Hmm, well, it was in the plans, that's why there are those dialogues that seem to imply it. The OB even asks you about it in Golden Globes, and you can say you don't like the idea.

But, in the long run, it wasn't convenient for me to create branching paths based on whether you had sex with him or not. It's something that has to be done, that's why I wrote Cherry's dialogue saying that here, what we feel doesn't matter, it's a matter of duty.

Now, it's not out of the question. I'm considering creating a small branch in the cabin where Norita refuses to even give Vittorio the pill and the double blowjob. It's kind of the same situation; I thought it wasn't convenient to branch that out. But now, with a clearer perspective, I can see that I can branch it out. In other words, it's not something that will force me to rewrite variants in future quests. Scene variants, dialogue variants, etc. It's something that usually doubles the work time.

With Cassius? Hmm. I'm not saying no. I'll think about it. It kinda makes sense for Norita to remain very "innocent and shy."  And that could something that Cassius loves it even more.

Thank you! 🙏🏻

I REALLY appreciate all the choices available in this and I can imagine it's a pain, but it is worth it. 😁❤️

Crash log mentions something vanilla although modified by Nuka Ride, i'd doubt it was actually that however as we'd all be crashing at that point if it was a problem

The crash log hints at your system also being kinda maxed out

SYSTEM SPECS:
    OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro v10.0.26200
    CPU: AuthenticAMD AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT with Radeon Graphics
    CPU Cores: 12 logical, 6 physical, 1 packages
    GPU #1: AMD Polaris 20 XL [Radeon RX 580 2048SP]
    GPU #2: AMD Cezanne [Radeon Vega Series / Radeon Vega Mobile Series]
    PHYSICAL MEMORY: 6.44 GB/7.30 GB
    VIRTUAL MEMORY: 30.16 GB/131072.00 GB
    PROCESS MEMORY: Working Set: 588.83 MB, Private: 21311.12 MB, Peak: 3760.80 MB
    PAGE FAULTS: 6861046 (Peak: 3943489536)
    GPU MEMORY: 9.33/7.20 GB
    print_sysinfo: completed in 14.2s (slow)

So maybe this is just a hardware bottle neck that others don't experience as there system can brute force through

Running the log through google AI...

Suggestion 1 - Verify files - imagine that would fuck other stuff up

Suggestion 2 - Check for world texture changing stuff - don't see anything but maybe you use something i wouldn't recognise

Suggestion 3 - use PRP - We already know that will mess the visuals

Suggestion 4 - Lower texture quality to try lower the GPU stress

If 4 doesn't work maybe setstage past the location is about all i could suggest

Sounds like a lap-top system

If so the GPU memory will be half of what is reported.

Either way, the system is not up to what the user is running

Most of what memory/GPU memory is running out of Virtual Memory space  --- ie. SSD which is still slower than system Ram/GPU Ram

It reminds me of a report I received about CTDs happening when entering the tattoo shop, and the log pointed to a tattoo magazine I had posted on the wall. But the real problem was that the user had a faulty texture from a mod that modifies magazines covers, so the CTD was pointing to my mod as the "culprit," but in reality, my mod was the one exposing the faulty texture. I don't know if I'm explaining myself clearly.

Where did you say this happened? Near Gage's car and Kaiser's truck?

@4nln415 I tried that already! 🙃 But I will try it again. Thank you.

The key is to pick up the letter on the floor, which is  under the sofa that you must first remove.

It's definitely a renderer crash, so AI has that right.  I think to follow-up on what pinky suggested, validating files also comes to mind, and GPU mem (if you have texture overhauls, as suggested maybe disable those).  You can turn on the overlay in Steam, it should track GPU MEM/FPS in real time IIRC.  I usually have the overlay turned off, but it might be good to see if GPU MEM spikes before the crash.  Reducing texture quality (i.e. if you have the HD pack, 4K, 2K, maybe reducing to straight-up vanilla textures to see how it goes).  But that's a vanilla material, and I don't see it or the related textures in JB's archives at all, so it's either from a texture overhaul mod or something else.  Sometimes there is a lot of false positives in crash logs, but what we know is it's a renderer crash and the crash logger says your over the GPU mem (which I don't understand that one).

