AAF Family Planning Enhanced Redux

I've used this mod for a while, and no matter how much I slut my character around, I cant seem to get her pregnant. It worked fine on Family Planning, but not on this mod. I really like it to work, so is there something I do wrong, obvs, but what? Nothing overwrites it, it shows up in MCM. Is there a setting I need to change for it to work?

Did you try the debug to ensure pregnancy is working? There's lots of troubleshooting in the FAQ for this exact scenario to find out what's going wrong.

yeah, it works...yet, it doesn't. It's really weird, since the other version worked flawlessly.

Double check your settings. And run the debug and items to check fertility etc. I had trouble getting pregnant for the longest time until I played with the fertility rate :).

Gonna do a run with the other version first, see if it still works

thanks for your input

Can I make a suggestion?  You could include a "Increased Potency" that could be ticked on for males of a specific race such as Super Mutants,  Synths, etc.  Possibly as a side effect of FEV, genetic or radiation alteration and possibly a higher chance to make the offspring it's own race (Synths would be able to create just about any race depending on the semen contained in their "sacs" for well...experimental purposes.     The male's "Increased Potency" could increase a female's chances of conceiving drastically - willingly or not.

If you're using Wasteland Offspring, you can already independently adjust the chance of impregnation per partner race.

Hi - first off thanks for this mod. I'm new to modding but I'm trying to edit the script fpfp_basepregdata for more immersive mpreg morphs. When I try to compile this script in Creation Kit (even without modifying it at all) it says compilation failed and returns this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Scripts\Source\User\FPFP_BasePregData.psc(977,16): variable RenameAnything is undefined
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Scripts\Source\User\FPFP_BasePregData.psc(977,31): none is not a known user-defined script type
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Scripts\Source\User\FPFP_BasePregData.psc(0,0): Error while trying to typecheck script fpfp_basepregdata: Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list.
No output generated for fpfp_basepregdata.psc, compilation failed.

I have all the sources from AAF installed btw

Any help is appreciated - thx!

so I have added assets from RenameAnything  (so download that mod from Nexus)

After sex I have a message that Player has been infected with something. However, I don't see any additional perks in perk menu. Also, can't get breeder virus.

I really have to fix that issue, (I might just remove the entire thing, (was never really happy with it))

so one question before I start removing them.

do Players here edit the DefUI XML's to have the Tags replaced with Icon's.

because I have been "playing" Fallout 4 with the new FallUI Mods (Icon Library) and that is incompatible with the Tags I've made for FPE and WDF

Old - "[Gift] Romantic Wine"

New option 1 - "Romantic Wine"

New option 2 - "Gift - Romantic Wine"

New option 3 - "Romantic Wine Gift"

which option do you prefer?

(I will be keeping an addon file handy to restore TAG's if required)

Has anyone else had a problem with sleeping in a bed causing the game to freeze. and attempting to load the save causes ctd...I'm stuck.

I had this pretty bad a week or two ago. I'm sure it wasn't this mod, but I have a lot of mods which trigger scripts, and sleeping was crashing me for a while. I no longer have this issue, however. If I remember correctly, what solved it was disabling and re-enabling Survival Mode. I think there were a lot of debuff effects which were crashing me (countless addictions and perversions and whatnot).

First I used standard menu options to go from Survival to Very Hard.

Then I saved the game like this and confirmed sleeping and fast travel didn't crash me.

Then I re-enabled Survival Mode by typing:  cgf "Game.IncrementStat" "Survival Denied" -1

Finally I used the standard menu options again to turn on Survival Mode.

I don't crash anymore sleeping or fast travel, but there was definitely some kind of debuff issue happening, and again, there's no reason for me to think it was this mod.

I think I had this in the past, and seems like it was some combination of Sleep Undress, See You Sleep, Dangerous Nights... basically suspect anything which might try to trigger on going to sleep or waking up, as well as anything which could be happening on autosave. On a positive note, it got me in the habit of always making manual saves immediately before sleeping.

Oh, and if the game does CTD while saving (be it during an autosave on location change, level-up, sleep, exitsave, et cetera) never, ever, EVER resume from that save. While they're usually fine, sometimes they're incomplete in subtle ways which cause problems later. I basically just turn off autosaves as much as the game allows, and quit in ways which prevent exitsaves, in order to ensure I don't accidentally pick a broken save when resuming later.

That's good advice. I play in Survival mode most playthroughs which doesn't allow F5 quick save or menu saving, but I manually save constantly using the console. I create multiple saves by cycling what I call the saves, and I use things easy to type with just left hand. For instance:

save war  (this is my default everything okay save)

save bad (this is what I call a situation from which I might not survive, such as during combat or capture or the like)

save test (I use this when I want to try something and don't know if it'll have issues)

save ward (from time to time when everything is perfect, I refresh this. It's my fall back save if I have to revert)

save war2 (I add numbers on the above to cycle the save locations)

etc.

This. All of my recent CTDs of late I have finally tracked back to autosave. Never crash making a manual save. I dont know what the difference is but autosave is a bitch.

Regarding the freeze while (after?) sleeping, i noticed that this doesn't happen for me if i open the console while the hour counter goes down. Just opening the console and closing it after the countdown and the freeze never happend again while doing so. No solution if you use vanilla survival mode of course... ( maybe with console mod?). Also no saving while sleeping.

So, after someone get pregnant and the time comes to give birth there only A new born quest complete and nothing more. There is no baby anywhere. I checked everything. (wearable baby  option).

@Invictusblade I haven't been able to find a clear answer for this so I'll ask, do you need the addons from the original Family Planning Enhanced? (Dog and Super Mutant addon for example) or are they included in this now?

The description should answer this :)

The only part of the description that seems relevant is that this part is crossed out:

Quote

Then, install AAF Family Planning Enhanced (this mod!)

  • AAF_FamilyPlanningEnhanced_2.610.7z is the main mod file.  You need this.
  • FPESuperMutantAddon.7z allows humans impregnated by Super Mutants to have babies who grow into Super Mutants
  • FPEDogAddon.7z allows humans impregnated by dogs to have puppies who grow into real dogs
  • FPEMakeYourOwnBabyAddon.pdf is instructions for mod authors wishing to make their own baby add-ons
  • FPE_Interface_Script_2.610.7z is an example script for mod authors - you do not need this if you are only playing the game

Once you've installed the mod, start up Fallout 4 and go into the AAF FPE MCM and choose your settings.  Then go forth and procreate!

So that might imply that it is no longer necessary, however that seems to directly contradict the FAQ answer a little lower which is in fact NOT crossed out:

Q: Do third party add-ons work with this version?

A: Yes.  The add-on interface is unchanged from previous versions.  AAF FPE Addon Pack or FPE More Creatures work with this mod, as do the add-ons in the Download section.
