alright so i didnt just decide to try a new version but to make a brand new mod list dedicated to it and made a new game to try out the new version. IT WORKED, so im really glad i can move on. 
However, there is a new problem, talking to the kaisar robot (the one you have to shoot the ad with to start the whole mod) wouldnt do anything and not initiate any dialog. Same thing where setting the stage manually wouldnt work. Atleast i had the quickstart option which bypassed it. Everyrthing else is going swell so far.

The synthesizer that is available to build her lines still makes them sound a bit tinny.  Bottom line we need a better digital Signal Processor (https://www.descript.com/lyrebird) seems to hold much promise.     Second, is the IP issue.    Voice actresses get paid for their voices.  So, ethical solutions would be to replace all of Nora's voice files with another voice actress (here from LL perhaps) or to match a voice close to Nora's but different enough to pass the "reasonable test".

the reason i mentioned shank not talking to me even though i won the quest i had to play anew character because i had a mod that corrupted the saves of the other characters

I just installed the starlight drive in mod and thought of your Nuka Ride mod.  Maybe for the premier of one of the movies you can have it where you have to go and get the drive in cleaned up and the projector working and then you have to be there for the Premier and who knows what can happen with a bunch of horny fans.  Just some ideas for future missions.  You could even make some Reels for the projector with our star in them.

I have my DJ working on an announcement that is essentially what you are saying.    As for making a video....that is a tall order.   Making the films is a tough thing to get right.   LL had a discussion thread about here.

 

Oh and here is my DJ's line:

"I have been told that there is a film studio at that old nuka world park.  They moved here from New Reno, and I gotta wonder, is there a lot of people who want movies?   Maybe someone should fix up that movie theater over by the Drumline Diner.   If you do that, I will totally let you take me out for a movie and dinner…..I don’t bite…….much.   "

In addition to what @steelpanther24 said, getting the drive-in plugin for VOTW to work has been finicky for some folks.  I ran into an issue with it recently and of course it was another mod overwriting the changes that VOTW makes to the area.  My hunch is that most of the problems people have with getting the screen repaired and working is that they have other things editing the cell and overwriting VOTW.  I posted about it in the thread with how I resolved it, in my case it was Previs Repair Pack.  Don't get me wrong though, you have a great idea there, but I wonder if it would be worth the headache. 

 

May as well create a new cell with the projector (If that's even possible) which isn't touched by any other mod.  Maybe it doesn't have to be a settlement, either.  From a Nuka Ride support perspective it would be easier to integrate a new cell than try and deal with the existing Drive-in issues as there's several mods that change that area I think.

I'll play the mod again in a fresh game, in case another mod had corrupted the advanced game. 

I discovered all my problems with AAF and Nuka Ride while doing a fresh Nuka Ride playthrough on a fresh game.  

 

Firstly, some animations rely on the Fusion Girl plugin.  I installed that plugin in addition to CBBE.  The AAF Fucking Manual needs to be changed to stipulate that CBBE and Fusion Girl should be installed.  This is not an "or" requirement.

 

Secondly, my problems with Lucy in the Sky was caused by the mod "Unlimited Companion Framework".  I remembered that I had to specifically dismiss a companion with that mod.  However, with the Overboss there are no instructions to dismiss.  The mod treated Overboss as a companion.

 

Finished Nuka Ride with no problems, except for a glitch with transmitter quest where the mechanic was not at Cappy's Cafe and I had to leave Nuka World for the game to place Morse in the cafe and complete the quest. 

 

Only problem is I used to get moans in my animation, now there are no moans.  Someone should disable the Raiders' whistles.

This is not a problem with the guide as far as I'm aware.  I don't think any of the animations strictly require FG.  Do you remember which animation it was that you had an issue with?

 

You can have both FG and CBBE mods installed but it could get confusing.  There is a couple mods that let you have separate female bodies for NPC's and Player for example, so theoretically you could have both, but it might screw with the way your armor fits and how you would build it may be complicated.  So I'm not sure exactly where you ran into a problem.

Hi, @JB. Loving Nuka-Ride so far.

