AAF Nuka Ride: A Porn Studio Mod

This is my load order based on LOOT after sorting. Weird that I find Nuka Ride so close to the top, but I've still been able to complete quests and use the mod without too much issue.

I apologize if I seem annoying in any way. I'm still kinda new to modding. At least with troubleshooting. 

 

There's a couple of things that I'm hoping I can get resolved, if there's any way to help. 

1. The Nuka Ride outfits that I assume are within the Bodyslide mod (Nuka Ride 6.3 Bodyslide for CBBE 1.2), no longer appear as their own group in the Bodyslide app. The outfits themselves just disappeared, I looked around through all the other outfit filter groups, and there's nothing related to Nuka Ride listed. So my character in game appears without a body when equipped with Nuka Ride outfits. Yesterday I had previously removed some earlier versions/patches for Bodyslide and Nuka Ride, and that's when I started experiencing this issue. I'm wondering if there's something up with the latest Bodyslide for Nuka Ride. If there is something up with this latest Bodyslide file, is it possible that I could get an earlier version to use in the mean time?

2. One thing I noticed yesterday, with the latest version of Nuka Ride (Ver. 6.3.6) is that I'm not receiving a prompt for setting up Nuka Ride. I've kept an earlier version of Nuka Ride (Ver. 6.2.3) to use, but since Ver 6.3.6 is the only one listed when you go to download the mods, I'm assuming that's the main mod file to download to set up the mod, but I am not getting the prompt like I typically have in the past to set up Nuka Ride. Was that a feature change or possibly a bug within the mod file?

Yeah, you're right.
I should have been more specific, to make it clear that I was talking only about the sex scenes in "The Fans" quest.

But anyway, I wish you success in solving your problems.

sounds to me like you may have deleted some base files you actually needed to keep.  If you use MO 2, I suggest installing the latest NR 6.3.6 and then installing any addons, such as bodyslide files as their own mod directly below.  I think the same idea works with vortex as well, but I don't use it so am not sure.

Are you asking to put your music in Nuka Radio.

or one of at least two custom radio mods give instructions on their description page (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/28666

 

Now, you will be editing the NR files, so if you are a real noob, then I suggest you build your own radio station first and get comfortable with FO4Edit.  This is because there are no real guides to modding another modders music files.  It could be as easy as uploading your music file in place of an existing file.

 

However, I strongly recommend you do not mess with any of the commercials.   A few of them are my only contributions to this great mode.

Mod Organizer 2 (its a mod manager, same as Vortex or the older version Nexus Mod Manager) I use vortex so my knowledge is based around that but there are some tips I can give in regards to helping out. (Please dont take any of this as being condescending, people can only help by depending on the information you provide, so being able to give as much information as possible helps with troubleshooting. Lovers Lab mods do require a bit more technical skill and know how in regards to installing mods and getting them working, if you have not already so then I recommend reading the "AAF fucking manual".

  1. Learn the ins and outs of the mod manager that you use, this includes things like how to sort your load order, don't blindly allow loot to sort your mods, it can and will get things wrong. Vortex allows for the creation of "Mod groups" which can be used to put a mod into and it will stay there when sorted. While it has its own groupings they are set in a strict order that can not be changed.
  2. Load orders do not necessarily have to be in a strict order, what does matter is what files/records are being overridden or given priority. Most reasons big mods (Like Nuka Ride) say they need to loaded "last" is to make sure that all the changes they made have the highest chance of being the top priority and that no other mods (except patches) are changing/reverting files.
  3. Learn how to use xEdit (or equivalent), this will help with point 2 in regards to finding conflicts. Every-persons mod list is unique, so while there are patches for communally used mods there is still a good chance of having hidden conflicts you are not aware of.
  4. While not important or totally required learning how to make a Merged/Bashed patch can help to make sure that all the changes to records are in one big patch. This is mostly for larger mod lists or for when you have multiple mods that all make changes to one record and you want to combine different parts.
  5. Try to make sure all mods are installed with your mod manager, this makes it easy to disable or remove mods when they are either no longer needed or being updated. when updating mods make sure the previous version is completely removed. ( Do not just install the new version then load it after the old as it will possibly have bad conflicts or break them both)
  6. In the case you do end up with broken mods/files it is better to first completely remove/uninstall them from your mod manager and then to re add them and reinstall them as if it was your first time. It is also a good idea to keep backups of older versions of mods which are not being used/installed in a separate folder, just in-case the new updated mods break something (One example I can give personally is in regards to updating looksmenu, I had updated to version 1.6.20 and had everything working fine, after taking a break and coming back to Fallout4 six months later, I updated new mods and their requirements. This ended up breaking AAF animations/erections, so I had to downgrade back to 1.6.18)

I know this wont help your exact problem, but I do hope it will help with furture problems that your self or anyone else reading this encounters. Once you have done everything possible on your end to eliminate potential bugs can it help to pin point the problems/bugs in the mod.