It looks to me this is a desktop system, AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT is a circa-2024 desktop CPU with integrated graphics.  But this system has an external GPU from 2018, Radeon RX 580.  I play on a laptop all the time, really no problems with FO4 or even Cyberpunk 2077, but it's a 12th gen Intel Core w/ NVIDIA RTX 4060 Laptop GPU.

From what i understand this is due to it running out of VRAM so it has pushed stuff into regular RAM

AI suggests

Spoiler
Why the Textures Turned Purple
In game engines (including the Creation Engine), bright neon purple/pink is the universal fallback color for a missing texture. In this specific VRAM spillover scenario, the purple textures happen because: [1, 2]
  • The Pipeline Choke: The game engine expects textures to load instantly from ultra-fast dedicated VRAM. When 2.13 GB of those textures are dumped into sluggish system RAM, the texture streaming system cannot fetch the data quickly enough. [1]
  • The Engine Gives Up: Rather than waiting for the slow system RAM to transfer a texture (which would cause the game to freeze entirely), Fallout 4's engine times out. It drops the request and renders a blank purple asset container instead. [1]
  • The Final Crash: Moments after the purple textures appear, the engine tries to fetch a critical mesh or asset that fails completely across the bottlenecked memory channel, causing the Addictol crash log to generate. [1, 2]

But tbh we kinda beyond my knowledge now, i'm at the unexpected purple = bad level

Might be an AI rabbit hole not worth venturing down but it does suggest

Spoiler
Update your Fallout4.ini
Do not use Fallout4Custom.ini or Fallout4Prefs.ini for texture streaming distances. Open Fallout4.ini, scroll down to find the [General] block, and paste these lines directly underneath it: [1, 2]
ini
[General]
bForceUpdateDiffuseOnly=0
iTextureUpgradeDistance1=7500
iTextureUpgradeDistance0=5000
iTextureDegradeDistance1=7500
iTextureDegradeDistance0=5000
Use code with caution.

  • What this does: This is a community-tested configuration that pushes the threshold for texture loading and unloading further out. It stops the game from aggressively hoarding full-resolution textures near your character while trying to render low-res distant objects simultaneously, preventing the engine from choking on VRAM. [1, 2]

Might be worth a try if nothing else works

Ahh, OK.  I guess that makes sense, never really looked at that stuff before, usually "It just works".  :)

After chatting with him I'll summarise

He's computer is low spec but not that low spec,he doesn't use the high res DLC and runs low grafics he can disable NR and walk around NW with out issues so not a vanilla texture issue

As far as I think NR would be easier on computers with all the shit cleaned out of Nukatown

It makes me wonder if if he's getting sighs that a hardware issue is about to pop up,bad block on HD or a ram stick beginning to go belly up it all seems to do with memory allocation I'm not sure if things want the same memory address everytime or it just picks a available slot randomly

Well considering many people don't have a problem, and people that do have problems seem to have multiple overhaul mods, my money is on their mod list.  I mean why SimSettlements.esm, Commonwealth Slavers, and Problems of Survivors in one mod list, and then also Diamond City Expansion, Triggerwoman Reborn, Pervert, MSMA, Sexual Harassment, it's like a smorgasbord of problems.  I am sure you could get it all working, but I doubt it's going to be fixed here.

Start removing stuff until it's stable.  What we know is crash logger is reporting over GPU mem, it's a renderer crash, and the crash log is pointing at a vanilla material that isn't part of NR.