 

This is all from a new game I started yesterday. Mostly really good but a few things I found:

 

1. I've just completed the session trapped in Andrews Station up to the point where I'm rescued by Overboss. I got a couple of messages about being healed. I wasn't Tp'd anywhere, which is unusual since I'd thought that the Overboss would take me with him (even if his car only has room for one) but that's okay. So I walked out of the bunker on my own (looting as I went) and ran into a couple of other raiders. They were not hostile to me. I walked around outside and ran into some other raiders near south boston school and they weren't hostile either. Am I meant to be non-hostile with all other raiders now? Or is there a flag that should have been switched off after my rescue?

 

EDIT: this lack of raider hostility may be fixed now that I've found the Overboss. (see #2) below

 

2. I'm not sure where the Overboss has gone after the rescue and the messages about being healed. He didn't go back to his usual home. Do you know his reference id and I'll tp to him.

 

EDIT found his alias from sqv. I did a moveto and he was still in the station, close to the platform entrance. A firefight kicked off which he won, presumably because he's protected. I could talk to him and it looks like the quest will resume but it seems strange given I'd already gone to get healed. Given the Raiders don't think I'm hostile are we supposed to fight our way out, or should The Overboss and me both have been TP'd after the rescue, or should the Overboss have stayed with me next to the x-cross?

 

EDIT 2: ran it again from the moment of  capture by Bulldog and I was abandoned again by the Overboss, after he rescued me. This time the 'moveto' took me to a small bedroom, which I assume was the correct location. I was able to follow the questline from that poitn forward

 

3. One of the earlier posters mentioned something about the raider dog during the final torture scenes in Andrew Station. Once I'm down in the pit I am hung up, and then put on the x-cross for branding, and then the rescue scene starts. Was there supposed to be an additional scene in there with the dog?

 

4. My body shape was changed a couple of times. Smaller breasts, smaller nose, hairstyle e.g. right before getting in the car with Overboss, and right after Bulldog abducts me. This feels like some sort of bimbo-fication. Do you know if your mod would have done this?

  • I think it would be nice if there was a steady flow of caps to the character from her films but the amount should reflect ongoing marketing efforts via needing to regularly do some short radiant quests, e.g. go back and see Mason/Overboss/Vadim regularly, make more films with different story lines, put up posters, sign autographs for fans, and so on. There could be additional quests to film movies that allow the studio to tap into other markets like (non-feral) ghouls.
  • On that last point it'd be nice to give the ghoul cameraman a name. Maybe he knows someone who'd want to star opposite the character?
  • Raider pet has a good mechanic whereby guards recognize you as a raider pet and look down on you a bit as well as more brutal scenes. I know we have some comments about being a porn start now but it'd be nice to have something like that, albeit with the guards being less nasty but equally horny. Equally if the character is ever captured by Raiders through Raider Pet, or Violate or RSE:CSA, it'd be nice if they recognized her.
  • I liked the suggestion about needing to capture Starlight Drive-In (if its not already a settlement) to host a premiere for a new video. Whether can do an actual video or you just do a fade-to-black for the show it's be good either way

Did not mean to come off as defensive, I'm just trying to figure out why you feel like you need to have both CBBE and FG installed.  The quote from BP70 doesn't mean that CBBE won't work at all, it's just stating that FG will work better.  There are other animation packs that were created with only CBBE installed, Gray User is one of those.  But FG still works with it.

 

I disagree with telling people to install both bodies because newer modders may run into issues with confusion if one mod overwrites the one they prefer to use.  Bodyslide already has a bit of a learning curve, I think it's better to keep it simple.

I'm illiterate when it comes to modding.  I'm not aware of CBBE overwriting FG.  Both presets show up in Bodyslide.  I learned to use Bodyslide to build a preset and batch build.  In the end that was easier than trying to negotiate the problems with AAF disappearing out of the game at any given time. 

 

I went back and completed Nuka Ride in my advanced game.  AAF had stopped functioning and I had to load an earlier save so that AAF would reload itself.  AAF is not perfect software, better to minimize AAF problems and let other mods fix themselves. 

