

If there's no crash-YYYY-MM-DD-hh-mm-ss.log file (it will have the date and time of the crash in the filename), then double-check the last f4se.log to make sure it says something like:

plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\\Buffout4.dll (00000001 Buffout4 00000001) loaded correctly

And yeah, if you look at the files page for Buffout 4, you'll see the TBB Redistributables entry has as a description Place in the root Fallout 4 directory next to Fallout4.exe (implying you should manually put it in that location).

Unfortunately that bug is out of my hands. It is not caused by my mod.

But it is avoidable.

I enable the F4EE compatibility patch in my Buffout 4 config, but that patch is expressly built for LooksMenu 1.6.20. I wonder if enabling it while using older LooksMenu versions (like the 1.6.18 recommended by "The Fucking Manual") results in that error, but someone else who uses older LM would have to check.

Just finished all the quests, it is a fun mod and waiting for more updates for it... I do have a question about the bimbo collar, the only way to keep it is if you become the overboss pet, I love the bimbo run animation that is only available with the collar. Is there another way to obtain it?

Thank you for your hard work.

Just finished the quest once more, no issues AT ALL, the mods worked perfect, there are some things that could be considered like interaction with other mods, and some combats that prevent NR from working at some points, cause not supposed to fight in that moment, outside of those the mod is fully functional.

When you visit the Overboss, at the end, ask to spend the night with mr. Smith. He will give you the bimbo-rings.

Ok I get a crash during Lucy in the Sky at stage 100-110, the instant Blake tells me I should go talk to Conny (I'm assuming that's suppose to setstage 110) the game CTD's. I tried to skip his whole conversation in case it was a bug in the dialogue and setstage 110 thru the console with the same result. I'll attach the Buffout log so maybe someone can take a look and figure it out.

Body Physics Crash

Place Nuka Ride after StartMeUp.
Try cleaning your save, there are traces of a deleted mod. The cause of the CTD seems to come from a mod of unknown origin that conflicts with Nuka Ride.
If you have the papyrus log it could help me understand the cause of CTD

Try manually advancing the stage to 120 (talk to the Overboss)

Nuka Ride won't move. In my actual load order it's at the bottom but because of the HHS sound patch for Nuka Ride being and esl it jams them both to where they show in the log, even does it in fo4edit :( I have a couple of mods I created that it does that to also. I went through Nuka Ride's esp and resolved all the conflicts so I'm unsure how it could conflict with any other mods. I'll try the setstage 120, I tried 110 and 115 with no luck. It seems to be referencing the hanging pole from torture devices as though it's invalid but I don't see how. That's what the form ID 1A0899E8 is, the hanging pole.

ESL files are automatically loaded first by the game engine, so making an ESL depend on an ESP master will create unsolvable ordering problems. If the ESL file can can be converted to an ESPfe (ESL-flagged ESP), then it can be ordered like other ESP files while still not consuming an active plugin index.

looks like Buffout4 is loaded correctly:  plugin C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\\Buffout4.dll (00000001 Buffout4 00000001) loaded correctly.

I'll play the mod again in a fresh game, in case another mod had corrupted the advanced game.

Well tried to setstage from 130 all the way to complete quest at 1000 and got an instant ctd in every case. I'm going to convert some esl's to espfl's as Vaultbait suggested then fix the load order and see what happens. That will take a while and I'll let you know what comes up.

Happy New Year to all!! ?? Thank you all for helping me build this great monster, hopefully 2022 will be better for everyone.

With December ending I will have a little more time to myself and I am looking forward to continuing to create content. Did someone say a mission at the Institute? Those bastards won't want to miss out on a chance to replace our favorite actress with a synth.

What do i type in console to start the mission mason flag pole. For what ever reason. It's not starting. Mr.Corsican gives me my cloths to go visit mason but the mission does not start.

Re-download the mod and reinstall. Load a save before talking to Corsican about the flagpole, and try again.

William, Mags and Leonard. If all of them are alive the quest should start.

Yea, i double checked to see if they are alive and well, which they are. I even tried using console commands to start it and it stays stuck at stage 0 no matter what i do. Are there any other NPCs i should look for then in particular? or is this another problem and i need to start investigating more?

Happy new years.