No this  should be pretty helpful to him. MO2 pretty much have the same functionality. Just a bit easier to troubleshoot imo

just saying the annoying crash I found (I'm sorry if this has been fixed before I really don't want to go through 400+ pages looking)

 

pretty early on into the entire mod I've been getting a consistent crash in one particular spot when you first get into Nuka world to the left there are some escalators. it doesn't matter if I go to that area when I first start in Nuka world or when you're there for the quest. it is impossible for me to get to the top of those escalators without crashing which for one of the quests you are in the area and crash. Quest related to Crash "a new name" specifically when you get teleported to watch the fireworks

 

using buffout scanner it's saying that it is related to a active effect, I tried to deactivate mods with active effects at the time no luck. I also tried moving the plug-in in my load order to the very bottom and top, the only thing that changed was I no longer got the teleportation to the crash area, but the quest won't move on normally if I'm not in that area. will post my plugins and I know they're not sorted correctly I'm using Loot. boss won't recognize Fallout 4 and yes I play the game normally before mods.

 

 will probably just use console to advance,  played the mod before so I know what happens,  will keep saves in case I need to test a fix

my work around

 

If anybody else have a similar crash issue I set my stage to 25. that will start the power on of Nuka world wait a bit it'll prompt you to talk to Shank choose your name and before he finished talking exit out the dialogue to stop him from teleporting you to another crash. then use the complete Quest command rather than set stage 50

pretty early on into the entire mod I've been getting a consistent crash in one particular spot when you first get into Nuka world to the left there are some escalators. it doesn't matter if I go to that area when I first start in Nuka world or when you're there for the quest. it is impossible for me to get to the top of those escalators without crashing which for one of the quests you are in the area and crash. Quest related to Crash "a new name" specifically when you get teleported to watch the fireworks

 

using buffout scanner it's saying that it is related to a active effect, I tried to deactivate mods with active effects at the time no luck. I also tried moving the plug-in in my load order to the very bottom and top, the only thing that changed was I no longer got the teleportation to the crash area, but the quest won't move on normally if I'm not in that area. will post my plugins and I know they're not sorted correctly I'm using Loot. boss won't recognize Fallout 4 and yes I play the game normally before mods.

 

 will probably just use console to advance,  played the mod before so I know what happens,  will keep saves in case I need to test a fix

Do you have a different crashlog you could post (preferably from buffout) I am not an expert at reading/looking through reports but I cant see anything in that scan which mentions the cause of the crash. In regards to the possible crash being caused by an active effect, knowing what the effect is and from what mod will help you to fix the problem, finding the FormID and using xEdit to look it up well show any conflicts.

Using the console commands to advance/skip the quest is only a temporary fix,, until you encounter another npc with that same active effect, which will cause you to crash again.

Also that scan seems to be reporting a few issues that you may want to sort out, for future stability of your game.

 

(This is purely a personal suggestion, but I would recommend removing armorsmith extended, AWKCR and all related mods that require them. Those mods can be a cause of a lot of crashes just by them selves.)

If anybody else have a similar crash issue I set my stage to 25. that will start the power on of Nuka world wait a bit it'll prompt you to talk to Shank choose your name and before he finished talking exit out the dialogue to stop him from teleporting you to another crash. then use the complete Quest command rather than set stage 50

 

 

Stay away from that area. That area is the starting point for the main dlc quest. And you cannot play both nuka and the dlc. If you start the dlc nuka ride will be disabled. So I assume what happens is the main quest is trying to start and causes the crash. JB have made a lot of changes to the surrounding area.

i think i might have found a bug :
in the mission where i have to wear the police uniform and play domi mummy with the electrician slave, the part where i have to go humiliate keith in cappies café, it seems the dialogue gets stuck. i can give him the wig, the dress, the tattoo and then whichever i choose last is the only dialogue option and its stuck there. cant continue the quest, nor the mod.

Almost all CTD reports are because load order issue, but I find it funny that many keep writing "I don't want to read 400 pages" when literally the answer is in the main post.  ?

 

But I don't know why I'm surprised. Look at his plugin list, he has 6 versions of Live Dismemberment active ? I don't know that mod, but a quick look confirms it:

You are right, I fixed it in version 6.3.5, so you need to update. The new version is 6.3.6, if there are no major problems in the next few days I will update the main post of Loverslab. 

