It's possible to:

 

  • Restrict items that can be built
  • Restrict what can be scrapped

 

And if the players bypass any of that using mods like Scrap Anything - they will for sure know it's their own fault for breaking things. Vanilla game has the same issue, you can completely break it using the workshop system and scrapping stuff you normally couldn't. Buy hey - I just call in workshop locally, the only thing I needed to fix was to attach a principal LCTN record to the apartment CELL to make it work.

Well, my rule of thumb applicable to with mods (and largely any data operations):

 

  • Newer doesn't mean better! Before installing the new version always backup the old one. It might happen that the new one breaks something or looks worse or introduces something you don't like. Or all of that. Or worse.
  • Don't do something you didn't do before on a live build! Yes, exactly "didn't do before", not simply "not sure about" or "don't understand". Even if you you understand what you're about to do, even if you are sure it will do exactly what you think it will, if you didn't do it before - don't ever do it! Try on some test build, experiment and only then consider it a thing you can do on a live build. And backup before doing it (see next one)
  • Backup, backup, backup - where possible! I have all my mods downloaded in a separate folder, not a staging one. I use JP for any sufficiently relevant mod plugins backup and/or even versioning.
  • Don't update / replace / install more than one mod at a time! Unless you want then to spend hours on debugging what went wrong and why it now crashes/you lose x% FPS/stuff stops working.

 

And even with this I still occasionally manage to break things - it can't be helped when maintaining more than half a thousand live build and keeping it performant, stable and bug-free.

I lost some work I did on the apartment when JB updated, which .....was frustrating but not JB"s fault at all, like you pointed out.   So, I don't mod the apartment anymore.....other than with FO4Edit and to change some of the posters into ones of my avatar in her movies.   

 

As for the rebuild...it was mircosoft's or my anti virus that is to blame, as well as my own stupidity in using windows driver verifier....yes yes... I know all the warnings...but  thought... I can fix it.....but  got caught in an endless loop of BSOD so had to pull out the re-install windows.        Yes, I opted for a nuclear bomb when a JDAM would have worked better.    Lost alot of software and broke all the links.   So, it was of my own doing and not thinking before "fixing". 

 

I stopped storing mods because I was in a memory crunch, but since I had to reinstall.....well now I have plenty of room and so what if I lost my $800 in video and sound editing tools, as well as my Office 2019 (because Micro$oft wants you to rent their stuff now), in addition to several (hundreds) of IEEE pdfs.     Though.... it has been years since I have been a member, still it hurts losing all those.   

 

Worst of all and totally off topic, I lost my link to 'The Dragon" magazine archive!   Sadness abounds and my FO4 is still not ready to play NR yet.

Also, your list of minor issues have been fixed.    It has been almost funny watching this mod grow because it is as if we are all in the design room with JB  saying "Hey  do this!"    Must be tough on a MA.

Yeah Jb. has a patience of a saint.

About the workshop is a lot better to use the portable ones, Jb can't and should addapt to us but viceversa, is a lot easier.

You should make a video while you're installing!!

For general future cleanup, I noticed a minor error in my papyrus log related to a non-existent quest objective call.  It didn't affect game play at all.  I'm not sure if the objective call is left over from a prior version, or a copy-paste remnant, or what have you.  Figured you might want to know anyway.

Quest stage 50 tries to set a displayed objective 50.  But there is no objective 50 to display, so FO4 just throws a papyrus error into the log and carries on with the rest of your script functions.

Again, really stunning work.  I'm blown away by how much you've managed to create and how engaging your quests can be.

Finished the mod. Easily the best lewd quest mod for FO4.

 

I did encounter several bugs but they were probably as likely down to my shoddy modding skills as anything else, and all were fixed by a little use of console commands. 

 

Would love more Femdom stuff and more funny scenes in future updates but obviously that's up to you (loved it when you give the silly dialogue options in The Plumber for example).

 

1 more suggestion I would love for the future: If you reject the Overboss then a choice of Mags or Mason to be your Master/Lover/Dom? No idea how difficult that would be to add in though, and it might ruin your dynamic, I guess they would still have to share you?

A bit of caution on adding music.   When I did your commercial for the studio, I took time to find a backing track that had Creative Commons licensing so I could use the music without any issue with copy rights.    As you are just playing it in the background, I think it is safe to use it under a Non Derivative work (all my uses had voice overs so ND doesn't work for me).

Yeah, of course, just look at the descriptions and they are copyright free for audiovisual projects, with recognition of authorship.

 

BTW, when I asked an author for permission to use some of his clothes for NR, I was ignored, but it was then that I discovered authors like Don, Anarrieta and many more who upload their mods basically as free resources and only ask for authorship recognition. Kudos to them. ?