 

I have a glitch in my advanced game.  The game won't load the final scene at Dumlins Diner.  The scene loaded in the new game.

You found a solution that worked for you, which is always a good feeling.  But there are some intricacies to be aware of.  When you build your body in Bodyslide, it will go to the default folder your body mod and the subfolders: (\Meshes\Actors\Character\Characterassets) which is akin to \data\Meshes\Actors\Character\Characterassets if you look at your default vanilla game install folder.  The path will show up when you build it.  If adding a different body which loads after the current body, then the armors you already built will look way off if the newly added mod loads at a higher priority because it may already include the femalebody.nif file which will take precedence when starting the game.

 

I fully understand the spirit of the idea that you are trying to convey, and while you did find a solution that worked for you, it might be better to keep sending new modders to the guide because it is getting updated by someone working very closely with supporting the software and issues being faced.  Certainly not trying to discourage you from making suggestions, but just in this case I feel it wasn't the best one.  It's all good, and I don't want to clutter JB's thread too much, but there are people that ask for Bodyslide help so maybe what I typed will make things more clear (or with my luck I just confused the shit out of someone lol)

Hey finished your mod again. 

I was wondering if it would be difficult at the end of your mod to do a bridge to Nuka World dlc maybe something like : " becoming the Overwhore" where you after becoming a pornstar and learning the raider way of life, you decide to take the Colter's Seat. Then making New films as the Overwhore dealing yourself with investor recruiting New actress or actor and maybe find a way to keep the 3 factions with the help of golden globes studio.

I would like to do that myself but I'm a Real pillock with script and .pex in Ck.

 

Or maybe I have drunk too much during happy new year party. ?

Encountered a bug with the tattoo shop. Music the NPC stopped responding after asking to have nails done. Can't get he to respond.

I found I get my nails done if it was the first thing I did, but if I then asked for a piercing, Music would just stand at the counter and there would be no marker on the chair I was meant to sit down on.

I'm glad you were able to complete it, indeed the Overboss takes you to DC after rescuing you.

As for the dog, it's a scene in Andrew Station that only happens if you filmed with the dog at the start of the mod. Let's say, it's my way of respecting that you don't want scenes with animals.

The idea of a movie theater is very good. I don't want to mess with the settlements, but there is a drive-in theater at Nuka World and I can use it () There could be a mission to open it after promoting it in DC and GN.

Right now I only have 3 missions defined:

 

Being a Mule: Repeatable mission to be a mule for Nisha, who after x successful deliveries will unlock a scooter for you where you can travel to certain points of the Commonwealth.
Made in heaven - the Institute has created a synth based on you. I want that, at the end of the Quest, you can decide to have the synth work as an actress for the Studio.
Unnamed Mission - Travel to Bunker Hill with Music to purchase her tattoo chair. And thus unlock the tattoos. Music will put / remove tattoo sets (eg SnowBunny set, PornStar set, Raider set, etc.) - this mission may end up integrating it with the Institute's mission

The mission to open a movie theater sounds fantastic.

I checked the scripts and indeed I missed putting a pointer on the chair in the center of the shop (it is not the same chair where you get your nails done). The piercing works fine, only I forgot to point out which is the correct chair.

Found another issue, love the mod by the way, in the quest at Abernathy Farm where your character is captured and drugged when you are taken to another in game location the cell space did not load properly, lots of ghosting images, had to load it 3 times before I could follow the quest icon to the stage. I do have a lighting mod so no idea if that conflicts, enhanced lights and fx. Thanks for you work this mod is great.

The theater in Nuka World is (mindbogglingly) used as a radiant quest location for the Railroad, so I'm not sure if that would have an impact on using it for Nuka Ride.  Could always make a copy of the theater and put it behind a different door if it's a problem.

MCM Error  - Nuka World .esp is missing.

 

I started a new save with the newest version, but In MCM it indicates that the .esp is not found

 

At first I noticed it was inactive in vortex plugins, but even after turning it on. Still the same thing. 

Tried reverting one version, same results.

A few installs, and re-installs.

No errors, all other mods work fine.

 

I had this working on the 2.0 version, but once i updated and launched a new save. Nothing.
