XunTzu Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Apologies if this has been answered, but I'm having an issue where I have to re-register my companions in order for Estrus Chaurus to trigger on them, every time I transition to a new area.Everything I have is up to date, not sure if this is something with Actor Events or your mod.Advice?Not gamebreaking, but extremely annoying in that everytime I go into a cave I have to re-register.Also, for some reason, it doesn't trigger on Serana, registered and all. Is it only going to work after I complete the whole Dawnguard quest?
alciefrederic Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I can not find Estrus Chaurus tab in my MCM. Actor Events does seem to register Estrus Chaurus however, but there is no effect. Any help ?

You need to be attacked by either a Chaurus or a Chaurus Reaper for this mod to come into play.

Airianna Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 You really need to have something like Defeat or submit for this mod to work properly, to start with... As you have to be beat down, and then fail to keep fighting, then they rape you... That is when the mod comes into play, and the eggs are deposited/fertilized.

HeckinT Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Yeah, Defeat actually interferes with this mod a bit, though not in to extreme a form. If your PC gets knocked down and a Chaurus rapes your PC then, that's counted as normal creature rape through sexlab. Note that Chaurus will play the rape animations if the attacking one is very close when the 'Chaurus Breeder' effect is applied (you'll know when you see the white swirls around your character), but if the Chaurus has some distance when the effect is applied, you'll get the tentacles. Either way, as long as the 'Chaurus Breeder' effect is applied, that's how you know your character got raped through Estrus Chaurus.
Airianna Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Well, after the Chaurus has it's way with me, it no longer attacks, and I do get that status, but every time I get the breeder on the first assault. As I do use defeat, loaded before Estrus Chaurus. And it's the defeat settings that control when they assault... Only problem is that they don't seem to want to stop the other Chaurus from attacking, so I hit console command tim till they are done... And thank you for this mod, it has allowed me to see that these giant rollypolly type bugs are actually a fetish of mine, as I just allow them to have their way... I would love to have one as a follower tho...

Was there ever an explanation/solution for EC 3.357 not recognizing FNIS versions newer than 4.1? I'm using FNIS 5.0.1 and equivalent Creatures version too. If I missed the answer would you kindly direct me to it. Please and thank you.

There is Estrus Mimics ( Inspired by regular mimics, which are essentially living chests that ambush you when you try to open them, you instead have a % chance of certain chests you open creating an Estrus effect on your character.

I had to uninstall the mod because I couldn't deal with going anywhere that had Chaurus because it'd be constant attacks to the point where it was frustrating to fight them and deal with the animation every other attack.

You can set the health required in Actor Events... Min Health, default I think, 40, max health Default 90... Just lower both of these to like 10 and 20, that way you don't get attacked in the first few seconds of the fight.
Slorm Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 A quick question, the Estrus for Skyrim mod needed for this says it needs "Mfg Console" but I found Estrus for Skyrim and Estrus Chaurus seemed to work okay without installing it. So is "Mfg Console" essential as it doesn't seem to do much except add blinking?

To start, I had all the mods installed, but I had more recently updated versions. Such as sexlab 1.39 instead of 1.37. I believe my other mods were all as new as could be as well. This created the problem of the mod being installed, recognized as functional in skyrim on a *LOADED* save, but not showing the mcm menu, and not allowing *NEW* games to be started. I found that highly unusual, because it's often the other way around in my experience. I'm just venturing a guess that all the mods and versions have to be exactly the versions specified, of course nothing previous, but no versions after either? If that is indeed the case, then it's a shame due to many of my other mods being compatible with only updated versions. I'll have to attempt to wait patiently for the next update to this. Looks like a good mod.

Had the same thing it take a good while before it shows but it will eventually Still doesn't fix the can't create a new character without crashing bit, but I suppose as a work around and test, I'll get a character prepped, then exit out, activate the mod, and attempt to work from there.

Also eggs layed from npc is considered "owned" items and i cant take it? Ouh , and one more though, hopefully Is Estrus Chaurus currently support Multiple Follower mods ? Since i register Aela and Lydia (for example o.o), but the option menu in mcm only shows me and Lydia get impregnated, and hence, waiting for incubation time wont make My other follower (in this case , aela ) impregnated/showing symptoms as her belly or boobs got bigger (this is not skelly or mesh problems though, i did all procedures beforehand) Anyone? and Thanks in advance Edit : digging some older posts, try the method to re-register all follower when they're currently in the same cell as i do did worked. But is this supposed to be a known bug or its just me? anyone ? :C

Its a common problem. i usually install mods a few at a time to beat out conflicts and find culprit quicker. i noticed that if i install 5 mods, load in, let them update then save quit and install 5 more including Estrus Chaurus then load in 4 will update (not EC) then save quit, install 5 more, load in, let them load save quit, 5 more then load in, and when they load up usually the mcm will finally appear. Problem is not so much a problem just an MCM lag for EC. if it shows up in actor events and you can modify the settings there in, the mod is running as intended. just keep playing and mcm will load sometime within the next hour (real life time) I know its a pain if you want to update body modifications and such for it but on a new game unless using LaL blackreach start you usually wont see chaurus for at least an hour or 4 anyway and by that time MCM should be there. I usually dont see chaurus for first time until doing the quest line for the oghma infinium. and im in alftand. thats usually one of the first missions i do (after completing game start, up to first dragon kill) and unless playing on easy so you terror stomp through all enemies it should take you an hour or so to get far enough into alftand to see falmer and chaurus.