Can only go from own experience but faulty RAM module resulted in blue screen of death / full computer lockup/restart and not a CTD back into windows when i had a faulty one

Have a SSD so can't really comment on bad HDD sector but i'd think that is small possibility and could be ruled out by running /chkdsk

He did that and when NR is disable he has no probs in NW

Depends on MB I have had it just not show or when using a video editor (ram heavy) crash the PC as it filled it up on a dodgey one ,I don't like ssd's even though I have a couple they give no warning unlike the startup death rattle you get with a spinner

He's got a tricky problem that's for sure but you are right he hasn't uploaded a mod list or load order so NR could be just the straw that's breaking that Camel's back

I guess he solved his problem then, but doesn't achieve the result they wanted.  Personally I would remove all of the other shit, but hey glad it's solved.

Yeah but as soon as he enables NR the problem comes back but again no mod list or load order it could be full of weird stuff,their was a guy a page or two ago insisting his load order was good but in fact his load order was not good so I don't know ,sometimes it's like doing donuts in my old 64 Galaxy round and round we go  lol

Isn't there a way to boost VRAM, I seem to remember there was a process that enables you to share somehow. This was years ago when I played on a machine that was not really up to the task for high graphic demand. Was also when I learned that vram was even a thing.

Oh so far this play though I have not had the NR Patch in my load. So other than there being less people about and some very obvious scenery changes (though I assume that is the basic scenery) Nuka Town also is not nearly as tidy.

Since it's only happening to him in a specific place, which I think was towards the entrance, then it's a conflict with one of his mods.

I would uninstall Commonwealth Slavers because that mod has its own Nuka Town edits (currently some triggerboxes that make your slave collar explode as soon as you try to escape) and that could conflicts with Nuka Ride edits.

I think I have enough courage to give CS another run it sounds like it's come along way since the middle of last year

I thought that would have been a given that mods like that were disabled

The good news is that the setup you need is similar to Nuka-Ride; you just need a few extra mods. The story is already finished, and I'm only uploading quests for the sandbox mode, where you wander around the Commonwealth as a slave and have extra missions to complete.

I played last year all the endings and addicted, non addicted ,it's a ground breaking mod JB and I certainly respect your skill,I'm a low empathy guy (that's why I was an enforcer in a motorcycle club) but that made me feel empathy for my character which was a strange feeling for me and it's taken a while for me to chew through that

thank you everyone, i cant seem to let go of CS it is so damm good bro that i even request JB to make forever slave route which is kinda favorable to me through playing but give the pc freedom and not be chained as reward for being loyal pet and maybe soon in my dreams link with NR as in my imaginary roleplay soon they will merge as one in both Norita's world just like Nora, after using PRP and dealing some its consequences which is just minor blocking of path ways both pc and npc my game is running smoothly. the clean NW surroundings maybe appealing to most of patrons here but i really like the concept of when you start building in a settlement everything looks deserted then you try to clean up the rubble but sometimes those junk scattered is kinda appealing to me the theme of the waste land. on the side of vram With PRP no crash vs without PRP crash on certain zone im staying away on marsh land and wide area like the entrance of NW but im gonna be dealing alot of scenarios as i progress to the story, may load order is still the same with i started interacting in this platform and as you can see i can play this mod there might be hiccups here and there but not that constantly only recently this memoryram now a thing OMG my head hurts

My mod leaves all heels equipped during AAF scenes. And jewelry, rings, earrings, chokers, accessories, etc. If you prefer your character to have nothing equipped, go to the Data/AAF folder and delete the file:

NukaRide_ProtectedEquipmentData

If your real problem is misalignment during scenes (because of the heels), I suggest reinstalling High Heel System and choosing AAF compatibility this time.

Thanks. Looks like I have another issue. I turned hardcore mode off. But I'm at the Abernathy part in the Nora questline and I want to turn it back on, but it won't stick. I turn it on but it says hardcore mode is off at the stream and goes past all the hardcore stuff. Says the script runs but i'm still stuck in softcore mode.

Checked Nuka Ride.ini and : iNR_HardcoreContent=1

Does it check at the start of the quest or something? I changed it mid quest.

edit: checked the hardcore content flag with the console and it's set to 1.00. It won't let me drink soda or eat junk food but it refuses to play the hardocre stuff. I played through to the music trip to bunker hill and it skipped part of that, too.

Also, have you seen this: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/106555