Speaking of NR clothes... have just installed latest version of Nuka Ride to give it a spin on a new game (I played an earlier build and it was a hoot!) but when I get the audition outfit from Shank, I am a floating head and hand :D ... tried playing around with load order but to no avail... I used Vortex to install and all the clothing mods seem to be activated as far as I can tell. Any suggestions?

 

Did the name of the clothing change or some such as I certainly did not have this issue last time I went for a wild Nuka Ride?

The most common cause I've seen for that is when the prerequisite Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019 is not installed. You may want to check out the tips in this article to make sure you're getting the most out of Buffout 4: How To Install Buffout 4 And Resolve Most Common Crash Logs

Not sure who it was that said to configure MO2 to set the output of Bodyslide to the Overwrite folder but it's bloody genius. Every time you run, you can just drag the contents to a mod you create yourself (called mine Bodyslide Output, because...) Overwrite everything in there each time, and if you want to wipe and start again, just remove the mod. WAY easy.

So, after playing through the mod, I'd say it's the best quest mod for FO4 ever, and I'm not exaggerating. The extra personality quirks it gives to many characters in the game. some hilarious moments and a lot of space for character development - to this moment Candy is my favorite character in Fallout 4 ever, who grew up from a city girl just looking for some safety among dangerous characters in Nuka World to "I'm a wolf, not a sheep" murderous psycho bitch after the events at Andrew Station.

 

Patiently waiting for the update. I know it's probably a bit too much to ask, but JB, if you ever feel like expanding the quest line through the game, it would be hilarious to see the protagonist abducted by the Institute at some point because Shawn was watching a porn movie just to realize that the actress he was jerking off to was his mother. "Mother... we need to talk". This is how she gets to the Institute w/o building the whatever-they-usually build.

Hey folks i played this mod, as everyone says, best quest mod for FO4 really great work.
but unfortunately I can't get any further after finishing "becoming a porn star"

At three test (disabled some mods like SexHarassment) the same issues occur.
Everything works smooth until the overseer quest, the third Invester got no AAF. If I wait, however, the quest continues.

After that the poledance aaf in the golden globes studio never ends until i finsh it manuell. However i get a reward.
After finish "become a pornstar" i can't talk to Shank.

 

I use CBBE without ocbp+kneefix. And i don't use captive tattoos.


Any idea what's wrong?

Actually not odd at all. Buffout 4 fixes a lot of the most common crash bugs, so odds are it fixed whatever what causing yours as well.

Wanted to test if 3.2.3 has same issue with freezes / non-working scene options, so updated aaaand.. all the scripts completely fail to load. VM discarded almost all aliases and the fragments fail to be triggered. Fine with me as I did the play through anyways, just a fair warning to anyone considering updating mid-game. Normal procedure with proper clean > remove > load > save > restart will definitely work, yet it's not an option for the game in progress as that would mean complete restart of the mod too.

Hi all!
First of all, I wanna say that this is one of the more refreshing mods in the game. Made me reinstall it after several years of not playing :D
However, I have some pretty major issues.

The tattoos are never applied to my character and most of the animations aren't triggering. In the screenshot below, AAF debug says that there are no solo female animations, but I'm certain that there are since I installed almost all animations packs on LL (and Atomic Lust from Nexus) and can use them normally from the AAF interface. In one instance, I went to shoot the scene with Kells and no animations were triggered in the quest, but when I used AAF's interface, I selected the motorcycle as a prop and started the animations, no problem (the SavageCabbage ones).

Some animations are triggered without a problem. For example, the plumber scene always triggers animations and the dances are triggered with no issue.

I don't know where to start looking about the tattoos not applying. I have all the prerequisites for this mod and its prerequisites. Or at least I'm fairly certain I do.

 

Can someone smarter than me please lend a helping hand, since I'm stuck. The story is great, but I'm kinda missing out without the tattoos and animations :/

No idea. I would reload a save before Mason's audition to try again. Mason gives you an outfit, and if you keep talking to him until the end, he should give you something to "cover your ass", and then he sends you to Corsican (at that time Corsican goes from invisible to visible mode).

Thats weird. I always test from previous versions, even very old versions. And I have had no problems with the scripts. I don't know if because my testing profile is with very few mods, I think only 50/60. I only have problems if I make aliases changes in Quests that are already running in a save - which I don't intend to do.

what mod manager do you use? I have the impression that it is not reading / finding the XML that is in DATA / AAF.

Damn, I must be stupid or blind, because I was missing all of Nuka Ride's XMLs -.-
Must have happened sometime when I was debugging AAF itself - removed the folder and installed the XMLs bit by bit, but forgot about Nuka Ride.

But yeah after disable tentacus everything works fine.
