If you had the AAF NativeSync patch installed, make sure you uninstall it with newer AAF (it's made for the old version, but also less necessary with the improvements in 171).

No worries. In my native language we call them "rol trappe" Which directly translate to "rolling stairs" But ye most of us afrikaans people speak english aswell so we just use the english word. We learn something new everyday.

After a few years I decided to Install FO4 again and stumbled over this mod while looking into Loverslab. Damn, I didn't expect that. It's running well for me, except when it changes to some AAF scenes.

Also I can't shoot at the Prinzipal in the student quest. Somehow I can't get bullets into the gun.

Great mod! Thank you for your hard work on this.

I waited 24 hours and then went straight to the Overboss, which was the right way to bypass the VIP quest.

(The problem is when I talk to Music and ask if its ok the talk to the Overboss it automatically starts the VIP quest.)

 Anyway, I got the quest to walk Lyons the dog

Went to Safari Park with Music back to Overboss whipped on the cross for being late and not getting the meal ready

You can’t prepare the food before going in to see the Boss I checked

Just stuck on the cross with Lyons running back and forth.

I thought maybe I had to stay there for a time but nothing happens. Did a save and reload still nothing happens. No HUD and No indication if I’m supposed to just wait or what. Just Lyons running back and forth and the Overboss wandering about.

So, I quit and went back to a save before I met Music and chose the not to go to the Safari Park with Music. Its very difficult to avoid being late in the theatre. Then I couldn’t cook anything. I went into the Fizztop Grill and there was another cooker where I had to prepare the meal!

Anyway, it seems there is nothing you can do to avoid the whipping but this time I could talk to the Overboss and then get out of there.

After That I was able to start the Special Girls quest.

Had the same problem with the Cross, was stuck couldn’t talk to Gage or Fritsch but I used the console and did a moveto Player which enabled me to start talking to them.

Yes, there was a bug in the previous version that basically left you stuck at the cross, but it's fixed now. Do you have the latest version? The latest is 6.3.6

 

In order for the OB not to whip you, you must:
1-Reject Music
2-Do not reject Savoy

 

 

Remember that in the Torture devices cross you have to change the camera perspective to be able to have conversations. I'm not quite sure why that happens but it escapes from my mod. Torture Devices has always behaved like this.

Just tested "AAF_V171-0_beta" and there are a lot of problems with this version.
ALL animations with furniture that are triggered after actors teleportation don't work.
That is, if after the dialog actor or actors are teleported by the script to another place (just another place in the same location), and the scene involves furniture, then the animation does not start. AAF does not report any errors, just shows an endless indicator of scene preparation, but at the same time in the AAF menu, does not show any activity.
Here are examples of such scenes:
Lуnos quest/toilet scene: dialogue takes place in the theater hall, then script moves the actors to the toilet (same location but a another place) and the scene does not start.
Pole dancing in Vadim's bar: after the dialog script moves the character 2-3 meters away, and the scene does not start.
Etc.

The same animations(same id), in cases where there is no teleportation, work without problems.

 

Also scenes with narration don't work.

 

To make sure that the problem is exactly in AAF, not in the latest version of NR, I rolled back to the version "AAF_V166-0_beta" and checked all the same animations, they all work fine.

 

PS

I uninstalled AAF_V166-0_beta and NativeSync before installing "AAF_V171-0_beta".

"AAF_V171-0_beta" error and warning log is clean.

Ego wrote last night that he found the cause and will fix it. He said it's because the tag points to an animation with furniture, but the furniture is not specified in the AAF settings. Almost all of the animations in the first part of Nuka Ride work like this.

I have this constant feeling that people out there are getting scared of, shall we say, little piranhas. And I'm sure they haven't seen the shark yet. And if they do get to see it, oh, boy. I love that Nuka Ride is kind of a little hidden treasure that hasn't drawn so much attention out there, and I'm not sure I want otherwise.

 

But, yes, above all I do it because the actors have expressed that they don't feel comfortable. Hopefully one day this will settle better but I have my doubts when we enter the NSFW field.

So kind of a strange issue, and I've seen this mentioned before.   When I go to Nisha to start the Mule missions (the second one, where you can start working toward the scooter).

When she puts the Nisha outfit on, it changes my body, even the Tats are gone.   

 

It might be because I'm using a custom body (Maya), but I have not had any issues like this so far...every other change has been normal.  I've seen this reported before, and someone mentioned "load order" and I have sorted with Loot, but I'm using Vortex and it's kind of different figuring out how to manually change this.  I may try and see if I can move my "body" after Nuka Ride...but like I said, this is the only time (so far) I've had this issue.

 

I've updated to the latest version of Nuka Ride and reran Body Slide multiple times.  I figure it's something easy...just looking for some guidance.

 

With this mission being optional now, I may just skip it and continue on.

I always forget, but Nisha removes your tattoos because you're going undercover. No one should recognize you. I just forgot to put it in a dialogue.

 

Nisha automatically equips you with the Nisha Outfit, Nisha Boots and Nisha Backpack, so if that doesn't happen it may be an external issue. Maybe you have them in your inventory? Check your pibpoy.

Yep that is why the billy animation on the couch didn't work for me today.

That makes sense, and also explains why even early on in the first versions I was seeing issues with the motorcycle and pole dancing scenes when my AAF scan radius was set lower than default. The scene settings were just setting tags and not specifying the actual furniture reference as a location, so expected AAF to find a suitable piece of furniture within its scan radius.

Hmm...
That sounds kind of weird. The old version also had sometimes that it couldn't find furniture 1 meter away from itself, but it noted it in the log.
The new one pretends that everything is fine, but the animation didn't start.

 

But anyway, I hope it helps.
If it weren't for these issues, I otherwise like how the new version works. It actually works much faster.
When it becomes stable, I'll happily switch to it.

For what it's worth, there's not many mods which call AAF the way NR is (being opinionated about exactly what kind of furniture a scene should use but then not specifying the location for it), so unless you're doing NR quests it's unlikely you'll see the same problem elsewhere.

Unfortunately, personally for me, it doesn't make sense.

As I said a few pages ago: "I don't play Fallout 4, for me Fallout 4 is just a Nuka Ride launcher."

So all I can do is wait ?

from experience: if you don't specify a furniture ID, AAF will scan the area looking for it using default scan radius (if also not specified). So if the PC is far away from the furniture when the scene is called (small radius) AAF will throw an error ("move closer to furniture...").

I run around and around Dry Rock Gulch and found nothing, Mad Mulligan’s Mine which is under the Coaster sign is locked with no clue to where the key is.

Hey JB, I'm trying to figure out what is responsible for the dialogue disruptions on my end.  You say you don't have them at all and figure it's probably a conflict with a common mod,  I tried to disable Extended Dialogue Interface but it borks the save and I would have to start a new game.  Do you use Extended Dialogue Interface, or do you use something else, or nothing?  So far, I've disabled any mod that I thought may have any interaction with dialogue and XDI was the next step.