 

Remember to reload a save before you start humiliating Keith, in order to make the fix effective.

Hate to be "that" guy but, what is the goal? making fun of the guys whom are asking for help? making them feel and look bad? or helping? 

I'm the first to support an ironic answer to a disrespectful ironic question, but i dont see that here, I also believe that a polite question demands a polite answer

I think he is right by saying "i dont want to read 400 pages when somebody may have had the same issue and takes him 5 minutes to give me a solution", that is a valid train of tought; we all learn, asking for help around depending on the good will and help of those who had help when they needed it

Yeah he may have many versions of live dismemberment... INACTIVE only one of them has the * active so it has nothing to do with his question.

And if you checked the mod those plugins are in the same download, some of us like to test the difference between all the versions inside the game activating only one at the time, there are no other files but the esp's so there are no issues even if he activates more than one only the last one will work, you don't have to read 1000 posts to see that, just place the mouse on the preview file contents, i mean you already took the time and energy to go and check the mod to write an ironic answer instead of just recomending to move Nuka Ride's esp's to the bottom

Like i said he is not being disrespectul and to my eyes he doesn't deserve an answer like that, we all been there, if you are not going to help, just ignore him, stay in the Himalayas, someone else will pick up the ball and help him like we always help each other

He mentioned escalators. New name does not put you near the escalators. It puts you on top the roof close by. He also mentioned it happens at the start when he goes to the escalators. So he must be going there for some reason. Whatever that reason is I figure the dlc quest is interfering but what do I know lol. I'm no mod author.

Lovers Lab mods do require a bit more technical skill and know how in regards to installing mods and getting them working, if you have not already so then I recommend reading the "AAF fucking manual".

  1. Learn the ins and outs of the mod manager that you use, this includes things like how to sort your load order, don't blindly allow loot to sort your mods, it can and will get things wrong. Vortex allows for the creation of "Mod groups" which can be used to put a mod into and it will stay there when sorted. While it has its own groupings they are set in a strict order that can not be changed.
  2. Load orders do not necessarily have to be in a strict order, what does matter is what files/records are being overridden or given priority. Most reasons big mods (Like Nuka Ride) say they need to loaded "last" is to make sure that all the changes they made have the highest chance of being the top priority and that no other mods (except patches) are changing/reverting files.
  3. Learn how to use xEdit (or equivalent), this will help with point 2 in regards to finding conflicts. Every-persons mod list is unique, so while there are patches for communally used mods there is still a good chance of having hidden conflicts you are not aware of.
  4. While not important or totally required learning how to make a Merged/Bashed patch can help to make sure that all the changes to records are in one big patch. This is mostly for larger mod lists or for when you have multiple mods that all make changes to one record and you want to combine different parts.
  5. Try to make sure all mods are installed with your mod manager, this makes it easy to disable or remove mods when they are either no longer needed or being updated. when updating mods make sure the previous version is completely removed. ( Do not just install the new version then load it after the old as it will possibly have bad conflicts or break them both)
  6. In the case you do end up with broken mods/files it is better to first completely remove/uninstall them from your mod manager and then to re add them and reinstall them as if it was your first time. It is also a good idea to keep backups of older versions of mods which are not being used/installed in a separate folder, just in-case the new updated mods break something (One example I can give personally is in regards to updating looksmenu, I had updated to version 1.6.20 and had everything working fine, after taking a break and coming back to Fallout4 six months later, I updated new mods and their requirements. This ended up breaking AAF animations/erections, so I had to downgrade back to 1.6.18)

I know this wont help your exact problem, but I do hope it will help with furture problems that your self or anyone else reading this encounters. Once you have done everything possible on your end to eliminate potential bugs can it help to pin point the problems/bugs in the mod.

Why waste my time writing a guide if we are all going to do as you suggest? The guide is supposed to save me from spending time troubleshooting problems that are easy to fix. I'm going to go crazy if I have to be here saying every two pages "put NR at the end of your load order" to every ctd report. ?

 

Why should I go the extra mile for someone who doesn't? But that is precisely why I am on pilgrimage, Sister Maria Teresa. I'm going to come back with more patience because right now I have it out of print after 400 pages. ⚰️⚰️

Don't forget to take your laptop on your trip.  I can feel your frustration.  Maybe let others point out the guide or solution, there are a lot of knowledgeable folks here.  Or one could hire one of those knowledgeable folks to act as a Lilliputian flapper.

 

On the other hand, I applaud Gamaramdi for speaking up.  I've been that person who asked an innocent question, only to be lambasted for daring to ask a question.  It's not a good feeling.
